I like what you are doing, and hopefully, will you release more on the Solvol sv08 VERRY soon. I have the sv08 on order and am jennuly excited about it. I'm looking forward to seeing you soon.

    Thanks for the comparison .This seems to be a pretty decent printer. I watch just about every review and test of this machine.
    I'm more interested in accuracy than speed, especially as Z height increases. Would it be possible for you to do a test to explore this? Some narrow cylinders and square columns at different sizes in vase mode would do it! Maybe 5mm, 10mm and 20mm in diameter - and at different speeds too.

      You will always have innacurracies on an FDM printer, you can get close but never perfect. Calibrate steps and that's it.
      If you want tight and small, try resin.

      @phasesecuritytechnology6573 24 дня назад +1

      What slicer are you using and how are you tuning the cooling? Banding is not a printer anomaly, it's a layer time cooling logic anomaly. You have to slice banding out of the profile. If you get banding on a part and then use the exact same profile and filament settings but for another printer you will still get banding.

    58 minutes to print a PETG benchy on an X1C? Is that using the overly conservative Generic PETG profile Bambu has? Bambu is really conservative with their generic profiles and some of the max flow rates are half of what the filament is actually capable of. When I loaded my Creality PETG profile into Orca, I got a 30 minute total print time with the X1C.

    • @Lost3DPrints

      Stock everything, Bambu PETG Basic profile, 59mins 17s

    • @Mildly_Amused
      @Mildly_Amused 24 дня назад +1

      @@Lost3DPrints That's the issue. Bambu's generic material profiles are so ridiculously over conservative that it adds unnecessary time to the print. I did the max flow rate tests in Orca slicer and found that many of the Bambu generic profiles can have their maximum flow rate increased by at least 40-50% even with the cheapest filament I can find on Amazon. That's after reducing the max flow rate by 10% for a margin of safety. I have several 3D printers and was shocked at how conservative Bambu is with their filament profiles in terms of max flow rate for non Bambu filament compared to some slower printers. Orca slicer uses many of the filament profiles as Bambu slicer so it has the same issue.

    • @crashingsux
      @crashingsux 24 дня назад

      @@Mildly_Amused I think Bambu purposely tunes slow enough to allow you to turn speed up 66% (for ludicrous speed setting) so anyone can turn the speed up without having to reslice or have issues. I keep my Voron's tuned so close to the edge you add 15% and will hit issues, but on my wife's Bambu I can take any print, crank the speed up 66% and it prints the same, telling me the stock profiles are printing way slower than needed.

    • @Lost3DPrints
      @Lost3DPrints  23 дня назад +1

    • @Mildly_Amused
      @Mildly_Amused 23 дня назад

      @@crashingsux That's not how the ludicrous speed setting works. Ludicrous speed is still limited by the same max flow rate for the filament profile in the slicer. Compensating for Ludicrous speed has nothing to do with the overly conservative max flow rates that Bambu uses.

      @@Lost3DPrints Speed Benchy GCODE that came with the printer (Ender 3 V3 Plus). When I sliced it myself, I got the 33 minutes with Generic PLA. Standard profile 0.25 layers. Tried to slice for Generic PETG and got 38 minutes with the same settings. All those are default settings as I just got the printer and am not yet inclined to experiment since I'm SOOO happy with the results as is! I had heavily moded E3 Pro with Sprite and 1mm nozzle before, mostly printing at 0.7 layer... adjusting profiles to get a good and fast print was nightmare for this setup. So this is not a fair out of the box comparision? then why do you compare it - almost an hour is painfully slow on an X1 or P1 series, this is possible way faster as others have already suggested
    you do something terribly wrong - Benchy with SpeedBoatRace Parameters on my Bambu Lab Printer slices with stock settings and the generic PETG profile (which is painfully slow, because it has a crippled flow rate) just over 40 minutes

      @@Lost3DPrints doing calibrations in orca is the exact opposite of using stock settings! Come on man everyone knows this and no other RUclipsr compares printers in this manner. You are buying a Toyota and comparing it to a Honda but the Honda has been to the speed shop for ecu improvements. Not a proper comparison. @@Lost3DPrints my point exactly. There are no profiles in orca for this printer as of 2 weeks ago. You went to a third party site, got some optimised settings and then did orca call which further tunes everything perfectly. Now do the same for your x1c and watch what happens. You will not be using 12mm vfr, it will top out at more like 20-22. If you want to compare what average consumers get from out of the box settings this did not do that. An average user will not be buying an sv08. They will be buying a ready to run printer so compare two of those and start from there.

      A1 has a much smaller print volume. Closed source design. Closed source firmware. Bambu is the leader in multi-color at the moment, but that may change, in time. This printer is better compared to the P1P, in it's (SV08's) open form.
      Sovol has done something that a lot of people have been waiting for. A ready made Voron. They also released all of the files for the design of the printer. This thing is bound to have tremendous community support.
      Bambu is not going anywhere and has nearly made 3d printers standard, easy to use appliances rather than hobby machines. A few years ago, I would have said the Prusa MK3s+ was the best consumer ready printer. Bambu, imo, has certainly taken that spot and will remain there for a long time.
