- This video shows how I built a Delta Loop Ham Radio Antenna. I really enjoy building different types of antennas for POTA and home use. Grab a notebook and follow along with building my first Delta Loop Ham Radio Antenna.

I really have been wanting to use a Delta loop for POTA. I need to get on to building one. Thanks for the setup vid!
Please turn into my video on Friday, Sept 6, 2024, to see how the delta loop performs. Thanks for watching. 73s
You should use a 4:1 current balun and feed at a corner. Perimeter on lowest band is approximately 1005/f(mhz). Resonance will be lower than your cut if wire is insulated due to velocity factor. If you feed in middle if a leg, impedance will be about 100 ohm and require a 2:1 unun.
Thank you for this tip. I will have to order a Balun. I have a 9:1 and a 4:1 Unun now. Thanks for watching. 73s
@@MyHamRadioJourneyvoltage 4:1 will work. Put choke on coax near unun.
40-10m one I'm prototyping has about 140 feet of wire. Took names with it on FD.
I had that fishing pole, nice and cheap but be careful because if you tweak it wrong it will basically crumble (DAMHIK) :(
I also bought a DX commander 36’ mast. The fishing pole works for now. Thanks for the tip. Thanks for watching. 73s
