@@FoodHistory524 I used to eat them when I worked construction in the summer in Maine. A young girl was our gopher who went in to town for supplies and would always bring me some. Still does, and we will be celebrating 50 years of marriage in July!

How great that you had such a varied experience with treats! Apparently tastes and assortments were very different back in those years. Bazooka chewing gum with comics is one of my favorites!
Tootsie Rolls are classic! The fruit-flavored ones are definitely a tasty twist on the original. It's amazing how candy can bring back memories of different eras and experiences.
Candy taste a lot better back then, today candy taste so different.😂 Hershey bar it's not the same as it was back then. There's a lot of candy that tastes different from back then than today.

For a treat this summer. put some Milky Way bars in your freezer. Better yet, freeze a bag of miniature Milky Ways ( not for kids under 3 ).
