I've only been playing for around a month and getter better, but things I'm still experimenting with is where to aim with the dart (I'm currently placing the dart at eye level where I want it on the board which makes it a blind spot of sorts) I've seen many different throws from different players but this works best for me but should I stick to it or change it slightly as wouldn't expect this to be the best strategy especially when comes to doubles, also the angle the dart is at prethrow (currently try to have it level, but occasionally try pointing it slightly up)
@@guitarstaraces746 For what it's worth, i improved a lot when I stopped thinking about the throw as if I was "aiming a gun" and started thinking about it more like throwing a ball to someone across a room. It's important to throw from a consistent place, but the dart doesn't have to be held pointing at the exact target like when you sight a gun. Having said that, it's different for everyone i'm sure, so do what works best!

I've hit 5 140's in last week throwing this way, and can hit the double in around 5ish darts so kinda reluctant to change it, seen so many different throws, some where they throw from the side of their face, some where they move the dart from near right shoulder to in front of their face and throw lol will just stick to what I'm doing for time being sure I will tweak it a little the more I practice 👍🏻
I’ve always had difficulties knowing how hard to grip my darts. Best advice I’ve ever heard is to grip the dart as if you were holding a pencil and were shading something in. It certainly worked for me, and really helped.
OK, When I throw the dart the way others do, I can't seem to get enough strength in the throw to even make the board, but if I angle it so it sort of loops down I do much better. I am told this is not correct. I use the 90 degree angle, but I just can't make the board witha straight throw. So, do I just keep doing it with the angle or is there some trick to the force required to hit the target?

u say pick up the dart like a pen which i get but i dont write left handed so this doesnt feel natural. seeing as i write with my right hand and throw with my left hand. so should i mayb practice writing or scribbling left handed? im open to any suggestions.

Which will bring you next to, is or are your hand/fingers in front or behind the dart. Therefore bringing us to the 1,000 year old lie.
