  • "A closer look at 3 of our top outboard motors - the Minn Kota Endura MAX Electric or trolling outboard, the Torqeedo travel 1103 outboard - the latest electric propulsion system with an integrated battery and the Mariner 4-stroke 2.5hp traditional petrol outboard. We've got ourselves a dinghy - let's see how well each of these motors push us along against the tide on the River Hamble." Leigh Jacobs, Force 4 Director.

Such a good real life review, better than 1000 words of advertising literature, easy to make a decision. Thank you so much!

This is the best trolling motor I have ever owned. Very powerful and the salt water does not have any affect on it. The reverse is just as powerful. This motor performs just as well as the high dollar motors.

Really useful to have these comparison vids and grateful for them, but........why is there so much background shop chatter? It's so intrusive and detracts from the effort that you put into them.

Hello, thank you for your feedback, we have taken this on board. Production quality is something we are working on improving over the coming months so this should hopefully become less of a distraction in future videos.

The negative I have of the Minn-Kota-ENDURA-MAX-55lb is it has such a long shaft, looks like my shoulders would be uncomfortable operating it with the tillier been so high up especially sat lower in the sib.
Do minn kota have a short shaft?

      Hi Mark,
The Minn Kota Endura that we stock is the shorter shaft option that Minn Kota do. Its a 36" shaft, the other shaft option is 42".
It is adjustable, in as much as you can slide the engine up and down in the bracket to give you some more height options and comfort.

Does the pump come with different size adapters for various inflation valves?

    • @Force4Chandleryltd

      Hi Mark,
The pump comes with the now fairly common twist on inflation adapter - what is now found on most inflatable dinghies and inflatable paddle boards.
What it does have is a gasket on this adapter that is removable to allow for valves that have different depths so that you can twist it to engage the valve.

Do you have any idea of the current speed there? I'm wanting to take the Minn Kota on the Trent at the Nottingham stretch. I'm finding it hard to get any clue what current speeds could be, on ANY river (I do appreciate it's variable on location and rainfall etc.).

      Hello,
We were doing 2.1 knots against the incoming tide in the River Hamble. According to some dedicated locals on the river, incoming and outgoing tides can reach up to 3 knots of current, sometimes more. Unfortunately we don't know what the tidal flow was that day.
