  • We got so many questions from viewers and Rock Hounds on our first Rose Quartz expedition episode about "What do you do with Rose Quartz gemstones?" so, we decided to make a video about it!
(If you missed our first episode, check it out here: • Rose Quartz Crystals R... )
In this episode, one of our long-term friends, and incredible jewelry designer Bunny Bedi, tells us what he loves about Rose Quartz and how he showcases each crystal stone in his gemstone jewellery gallery, Made in Earth. We also get to meet Summer, from McSprituality Healing, a multi-modality spiritual healer, who shares the benefits of Rose Quartz and crystals in her healing practices.
There's also a guest appearance by the legend that is 'Mama Sox', the matriarch of our family who has spent a lifetime out in our mines and in our warehouse making sure all our customers are well taken care of. She's a gemstone oracle and knows more about this industry than just about anybody we know!
    CHAPTERS:
00:00 - Rock Hounds Gemstone Workshop
00:32 - Cutting & Polishing Rose Quartz Crystal

Lovely, such good color. I watched a load of Liz Kreate vids, her and Wal fossicking old spills, all over Aus, such beautiful minerals there. I'm in NZ, not much going on here.
An old school teacher knew of one river in Coromandel, he'd take maybe 12 teens in and do some panning, they'd get a few crystals.

The Rose Quartz is definitely special in its colour! It's interesting to hear about your old school teacher's adventures in Coromandel, NZ, with the students. Even though New Zealand might seem quieter on that front compared to Australia's vast mineral fields, there's still something special about the connection to the land you can experience through panning and finding those few precious crystals. It's those small discoveries that often spark a lifelong interest in geology and the natural world. Who knows, maybe there are still untapped spots in NZ waiting to be explored!

I actualy have a claim with pink cats eye iolite, its doubly refractive and harder than rose quartz and is great for jewlery.

Shame you feel the need to promote crystal power nonsense. You must cringe a little, talking about magical energy, but a buck is a buck, eh?

    • @aussierockhounds

The holistic and metaphysical side of the industry has been a practice involving cultures from all over the globe for 10,000 years and is a testament to its attraction and appeal to many that believe or are looking to some kind of faith to guide them. If someone is drawn to a particular stone, whether it be colour or pattern and gain a strength that is either coincidental or as a result of deeper connection to Mother Earth then its a power that can be harnessed and utilised for one's self benefit.
As a rugged Australian miner I appreciate Mother Earth’s treasures, and the draw I personally get from working with this beautiful rose quartz has a way to ground me to the earth and brings an inner peace, allowing me to push through remarkably harsh conditions and stressful situations to bring material to the market regardless of monetary gain.
The beauty of this world is we have free will and have the choice to decide if we want to believe or not, if you cringed I’m genuinely sorry you felt this way.
