Excellent video ,, Question,,, how do you know what frequency to use ,, 315MHz or 434mhz ? I didn’t see the autel tells you anything like frequency? ( all keys lost)
im just curius what you charge for this job? i did one a few weeks ago with im608 and for whatever reason (im not amatuer) but even though the im608 was able to program correctly etc with same method, the car kept saying "wrong smart key" from what i could gather the CAN system would NOT refresh. I did the whole vehicle reset procedure or whatever and few other things. and could not still get it to work. Previously before programming it said "Smart key not found" but after it said "wrong smart key" which made sense as the RFA had different smart keys now and the CAN network i guess was seeing the old keys. Did you have any of those issues? i ended up going the OBD route with ACDP. which worked fine (and i should have done that first) but originally as you also thought. the RFA they make it seem like its easy to get to but NOT on the RR like you are working on (mine was 2015/2016) i ask why what you charged so i could get a sense of average going the RFA route. Although i dont mind doing the RFA route but when the damn thing didnt want to work really pissed me off. And of course we ALL know how STUPID the customer gets when something "doesnt work right away" we just need to troubleshoot some. but this customer (annoying ass older woman acts like shes a kardashian age "25" when shes really like 50 almost
Hello! We charge around $400 for one key and programming. I have been through the same exact problem. The car would lock and unlock but will not recognize the key. I called Autel and made data logging but they didn’t give me proper answer what the problem can be. I used vvdi prog and vvdi2 to finish the job.

@@huyug1 thank you. I think you meant work below 2015. witches' right I've done 2015 with my Autel. and I've seen them doing it with key tool plus and the regroover adapter.
@@dashtyatg1824 yes only up to 2015 with after market tools. Between 2015 and 2018 pathfinder and SDD softwares are the only ones to program through obd. After 2018 I don’t even think dealer programs keys instead they program them a new RFA or KVM as much as I know.

All functions worked at the point I left and no complaints so far.
Nop wrong -key won't work in induction area as it's been added directly to RFA box

There should be some pictures on The tool that will tell you if it’s locked or not
I tried a 2016 evoque recently and the tool said it was an unknown software. Showed me the number too.
This job can be done in seconds with JLR Doctor tool from Simon Touch

Autel basically have problem with locking the transponder portion of the key.
Today I just disconnected the RFA and connected it back it then stopped detecting it’s original key then after 10mins started working
always risk. get yourself jlr sdd for backup

Unfortunately OBD won’t work for after market tool including Autel and XHorse. But OBD will work year up to 2015.

@@huyug1 Lonsdale kS518 can do by obd, add key or all keys lost up to 2018. Done several o f them.
