I agree with Rob, i use the Toilette and shower in my caravan as i cannot abide walking into the ablutions and smelling other peoples Toilette smells. No matter how nice the blocks are!

We all cringe when our warranties runs out. Unfortunately things do go wrong with our motorhomes but you sound like your a hands on bloke and more than competent to carry the repairs yourself. You have a good following I'm sure if you don't know, someone out there will be able to advise. Great vlog again😊

If you spend £20k on a car you do not get the issues that spending £70+k on a motorhome gives you.
I think they just throw them together now, the old ones don't seem to have issues like the new ones do.
And as Rob said it's loosing time of work to drop it back to get it fixed is really annoying, I think they should pay for your lost wages.!!

Wow, that’s an awful lot of work done on a new motorhome. Glad we’ve got a secondhand one. We’re having work done, but it’s work we want done, like new additional solar panels. Oh and a full English breakfast here is 5€ for a small one & 7€ for a large, which just doubles up to 2 sausages, 2 eggs, 2 rashers of bacon, mushrooms, beans, grilled tomatoes & hash browns. You also get a mug of tea or coffee

Hi I think you said you may go back to end lounge, we bought a Swift escape 647 in 2020, so we had to makeup the bed at night, every time you moved the bed creaked, the rail's that hold the slats collapse after 6 months cheap plastic, I asked AEG if they had problems with them yes was the reply, I do like the end lounge but have decided to have a fixed bed, and go back to a caravan Bailey Alicanto Grande Lisban, no more Swifts, my list was as long as yours as regards problems.
Hi we will be keeping our fixed bed we have heard so many stories like yours 👍 it’s not just swift that have problems we have hundreds of messages of people having many problems with all kinds of vans 👍

I'm with Lynn. There's way more room to have a proper shower in the toilet blocks and you're not messing up your own little bathroom in the van.... I never used the bathroom in my caravan except toilet in the night.. So much easier in the long run and bathroom looked brandnew when I sold it on 😊
Thank you, and yes absolutely, and I hate having a frugal shower, turning it on and off, if we don’t have the facilities then i will use it, but I do prefer a long hot shower 😊😊

I am glad for you that you got your warranty work in, not glad that there was so much.. I agree 100% you spend all that money and this happens, it’s like everything these days no matter what it is, you get a good one that’s a bonus but if you get a lemon 🍋 that’s not good. Sounds expensive but I agree with Lynn, if you have toilet blocks use them, save your chemicals and use the facilities that you've paid for especially the showers as it's all wear and tear on your system.

The PSU unit lynn will not come with another 12 months on it as it was replaced within the time frame of the warranty .
Think off it this way if your washing machine was not able to be repaired and was replaced by the dealership the machine runs from the point it was brought and any remaining warranty continues till it runs out .

I'm with Lynn, shower block everytime for me (plenty of room & me time) also I'm with Rob i don't like the ford cab either, glad you enjoyed you 3 nights, we got a month of work ahead of us soon but after that will be looking to get away, can't wait xx
You can’t beat a long hot shower, not a frugal one unless there isn’t any other way, and no it’s not the nicest looking cab is it ?

I'm surprised at you Rob not complaining a bout the breakfast!,£12 for a single small breakfast and tea is terrible my local factory site cafe is £8.50 for a large one with tea a toast,but onto the main subject yor van is now valueless with no warranty,its now worth scrapp value only but as a Faithfull follower I will give you £500.for it And take a chance❤😂😂😂😂but the advice you gave is spot on well done rob❤

If you. have an extended water ingress warranty are you not obliged to have it serviced each year with the dealership to get them to inspect the van and stamp your service book?
Yes we will be taking it back for the hab check every year but not for repairs
Hi guys another great video, I think you are right with your van we have a 1year old Rollerteam and we been waiting for warranty work to be done, our problem has been waiting for parts coming from Italy, we been told all parts our here now work but can’t be done until end of January 2024. All problems are silly thing northing major.

Thanks for your the reply guys, full understand them sorting the van asap but they need it for a full week and we are still using it over the winter, love the winter van life. It may be good for you guys to do a winter van life video showing what tips you have for winter site stays, all the best Phil
A piece of advice from someone that’s owned many rvs here in the states if you have something try to repair it yourself if it’s out of warranty and if you’re not able then to locate a mobile rv repair service that will come out to your house and make the complicated repairs and I would suggest calling around soon to speak to them about there hourly rates and how they charge for travel that’s how I handled all non warranty work and it was a lot cheaper and less time consuming just a thought

I spoke to a dealer at the show, and he said Bailey and Swift are British and crap. That warranty list is appalling, as you say these things cost life changing money.

Do you leave your power on when it's in storage? (We normally do to keep the tracker etc going) but our batteries went flat and we had to bring them home to charge (thank god they charged cos it would have been expensive)
Hi we never leave our power banks in the van in storage our van cannot be stolen where it is kept it’s impossible 👍
@RobandLynnontour we don't have a power bank (I'd love one) no I mean your mains electric sargent unit (the one they just replaced)😉
Oh sorry yes I purposely turn ours on when putting it in storage always have done but obviously make sure everything is turned off it doesn’t matter about leaving a light on or something like that the solar will cope no problem

My Swift Bessacarr Hi-Style 599 2018 with 12500 miles is absolutely perfect apart from me driving away without closing the large sunroof. I picked up the bits & now waiting for replacement £1800 supply only as company are too busy until February to fit. I can do it with my friends help 👍🏻
Hi that’s a easy mistake to make leaving the sunroof open it happens to many of us 👍

Yeah I agree Rob with every van will require warranty work and fortunately I got mine from a dealer 15 mins away, which means I don’t have to take days off to drop it off just half an hour. I take it your self employed then ?

I would never buy Swift again I spent £87500 on a Kon tiki 699 had nothing but trouble with the coach built part not the fiat side. Sold it as a loss with 1,000 miles on it.

@@RobandLynnontour yes but it was on going I was at the dealership more than going anywhere. Swifts internal doors are like egg box cardboard construction for ever warping. Kitchen rotted away, all the sealant externally had to be redone mice got in as a hole was left in the garage area. Fridge went wrong, microwave failed, habitation door use to
Lock me out on the central locking that went on for months and the door dropped had lots of new internal doors including the bathroom door. I got locked out in my dressing gown once at night lucky I was outside with my dog or he would have been locked in there until the next day when I
Had to
Pay for a locksmith to come and make a key to get in. Never again Swift for me!
