You are very talented and give great energy. The quality of your videos is top notch. You are an asset to Autel. I hope you and your family are blessed.
I did a 2016 Jaguar XE last week. You need to be careful when you desolder the crystal & capacitor. It's hard to do as the solder used by the manufacturer is so strong/hard, it took me a long time to desolder it and I was worried that I might damage the crystal. I managed to finish the job two days later. At first I hooked up my programmer (XP400) and read the Flash & Eeprom file. When I went to add the key, the programmer was NOT reading the key (faulty XP400). I managed to get a second unit (XP400 pro). This unit could read and add the key fine, BUT could not write the files back onto the RFA (faulty XP400 pro). So I had to use one to do the keys and the other to write the files. That's how lucky I am boys and girls. This was my first time doing a Jaguar/Range Rover through the RFA so you can all imagine my frustration. Good luck with your attempt.
hay brother i am happy for you that booked such a risk this is life man some time you need to use you gut to get what need it. well Done an I've just brought the XP400 Pro but still im not going to take that risk unless its not really need it.

How will i "seperate myself from the pack" when your exposing a vehicles security breach and sharing it with the general public. I understand this wont stop and its mainly used to benefit your sales and business, i get it. Your placing tradd secrets for all to see along with the many others, just to sale products and services. Hi Ultra. Thanks for your reply and its a great question. I think this is a limiting belief . If you want to separate yourself from the pack you just need to learn adapt and learn valuable skillsets. Thats what I did. Years ago when I first started , my biggest competition was amazon. Good question Curtis, so tell us with 100% honesty that you have. And I will tell you with 100% certainty this tool won't do 2018 KVM. Also pretty misleading telling guys 'a new KVM is only $200' forgot to add the one of 2 methods of programming 1- Have the vehicle recovered to the dealer, wait until the dealer can do the work (not very quickly as most are currently closed), pay the dealers fee, put the customer in a car hire as you have messed up by not knowing what you are doing. Turns that 'highly profitable' into a massive loss, not only in the short term but reputation is long term. 2- Sign up to Topix, intall Pathfinder, buy JLR DOIP equipment, apply for JLR security accreditation. Boom and in 6 months you can have that module sorted.

I added an XP400 to my IM508 last year to add some European Vehicle key programming capability. My XP400 is now superseded by the XP400 Pro. Is there a comprehensive list of the year, make and model cars that have key chips that the older XP400 is not able to read or do, so I can weed out these cars , and save myself wasted attempts? When I go to function viewer to check capability by make ake , year and model vehicle, it has symbols denoting if it all or part can be done via OBD or by bench mode, but does not specify if an internet connection to Autel's server will be required, and whether or not the XP 400 or XP400 Pro be required.

Im fairly convinced that the tool is a capable unit however this term i hear curtis mention, "function route" seems to be the very thing that i fail to find and i believe if i had a function route for every vehicle, id be golden... Can I program a key fob to a 2011 bmw 528i if I have 1 working key without having to do it on bench? Like would I be able to get the ISN number from that 1 key that works already through obd?
What a great video !!!! I just have one question: what about bcm data ?? I think you need to write it too becuase some day you gonna need emergence starts, is that correct ??
Its always best to read eeprom first when working with secured Freescale processors... because sometimes you can corrupt data.. always remember the eeprom information is vehicle specific immo information and vin information... dflash is pretty much generic across similar vehicles... but eeprom is vehicle specific .... these programmers run crack routines that can sometimes corrupt information.... I'd rather get a good eeprom read and take my chances on the dflash.... but with this specific 2018 and up im608 will not work at all... maybe if the engineers you say that you are in contact with can change the software to emulate the key kind of like with Toyota smart key.. but actually emulate with an original looking key not the apb112 then you can say they have a working process for these models...
Hi my friend. Thanks for your knowledge. I spoke with the engineers and im trying to get a hold of the customers who did the 2018 ( and some 2019) so far. In my experience if I give a vin number to an engineer and they confirm if the function is on the tool ..99 percent of the time works. ( this is my experience) In the even it doenst work they usally send the client a patch to fix the issue .. Or they will tell me if there componant is not compadible. He said and I quote " But I can assure you that 15-18(sometimes 2019) can be done through dump mode and it works. " He also mentioned " We support FK72-XX and HPLA-XX types write key via dump with LandRover and Jaguar and have a lot of successful cases. Because it is an EEPROM job, if unsuccessful, normally the operation problems. For JPLA-RFA 2019, some vehicle use JPLA-RFA , needs to replace to chip to do the key programming. But some still use HPLA-XX which we also support. " I know the suppliers who sell the autel machines dont have a data logging service ... But if they did you can get to the bottom of the issue and fix it. Thats the process I use for my clients. Keep posting your content!
@@AutelConsultancy hey these people at (diagnostic-key.pl) there process is thru OBD no need to remove any modules from vehicle. There process reads data by OBD and programs an emulated original looking key.... Its very expensive there setup but it is very basic... Even if Autel releases a paid version of this process I'm pretty sure any serious technicians like myself would not mind paying additional fees to be able to do like this... hi how are things. I have a problem with land Rover Discovery sport 2016 a client brought it to me to make a key copy. I removed the kvm and read it with autel in safe mode and did the same procedure as always, but this time something happened and the car only works with emergency start.
Hi Justin, once again thanks for this great video. Quick question, once you've read and write data back on the MCU and key programmed. Then in the future can you programme another key without the need of removing RFA/KVM again. Or can you just add key like the BMW F series. BMW F series once you've jail break the FEM, i believe you can just add key anytime without the need to remove the FEM. Thanks Justin.
Usually just adding a key doesn't require doing the all keys lost procedure. Its alot easier to do via obd. Belive it or not ive only done all keys lost on these vehicles so I would need to check with my developer be sure
You wont know until you open it to see if its a secured or unsecured. This is how you tell the difference ruclips.net/video/B8XTzFXbnnA/видео.htmlsi=nzxcDoN5oVyNERu1&t=427

I use my autel im608pro2 to add keys to cars, I bought two keys from my usual key provider and I just normally code them to the car that I by them for but I am trying to code a key to a 2024 range rover sports, the keys are the same frequency and style but when it ask me to hold the key in had then to press any button it never read the kesy, I bought 2 more keys and it is the same results, i then decided to read the keys in the programer and I notice the keys say lock on them even tho they are brand new, how do I unlock the keys, I know how to do it with bmw keys and benz key but I don't see any option for range rover so I am wondering if I need to plug on to the car before I can do so? As for bmw and benz, you don't have to be plugged on to a car to unlock the key, so that's the reason I am asking to see if I can get some answers?
Hi, I didn't get you about otp, what does it mean? If we do vehicle after 18 the only way to make any keys is buy brand new RFA module? Or buy oem keys?
You see, in these newer Land Rover KVMs MCU after 2018 is OTP, which means that if a new key needs to be programmed, the KVM must be replaced since ithe original KVM immo data is married to the vehicle and wont accept other keys . With the Autel we are kinda doing a back door method that will allow us to add a key with out needed to replaced the KVM Module
@AutelConsultancy HI, can you please provide me with information, Can autel Im508 add key to Cadillac Escalade 2023, or GMC Yukon 2023? I tried and failed 2 Times. Thanks.
So if you’ve gotta take stuff out and start soldering small connections, would it just not be cheaper for the customer to get it made at the dealership? Compared to all the time you have to invest.?
I guess it depend on your location. Most dealers are extremely expensive . Especially on Euro vehicles. What I can tell you if your able to to do this procedure ( in terms of soldering) it will open up alot of opportunities for you as there are alot of problems that your able to solve that you can charge a premium

Can I program a key fob to a 2011 bmw 528i if I have 1 working key without having to do it on bench? Like would I be able to get the ISN number from that 1 key that works already through obd?
Do we need to disconnect the battery of the car before removing the kvm ?
Happily following
You said that vehicle can have only 2 keys, and we adding third, do we need to delete the lost one?
Question! Can IP616 do this kind of programming with the XP400?
The autel scanner needs to be label The good the bad and the ugly
Brother many thanks from your video
What a great video !!!! I just have one question: what about bcm data ?? I think you need to write it too becuase some day you gonna need emergence starts, is that correct ??
thats a good point...how do you get emergency start? its just a matter of time
Great video, thank you very much
Its always best to read eeprom first when working with secured Freescale processors... because sometimes you can corrupt data.. always remember the eeprom information is vehicle specific immo information and vin information... dflash is pretty much generic across similar vehicles... but eeprom is vehicle specific .... these programmers run crack routines that can sometimes corrupt information....
@@AutelConsultancy hey these people at
(diagnostic-key.pl) there process is thru OBD no need to remove any modules from vehicle. There process reads data by OBD and programs an emulated original looking key.... Its very expensive there setup but it is very basic... Maybe engineers can look into it and adapt the process into IM608.. Even if Autel releases a paid version of this process I'm pretty sure any serious technicians like myself would not mind paying additional fees to be able to do like this... Its practically a ten minute job with this hardware software package....If you go to there website there is a video on the process.... And if works on 2020 rover jaguar even with active alarm.... Its verified working on forums I am member of.... Take some time and look into it...Thanks

Any idea where we can obtain one of these crystal quartz components? I broke one, getting it off.
Programmed the keys successfully, but buggered it.
Need a new one
Any ideas?
I love your videos
Thanks my friend. I appreciate the kinds words
for some reason the manual only shows MC9s 12 XEQ 384, but I have HPLA -XET 256, and how can I connect to it?
Superb information 👍❤️
Autel needs to be more specific on what cable goes to what for the price of that autel scanner 👎🏻
Hi, can I overwrite key position 1 and 2 with the new keys or delete these at all as they are lost?
Hi Curtis thanks for the great work. Can I use for programming used key or only tne new one?
Please post links to where we can buy the crystal quarts capacitors please. The correct ones for these boards
Hi Curtis have you actually done this process yourself or does it require a specialist?
If you know how to soldier , you can do it yourself. If you dont you can outsource it
Great video man thank you!
Thx you so much
Holly snap. Just like that
First time trying to print an Operating Guide. My IM608 only has one option under the print dropdown 'Print this page'. I cannot figure out a way to print the entire operating guide?
Thanks
Hey man why is your video always 10 frames per second. I enjoy your videos but the setup is just off. Is it because of the animations and software you’re using?
Curtis, I emailed you several time and NO RESPONSE any reason for this? Please Explain...
Hey Lou, did you book a consult with me? Go to www.auteltech.co.za and book a diagnostic tool consutlation. Follow the prompts and book the date and time you would like me to consult you.

hi how are things. I have a problem with land Rover Discovery sport 2016 a client brought it to me to make a key copy. I removed the kvm and read it with autel in safe mode and did the same procedure as always, but this time something happened and the car only works with emergency start.
I have a range rover sport 2016 akl situation what i do for program a new key the system is lock i hav
hello good video!!! Can you also learn a used (from another vehicle) key fob on this car?
The soldering diagram is different between secured and unsecured.
How to know which module we doing before soldering and reading?
You wont know until you open it to see if its a secured or unsecured. This is how you tell the difference ruclips.net/video/B8XTzFXbnnA/видео.htmlsi=nzxcDoN5oVyNERu1&t=427
@@AutelConsultancy thank you so much))
IM 508+XP400PRO can DO THIS program
Will the 508 do this as well? Can u distinguish what the 508 can't do?
That damage can cause the xp400 an obd2, as you can tell if an xp400 is damaged
GOOD VIDEO WHY NOT EXPLAIN WHEN IS 2 KEY THAT WE NEED TO ADD AT THESAME TIME FOR THOSE WHO DONT KNOW THAT WE NEED TO TAKE THE FIRST KEY FILLE TO WRITE THESECOND KEY thanks and MORE IMPROVEMENT
Hello, i can create key for Range Rover Sport 2021 ?
Please can the im508 program or add key to Range Rover 2018???
Where can I buy a crystal quartz capacitor? I damaged one? Would radio shack carry these?
Hi Just bought the im608 will the Autel program the new KVM /RFA box and then new keys ?kind regards Steve HSD Electrics
@@AutelConsultancy thanks
@AutelConsultancy HI, can you please provide me with information,
Can autel Im508 add key to Cadillac Escalade 2023, or GMC Yukon 2023?
I tried and failed 2 Times.
Thanks.
Great to know!
Very interesting
So if you’ve gotta take stuff out and start soldering small connections, would it just not be cheaper for the customer to get it made at the dealership? Compared to all the time you have to invest.?
I guess it depend on your location. Most dealers are extremely expensive . Especially on Euro vehicles. What I can tell you if your able to to do this procedure ( in terms of soldering) it will open up alot of opportunities for you as there are alot of problems that your able to solve that you can charge a premium
The iIM608 Pro does not come with "apa106". It has "apa107" "apa108", and "apa109" same thing?
i’ve seen someone adding key by going to RFA replacement menu and he claims that he didnot replace the RFA module, and that he did not even disassemble the orginal RFA. Could it be true ?
Yes, Ive done this before. It really depends on what type of system thats installed in the vehicle
I also want to buy the tool and need your assistance
Wonderful
Hi there. Ready to buy a scanner, just not sure which one, we starting to work on cars, mechanic. But also need for programming keys. Thanks in advance for any help.
HI Gustavo.. If you want to get the right tool strategy and also want to get results with the tool I recommend... Go to www.auteltech.co.za and book a diagnostic tool consultation. Ill take the time to learn about your business and give you a tool strategy. Hope this helps
Thanks for the video! I don’t work on too many rovers but just knowing the hookup is definitely helpful! I have t used by 608 to program amy keys yet... Will it work on 2018 Chevy and ford trucks?
If you wanted to work on us cars you could have spent less with a different programming tool
The autel scanner it’s pretty bad when it comes to Nissan
2016 Evoque. All keys lost. Hatch doesn't open with exterior or interior button. Can't take carpet off to get to RFA without opening rear hatch. Looks like it probably has electronic (no cable) latch so even if we hack into the hatch from inside I don't think we could open it. Anyone find a solution for this situation?
