The best reaction!!! Congrats and thanks, brother!
Brother, your skin is black, mine is white. My age is almost 70, and you are young. Perhaps 10 thousand kilometers separate us: I live in Italy and you in the USA. You have beautiful thick hair and I have little white hair.
But listening to that music you moved the way I move, you said the same things I thought. You had the same facial expressions.
And this moved me.
It was wonderful!
Thank you
Well said. Good music lives on!!
Same message here from Canada. Old white Christian man. They say things about us, but this is the beuty in our hearts. In these moments our souls shared something.
Same message here from Sweden :). 57 y Old white dude just loving this !
well said, dear..hai perfettamente ragione.
Amen to that from a 63 year old biker. I think Gillan wrote this in a kind of protest against the cold war. Isn't it amazing that this song is still uniting people 54 years on?
This song is more relevant today than ever!
Deep Purple are Rock royalty .. Name a major Rock band from the last four decades and you'll almost certainly be able to trace things back to Deep Purple. They've been credited as an influence for the likes of Queen, Metallica, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Alice In Chains and many more of the most iconic rock bands of our Generation.and almost all the hard rock bands... LEGENDS.!
A strong part of the Unholy Trinity.
@@KarlXByrne they are pioners of hard rock and heavy metal, co-creators with Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath from 1968.
@@rimisark Preaching to the choir here mate.
They are fire, you are absolutely correct. DP is one of the best bands in rock history, this song is beyond epic, beyond classic. And Ian, well, Ian is the best rock singer of all time, in my opinion.
Brilliant reaction. Real musicians without autotune ❤ 😊😊😊
The whole band are incredible
62 yr old white chick with a sunburn...l have been watching these 'reaction' videos for a few weeks now and your reaction to this timeless song is the most sincere yet. l have been laughing so hard for the first time in a long time that my face hurts...THANK YOU..GOD SPEED !!!
Ian Gillan, Ian Pace, Roger Glover, John Lord and Ritchie Blackmore! There’s no better lineup in both Deep Purple and any other band! 1969-1972 belongs to them! LEGENDS! RIP John!
It has been a rough week! But I found your channel again and I'm spending the rest of my night catching up on your awesome reactions! You make my heart smile, and my soul ADORES your soul! Thank you for what you do. It is a blessing and an honor to share with you the music that is the soundtrack of my life. God bless you, my Friend.
This is an AMAZING performance from all the band members, great reaction, so much feel in the music
I've always been an avid rock/metal fan but discovered Deep Purple a few years ago, the first song I listened to was "Starstruck". Now I listen to them almost every day, such an amazingly talented band with so many absolute bangers. Honestly believe no band or group has even come near Deep Purple's unique style & vocals.
One of their best songs and such a great performance. Those vocals! Great choice, it was fun to watch you react to this gem.
Listen to him sing Gethsemane from Jesus Christ Superstar.
@@lindalou6105 I just listened to it, awesome performance. What a great voice!
A great song from my childhood. So happy people still get joy from this amazing song!
I don't think Jon Lord will ever be surpassed on keyboards and Ian Paice is right up there with John Bonham, Ritchie Blackmore is just spot on perfection.
Absolutely
It’s not john bonham its roger glover
@@ozanna55 I know who Roger Glover is, If you go back and read my comment I was saying that Ian Paice is on the same level as John Bonham.
That guy is a bit stupid 😂
My favourite all time band, no body does it better than MR IAN GILLIAN .
I was 18 years old and it was a great Time..regards from Switzerland
A masterpiece for sure! This is the stuff that I grew up on, I as 14 when it came out. A primal scream set to music. The audiece was told to sit quietly
my man was about to explode lol
hahaha
I'm so pleased you enjoyed this....iv listened to this a 100 times and still get goosebumps....my favourite of all time this
Ohhh my❤❤ His voice is magical💝 My Brothers used to play Deep 💜 Purple & so many other uniques!
- New South Wales, Australia
- You are enjoying it🌺 yayyyy!
I LOVE DEEP PURPLE!!!!! THANK YOU FOR THE REACTION!!!!!
Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath - known as the Unholy Trinity!
Thanks for putting purple first..most put them third for some reason.
@@ponytrekker8996 in no particular order man, all 3 so different
@@viniv20 they certainly are different.that’s what makes them so unique
Uriah Heep (: Quartetto
And uriah Heep!
That was and still is real music.
Deep Purple has always been one of my favorite bands for sure
They are from 67 and they are still active with the same vocal now!
kkkkkkkkkkkkk ian = killer in this time , a real vocal, maybe he dont suport this level for many years but ok he is a top ten vocals in metal ever for sure
Legendary, absolutely legendary.
Make war no more 😢🎉😮
This song is about the Vietnam war. One of the best rock songs ever written according to many resources.
Actually it's an anti-nuclear, anti-cold war song, which was a bigger concern in the UK than the Vietnam war at the time.
Ians voice for me was one of the truely great voices ever, Freddie Mercury gets so much praise yet people like Ian dont. Richard Ashcroft from the Verve and Prince also are truely great singers and Rob Halford and Layne Staley from Alice in Chains, Eric Burdon of the Animals and Steve Marriott from the Small Faces and Humble pie.
!!!GOODISM¡¡¡ Greetings from Argentina
You should consider the singer Ian Gillan version of Gethsemane from Jesus Christ Superstar. Unbelievable 😍
This song is like artwork, a masterpiece. I never ever get tired of this song of them.
This is the one I have been waiting for my friend ! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Congratulations on a truly Great reaction to one of the Greatest songs ever composed and performed.
There are many more for you to discover
You have to try "highway star" made in japan/live, and "Burn" live in California. Both are fire from Deep Purple!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
great reaction!! man, we had great music in the 70s.
I haven't seen this channel until today and something that I'd like to appreciate to you is that you are not stopping the video every single 5 seconds to comment obvious things. A real video reaction. Well done!
I appreciate that!
Amazing reaction! I had a similar experience not too long ago when I saw this for the first time. I have no idea what the ending was about, but I believe the rest of the song was a war protest. And the only thing I can say about the crowds at the time is; every time I see a band perform on a TV show, the crowd is like this. Maybe it has something to do with the tech at time and crowd noise would interfere with the bands audio...IDK. I was 2 when this came out so I'm guessing.
You have the best facial expressions on all of YT, my friend. It brings me joy to see you having so much fun!! Keep rockin and stay safe. Peace out.
The final part is always improvisation and it is always different in both sound and meaning at different performances.
The entire Deep Purple In Rock album, which this song comes from, is an incredible listening experience.
Lots of bands used electric organs back before synthesizers were invented.
Great reaction to a great song
This "reaction" is phony.
Adoro a Deep Purple 💜💜💜💜💜
I've seen a lot of reactions to this song on RUclips, but honestly this is by far the best. It's so wonderful to see somebody discovering one of my all-time favourite pieces of music for the first time with such wonderful enthusiasm and enjoyment 👍
Thank you Bob, means alot!
One of the greatest rock bands ever!
So glad you like them. My favs
Dude had his face melted
I love u man!!
Amazing reaction.
I'm glad u find that amazing band.
Being speechless for twenty seconds after it ends is the appropriate response. 😺
@@wanrelief The same was true for me in the early 70s! MACHINE HEAD was one of the first phonograph records I bought, just after it was first released!
That geezer looks like he’s painting, not playing!! Amazing band🇬🇧👍
Yeah, them boys were part of the big three out of the uk.back in the 7o's.
intruducing the ORGAN player Jon Lord, R.I.P , Deep Purple part of the so called unholy trinity of hard rock and early metal. the others being Led Zeppelin And Black Sabbath. and maybe one could also mention Uriah Heep. Btw their live album Made In Japan considered by many to be one of the if not the best livealbum of that era
Great reaction! I grow up with this music. Greetings from Germany
Glad you enjoyed!
The Trifecta of British 70s Heavy rock Deep Purple, Led Zepp and Black Sabbath , and then are there is also The Who, The Stone's, Pink Floyd then the new metal bands like Iron Madian for a small country we have gave the world the best rock music ever and of course the Band who kicked in the door for all who followed THE BEATLES so nuff said. The days when the rock gods walked among us, god i miss the 70s
Love them 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
🤩👍💥💯🎼
"Èl Clàssico" of Classic Rock!
🤘😎💙🎶
Sometimes, good spirits will guide worthy mortals in the ways to make music that will please God Himself...
It was an anti war song (Vietnam), soldiers hoping to survive the war
My reaction is the same!! FIRE!!!!
Masterpiece ❤
Because the recorded the audience has to be cpmpletly quiet !
The lyrics are about/against war, not love!
Yessssss man , this is Deep Purple one of the three fathers of hard , and heavy rock.
Try to check Highway Star from the most icónic and lengendary àlbum recorded in a live concert ,this is Deep Purple MADE IN JAPAN.
I'm 62 from Barcelona Spain and in my youth was so dificult get good new músic from out of my country becouse the political situation with Franquism. So if your are an Made In Japan owner you were so so cool. Youngs use to do private parties when parents are not at home usually everybody brings his records that could be damaged or simply desapears.
Bought a couple times the àlbum and at t'he end i've to buy It in CD .
On my 50 birthday my wife gif to me a new Vinyl àlbum and when i heard t'he first beat from Highway Star i couldn't stop drop some tears.
Thanks for your fresh and honest reaction.
Keep on rocking guy
Excuse my english hope you can understand this long text.😊
Beautiful reaction! Listen to Deep Purple -Burn (another epic tune albeit with other singer and bassist/singer!)
Absolutely amazing... WOW!!!! 👍🏾
If you like Deep Purple, you might like to check out the brilliant cover of Perfect Strangers by female DP cover band Strange Kind of Women. You won't be disappointed, I guarantee.

This is beautiful rock music..❤❤ yeeh yaeh you black HERO..😂😂😂
Da paura💪💪👏👏
Blackmore killer solo
You should listen the concerto for the group and orchestra. The second movement
That is a masterpiece ❤
It was a recording ……..therefore the reticence
❤❤❤
💯
The audience was not ready for this......I'm 74 and diggin' it just as I did then, so much music written without a formula imposed by record labels, masterpieces. Then.....record labels.........money bought out creativity.....
If you like this, you should listen to the live version on the "Made in Japan" album.
I fact, listen to the entire album - it will blow your mind!
it's not a piano. it's an organ.
Its i MOG
He said. He blew his mind all against the wall
