How to Check Your Internet SPEED

Checking your internet speed is really easy with free tools available online. My favorite tool is called speedtest.net. I also use the Xfinity speed test and Google speed test from time to time.
After checking your internet speed, you can troubleshoot to improve it if you think it's lower than it should be.

They're 2 different things. The download speed is how fast you can download stuff from the internet. Upload is the opposite; how fast you can upload stuff from your device to the internet. For most average use cases, a higher download speed is best since most people download more often than they upload. However, if you regularly upload large files, like videos, pictures, etc having a high upload speed is beneficial. Unfortunately, most internet providers prioritize high download speeds over upload speeds, which is why your upload speed is almost always significantly slower than download. Fiber internet providers usually have symmetrical speeds.
On a final note, latency (ping) is also important. Unlike most other things, lower is better when it comes to ping time. In short, ping time is the amount of time it takes for a packet of data to go from your computer to the destination server and then back to your PC. This is measured in milliseconds. This is important in things like online gaming and voice/video chat. The lower the ping time, the better the game/call quality.

😂 Use OptiFine, don’t use too strong shaders (if you are using it) Don’t place to many frames in your world.. the take a lot too load same as lava and placing man tnt could crash your minecraft launcher. The more hotter your pc is the less it works.
