I haven't got around to this one yet, but the Double Dragon & Kunio-kun collection is ideal for anyone who wants to get into this series. It has official English translations of all of the Famicom games 👌
Yup, it's really great that they're bringing all of those games to the Western audience these days; the entire Jajamaru collection, Kunio-kun collection and many others... just plain awesome!
Yup, this one's a lot of fun. Kunio-kun games in general are some of my favourite sports games on the system, and of course then there are the action games... too bad we didn't get it way back when. I'd also assume that this isn't an especially rare game?
Is not a rare game at all. The one that is rare and expensive, it’s the basketball game and maybe the bikkuri Nekketsu as second. The most common is the first football game. I have them all with boxes and manuals, with exception of the basketball game on which I only have the cartridge.
This game is a lot of fun, even without understanding japanese. I urge anyone who loved River City Ransom to give it a try. One technical thing that I feel will get overlooked are the slopes in the game. That's a LOT of tiles to dedicate to just different variations in slope height. Not bad for a 2 megabit MMC3 game with lots of text.
I've held off on this one, wanted to do it, but the language barrier seemed a bit much at my current rusty as ever level. Don't really want to use a flash kit/rom solution either. Maybe a translated cart?

A top beat 'em up game, that's for sure!

I also rate this on the GameBoy port which I think is a blast.
The pre-patched fanlation is called "Technos Samurai - Downtown Special!".
I kind of like that as a way to simplify that title.
oh wow! I don't recall if this is on the Kunio/DD collection but I think I'm going to have to check!

This one has been remade for the 3DS. I have it but still not playing it, need to change that soon.
