The double struck coin is the find of a lifetime. Congratulations, Rich! And kudos to you, Jason for immediately recognizing it! Your wealth of knowledge always impresses me.
I've seen enough of your videos to know the financial reward isn't what's important to you, but I'd bet it sure feels good to check both boxes off! Congratulations to Rich on a stellar find and to you Jason for consistently having the best metal detecting channel on the platform!
So incredible!! Blown away with Rich’s find! And the way it unfolded in your mind on camera - that OOOHHH was so genuine, I was excited for both of you. Congratulations Rich!
What excellent hunt you all had, all those cool finds, the counterfeit large cent, and Rich's double struck classic head large cent. Can't wait to see your next hunt.
Damn! I remember the episode where you met Rich. He must have been born with a horseshoe and a four leaved clover in his diaper ;-) But I know he works for it. A counterfeit and a die error in the same day???
The coins were popping everywhere, another fantastic site! The double struck Classic Head- never seen one in person, even at a coin show, nevermind coming out of the ground. Epic find- Congrats Rich and great vid all!
You described the double-strike as appearing in the upper corner of a coin that is a circle. I'm still looking for the corner of a circle and it's driving me crazy.
Old and an error coin! A counterfeit coin too!😮 Some counterfeit coins are worth more than their genuine counterpart. Usually due to their historical background.
Awesome Hunt everyone. Rich the Double Struck Copper Congrats. So cool to see one. Congrats on the IHPs and Coers everyone. Love the play Money Jason. Rich was the piece you found an Earring. Kinda looked like it to me. Love it. Take Care everyone.
Your videos are the best and when you add in once of a lifetime finds, all bets are off!! Congratulations, Rich, and to Jason, thanks for passing on all your knowledge, even if you don't know there are no corners in a circle (wink wink).
Excellent finds today. Especially Rich… all those coins and that double-struck was amazing. I think you guys should get Jason some of those glasses for the color-blind so he can see what a green coin looks like. 😀😀
Error coins are sometime very valuable. Example 1955 S, D, Plain double strike. Got five sitting in from of me right now!!!! Error paper dollars with the "Star" with low serial numbers are also. Having the error dollar and the star bill with the same serial number is very very rare. That makes up for breaking the shovel Rich!!!
Congratulations to Rich on that amazing mint error coin! That's rare as a hen's tooth, as they say! Also, for Jason, just want to say, congratulations with the success of your channel! As you know, I've watched for a very long time now and have seen you build up your channel and build a great community here, and I just wanted to recognize that. (I'd still love to meet you at an event or even get a hunt in with you guys. Maybe someday 🤷♂️) So congratulations and keep up the good work!
Thank you and I’m surprised all these years we haven’t gotten together yet. This fall we’ll make sure to hunt some farm fields together. Just don’t be surprised if Rich finds the lions share! lol
@@QuarterHoarder Lol..yeah, Rich seems to have all the luck..lol. I would definitely be interested in getting together later this fall and doing some hunting with all of you. We'll have to make that happen! Keep swinging, good luck on the next hunt! 👍😎
Rich, it was difficult to tell, but that indian cent looked strange. Was the positioning off or something? Hi guys, thankyou for the video.Have been very sick.More surgery in 3 wks. What can you do?😊
Re: counterfeit penny. A penny was much more significant back then; besides, who examines a penny? There was the case of the "Wahshington Dollar. " Counterfeited in an apartment as needed, very bad workmanship, including the misspelling. Went undetected for years, and drove the Feds crazy. Eventually the scam was only revealed by a fire in the neighboring apartment. And in the 1930s, my father took a suspicious fifty-cent piece to the bank. The teller quickly took a hammer and broke it into two pieces, which I still have.
At first I thought you were insinuating the counterfeit large cent was your thousand dollar coin and I thought you were over embellishing. Then I saw the double stamped large cent and now I think you're under-embellishing! I've seen a few examples come up for auction every now and then and those are rarer than a 3 legged kangaroo!
First and foremost Way To Go Rich! Doug must not have been nearby when the question was asked because I'm pretty sure he'd know the answer. In 1972 a Palestinian group took the Israeli wrestling team hostage, and there was a bloodbath in Munich. In 1980 the United States boycotted the Olympics because they were in Moscow. We were sending the Russians a message that they were wrong for invading a country called Afghanistan. I remember both.
My Uncle is a lifelong coin collector and he said that Double Struck Classic Head would sell for around $2,500! That's worth more than gold!!!!!!

Thanks Angela. Rich has found more bucket list items in the last two years than most people find in a lifetime!
@@divinepainter Thanks you! It was an awesome surprise for sure

In the excitement of the moment sometimes my brain shuts down.
@@QuarterHoarder Waiting for my brain to turn on.
You can’t always trust your earballs, you gotta look at that circle from all angles.
I can't even find my brain
Another great episode this week guys. Digging up and preserving history.
Dougie and his shirts.. 😆 Cracks me up EVERY time.

Thanks! The flashlights are called the perun 2, by olight. I think they stopped making them, but last i looked you could find some on amazon or ebay.
@@RichVanWinkle37 Thanks Rich. You are the Man!!! 👍
Always waiting on new videos!!
Great video too
wow Congrats fellas!
That classic head Large Cent was awesome
Those tokens are really cool
Rich's coin looks like a large early American zinc penny, lol... The way it's crumbling around the edges.

Finding a double struck coin in circulation is hard enough, that is a once in a lifetime find how cool.
So cool awesome
Hey guys. I found an 1810 double struck large cent about a year ago. Difficult to find out any information on it. Congratulations.
Interesting about Patrick Swasey , you have to be very old I guess, I remember those
I like how rich gets really excited when he finds somthing good lol.
Quarter Hoarder FTW 🤘👍
Hello get that pewter Large cent checked out could be a pattern coin
Nice double strick
Doug's ring find actually looks to be an old clip earring.
Hello Quarter Hoarder,DogTag Doug,Charlie and and Rich
Rich van winqle should video one day and you could dig😮
Congrats Rich, and you didn’t knick it!
👍👍
Rich, it was difficult to tell, but that indian cent looked strange. Was the positioning off or something? Hi guys, thankyou for the video.Have been very sick.More surgery in 3 wks. What can you do?😊
I stand corrected! I thought I had read years ago, John Cameron Swazye and Patrick Swazye were father and son. Thanks for fact checking me!
Treasure hunters overuse the adjective "old" too much when describing their finds. Ever notice that?
I'm not sure if everyone sees a bit blurry screen, but mine is. Nice digs fellows

The double strike is cool. My buddy found a Fujio double strike and you could see mind your business twice on it.
Oh wow, that makes me jealous. We’ve yet to find any Fugio at all.
Hello 🙏🙏🙏🏅
Perhaps, it's the right time period, it's a hard times token. Some were made of materials other than copper.
“Richard Found One”!
John Cameron Swayze and Patrick Swayze are 6th cousins according to Wikipedia. Nice hunt.
I stand and sit, corrected!
Patrick and John C Swayze were 6th cousins once removed.
Im 9 1/2 too!! Wink wink! Just kidding!!
Falsa Pecunia translates to False Money. First time seeing play money with a latin motto. Rich is killing it!
Your "kids ring" is a clip on earring missing the hinge. My mom left me pounds of clip and screw back earrings.
that coin may have dye it special and worth a lot of money.
I have found them in lead and there were tokens made of cheaper metal

'72 Olympics were in Munich.
Thank you. I need to brush up on my Olympic history.
Never thought that would come up. I worked on the stadium for nearly two years, great job..HH
Snoop Doggy Doug and his weird trivia... Patrick Swayze's dad. Wasn't Timex Fred. Olsens American venture? The guy behind Fred. Olsen Lines shipping?
I corrected my misnomer. Thanks for the fact check.
31st like, happy tuesday, Quarter hoarder
The first American coins were made from pewter I thought
That's an auction coin. $$$$
Falsa Penguina (sp?) Pengunia?
👋❤️🙏
As a coin collector, I cringe when I see you use a stiff brush to clean dirt off of a coin.
