This video is completely BS… DNS has NOTHING NOTHING to do with download speed… Only access speed can increase. But he is “proving” that the download speed is increasing. BS!! When starting a download, ONLY at the first moment to resolve the domain, the DNS is being used. After that 0 times again during the WHOLE download process. So… no! it wont make your wifi faster nor the wired connection. But it can only feel like it is faster coz the resolving time of a domain can be faster or slower by DNS, but NEVER the download speed!!
I would also suggest if your computers are older, make sure your router and wifi cards are up to the latest wifi spec. I didn’t realize I was still running 802.11G and N chipsets on my two PCs. After upgrading router and wifi cards to 802.11ax I went from 9Mbps on G and 90Mbps on N to 234Mbps for both on a 200 Mbps plan 👍🏻
Liron, it actually did improve my network speeds. The ping on my laptop WiFi was about 16ms. Now it is stable 3 or 4ms. And couple of mbps of speed increase in download speeds. I believe that those who have 30mbps and more will notice, not sure for those who have less
Best thing you can do. Config a static wifi channel with the most less overlapping in channels in the area. Config the preamble. Config the legacy traffic options, some may consume more cpu processing, and dont need that kind of option in this day of topology. This besides the DNS makes it alot more comfy for your router. As far as you may have them in the config, if you have your own router. However i would prefer my own gateway DNS.

Fact about internet: Your internet basically is fast yeah yeah But if a lot of users are using it it will divide its wifi speed for each user for example there are 5 users and you have 50Mbps internet speed then it will become 10Mbps for per user But if you are the only one using it then happy surfing the internet

Pretty much what I said. By using their dns you get content filtering which means better protection for your network (and family) and there is no speed degradation
you can give your ISP more money with pleasure. I like to get what I pay for. So if I am going to the shops and buy 10 items, I want to go home with 10 items - not 1. If I am paying for 100Mbps, I want to get that not 3 and certainly not give them more money to "upgrade".

I too remember being so happy every time I got a new modem. Those were the days. Compuserve for me too. I do remember explaining to my mom how the dsl connection was going to work. No more dialup. She eventually made the move to fibre. (As did I).
Thanks this was an awesome setting I was using the regular setting from this same design provider. I changed this setting and I got a tremendous jump in my speed test. Now let's see how my gaming goes and I can get more test on my network.
