Oh and about the poppy, I actually had this debate with the royal British legion some years ago, and they said it doesn’t signify 11am ( even though I thought it did) and also it doesn’t matter what side you wear it on, ( I always thought there was for that too )
As long as we wear a poppy and understand the significance that’s all that matters

I started an apprenticeship 54 years ago in 1969, my nett pay for the first year was £6 - 6 shillings - 3 pence (or £6-32 in todays decimal money) I had to live away from home for the first 3 years in digs that cost £5 a week and it cost about £1 a week to travel from home to my digs and back again. I was left with a whole 6 shillings and 3 pence (32p) to buy lunch every day. Luckily I got a small youth training grant each week which was £1 - 12 shillings - 6 pence (£1 - 62p) so I didn’t starve. Fortunately my mum didn’t charge for my keep until I was back home full time.

No ur right wages dont go up. My husband is 58 and has worked in a school for 18 years. Hes not a teacher but does just as much as a teacher does. Hes a strong member of the team and because of this they put on him and some staff cnt cope . They get paid a lot more money then him. He fetches just over 1650 a month which for what he does is crap. So yes all food bills fuel are going up but wages no. Hes not had a pay rise for ages. Xx

He'd been given 6 lessons to cover all ready this morning by 7.30am. He had a massive heart operation in june he was off 4 weeks prior to the school holidays. And then obviously had the summer holidays off . He's been put on monitoring for 3 months for been on sick for 4 weeks off. He's worked there 18 years and upto last year had only had 9 days off in all them years. It's disgusting how they treat people. X
