I'd agree if we could add Josh on a cajon making amazing faces. But on the album when he says "pay no attention toooooo this iron, this iron fist" is way more satisfying to hear :p
You probably dont give a shit but if you are stoned like me atm then you can stream pretty much all the latest series on instaflixxer. I've been watching with my gf recently =)
Found this back in 2014 while writing an essay in business school. I was in the heart of Melbourne, Victoria in a damn near abandoned computer lab. I distinctly remember the smell of the room and just thoroughly enjoying this session. It's awesome reflecting on this. Business school sucked, but what a journey it's been. Thanks Coheed for being part of it!
I'll never forget when they came to the Filmore. It was my first concert let alone my first concert with my absolute favorite band. When this song played my buddy and I cried so hard we didn't expect it, it was absolutely beautiful. I miss those simple times, faded in the warm winds of the past
This acoustic set is, yet once again, a proof of Coheed's amazing talent. How they can get you from rocking and screaming to chill and relax on the same album is unbelievable. Thanks for all guys!
Thank you! I really don't understand how anyone could ever bag on this wonderful band. Their songs tell an epic story, and with every album it just builds onto the amazingness that is the Heaven's Fence universe.
Gosh, this reminds me so much of stuff from SSTB, in all the right ways. Hope this makes it on to The Afterman. Coheed songs have such a magical way of being relate-able even though they're talking about robots, distant planets, evil armies, and genetically altered super-humans. Love it.
I lolled so hard I snorted when I read this =D for real...but than again I still may not fully understand this comment....cuz lets be real we all want this to be the original =D
I love them both for different reasons. I think this is beautiful, but ultimately, the one on the album fits within the context of the rest of the songs better
I have this song on repeat. If the songs on their new album are anything like this one.. This will be one hell of an album! Love Co&Ca One Among The Fence.
Descension version is incredible. This is also incredible. I love their acoustic/demo versions because it's a different side of the same coin. Double the listening pleasure!
I love what they did with the studio version. So very different to what I expected, and very Coheed. Anyone who prefers this version will be happy to know that with the Deluxe version there's 'Iron Fist: Acoustic Stripped Demo' which you could put in the studio version's place on the album.
holy shit the acoustic version is amazing Claudio delivers.... one of my faves on Descension. what a great double album story these guys have made. guys sit back you are witnessing one of the most progressive bands in a long time. Coheed never fails. its all about chasing new sounds and ideas but having the spirit of the band. so far they have not let me down. coheed4life.
what i like about claudio is he literally saying the word CURSED!.. that's one of his uniqueness... it's like you're pulling it out of your mouth from your emotions man!..
Yes, and their new album is supposed to come out this year, in the spring. So, very soon. Check out the demo for a song from the album, Sentry the Defiant.
I can't even imagine how amazing this is going to sound in the non-acoustic version. Whatever they do to this song, they absolutely MUST do an acoustic version on their album as well.
This is very true, I have pre-ordered the last 2 albums and my order is in for the next. But I have found it fairly impossible to find some of their rare stuff on sale so certain avenues need to be taken to obtain these tracks. As for my previous comment though I have the link for this song bookmarked on my phone, so at pretty much anytime I want to hear it I can just open it up and plug into the headphones.
If this song ends up NOT on their next album, I will accept NOTHING less than magic to make up for it. I mean meteor showers over my house EVERY time I play that album.
Claudio's voice keeps sounding better and better, I'm actually finding myself liking a lot of the unplugged song versions more than the album ones. Also, anyone else hear the phone ring at 2:12?
10 years on, still brings the tears. Shout out if you still here after 10 years ;D
Live strong🤝
Will always be here!
Checkin' in! This one is still fantastic!
🤙
❤❤❤
The world seems a wee bit more magical with this song playing.
Back after 8 years and this song still smokes!
This version is just so much better than the studio version.
Agreed, I feel like something was lost in the studio recording. There's something about the rawness of it here.
I'd agree if we could add Josh on a cajon making amazing faces. But on the album when he says "pay no attention toooooo this iron, this iron fist" is way more satisfying to hear :p
I have to agree, but I miss that Travis "papa para" backing vocal at the end
I agree I always loved this version more
This performance is great indeed..but the brooklyn sstb concert version is more powerful, imo. Claudio's outro vocals is magical.
this acoustic set is what got me through 2012
Yes Sir
Me too. So much
checkin' in on you in 2020 bro u ok?
You probably dont give a shit but if you are stoned like me atm then you can stream pretty much all the latest series on instaflixxer. I've been watching with my gf recently =)
@Kamari Marley Definitely, been watching on instaflixxer for months myself =)
One of my favorite live coheed moments is when they played this song acoustic during the second stage turbine neverender tour. And Pearl of the Stars.
logan osborn oof pearl of the star
Was in Austin for that tour. Amazing
I may be crazy... but I feel it is one of Coheed's best songs... I say this after hearing it literally three times.
That last minute or so of the video has to be the greatest minute of recording ever created, let alone on RUclips
This is what music is all about. I wish this band nothing but the best in the world.
I've listened to this song like 12 times in a row now... Claudio, you amaze my balls every time!
Thanks Coheed for being part of it!
havent had goosebumps in a while, thanx Claudio and Travis i needed a reminder of how awesome ur band is.
September 2022 still go hard!
I'll never forget when they came to the Filmore. It was my first concert let alone my first concert with my absolute favorite band. When this song played my buddy and I cried so hard we didn't expect it, it was absolutely beautiful. I miss those simple times, faded in the warm winds of the past
Faded in the warm winds of the past.. beautiful phrase my friend
The emotion and passion in his singing, especially live, is just incredible!
I swear this song will never get old! I love it!!!!!!
Can't believe how fast 4 years goes by
+Aaron T So true
It's 6 years now
Reading this comment for the first time four years later.
And 4 months later
And another 4 months passed. Still perfection 😙👌
This acoustic set is, yet once again, a proof of Coheed's amazing talent. How they can get you from rocking and screaming to chill and relax on the same album is unbelievable. Thanks for all guys!
I literally listen to this song 111 times a day
C&C will always be a part of my life
And my son is 9 😀 way before he was born he would listen 😊
My daughters name is Kambria!
@@tracihowey3685 thats awesome. Based on Coheed or ,? A weird coincidence
One of my favorite acoustic sets ever his voice is surreal and intoxicating. Hopefully they will come to Houston this year
Thank you! I really don't understand how anyone could ever bag on this wonderful band. Their songs tell an epic story, and with every album it just builds onto the amazingness that is the Heaven's Fence universe.
Gives me constant goosebumps all over my body. Shockingly good.
Gosh, this reminds me so much of stuff from SSTB, in all the right ways. Hope this makes it on to The Afterman. Coheed songs have such a magical way of being relate-able even though they're talking about robots, distant planets, evil armies, and genetically altered super-humans. Love it.
Iimagine my surprise when I'm watching Motörhead cover versions of their song Iron Fist on youtube and find this....
I lolled so hard I snorted when I read this =D for real...but than again I still may not fully understand this comment....cuz lets be real we all want this to be the original =D
Lol you ended up in a better place :p
this is absolutely the most beautiful song ive ever heard
The end blows my mind every time.
Im not exactly what you would call an emotional person but i cant listen to this song without having a tear come to my eye. Its so buetiful
Man I love how good of a recording this is, I can hear every note, every overtone everything resonant vibration.
still jamming this in 2019! going into 2020
2020 the worst
see you guys in Reno
Can't hardly wait...6 years is a long time
i think this may just be my favorite coheed song, its incredible how this band improve all the time!
Great song! Great band! Can't wait to see them for the 5th time this summer!
Damn! God ! This is so funking stellar
Holy fuck this is too good. Can't believe I'm just now discovering some of C&C's stuff...better late then never I guess.
gunther141 welcome to the keywork my friend

João Gabriel Silva de Avellar welcome to the fence brotha
wow you fucking normie, you're not allowed to listen to my music get out
I got the double deluxe version, so i get a copy of Iron Fist stripped down to the acoustic version. So excited!
never heard this until yesterday, I'm completely in love.
Coheed and Cambria, you're the best
Claudio’s vocals always blow me away in this performance. So damn good
this song is sooo beautiful!
I bought the album from Best Buy and it came with three bonus songs, in which song 10 being the Iron Fist acoustic. Can't stop listening to it! :]
"I don't want to lose your hold on me"
Pure genius.
I love how he sings with such feeling!!!
creatively honest music like this...must be shared with the world.
I was there for this, such an incredible experience
Greatest voice, greatest music, best band to walk the Earth.
This version is far better than what ultimately ended up on Afterman: Descension!
agreed
I have to disagree on that one.
David Adams agreeeed
Truth
I love them both for different reasons. I think this is beautiful, but ultimately, the one on the album fits within the context of the rest of the songs better
I have this song on repeat. If the songs on their new album are anything like this one.. This will be one hell of an album! Love Co&Ca One Among The Fence.
Amazing. I honestly cannot wait to see them on the 19th...
Love Claudio's voice towards the end. Chills
Descension version is incredible. This is also incredible. I love their acoustic/demo versions because it's a different side of the same coin. Double the listening pleasure!
I love what they did with the studio version.
So very different to what I expected, and very Coheed.
Anyone who prefers this version will be happy to know that with the Deluxe version there's 'Iron Fist: Acoustic Stripped Demo' which you could put in the studio version's place on the album.
one of my fav songs and recordings!
I heard! I'm just glad it's on the record, fricken love this song.
Its kinda crazy this song existed all the way back in January of 2011
Two words. God damn.
More words:
Claudio's emotions have always shown through the music, but this is just pure vulnerability. And I fucking LOVE it.
holy shit the acoustic version is amazing Claudio delivers.... one of my faves on Descension. what a great double album story these guys have made. guys sit back you are witnessing one of the most progressive bands in a long time. Coheed never fails. its all about chasing new sounds and ideas but having the spirit of the band. so far they have not let me down. coheed4life.
THANK YOU TAYLOR GUITARS.
what i like about claudio is he literally saying the word CURSED!.. that's one of his uniqueness... it's like you're pulling it out of your mouth from your emotions man!..
Still one of my most favorite songs ever!!!
Coheed fans are the most dedicated of any fan ever. And we have every damned reason to be!
Just... Just beautiful.
this is just extraordinary. good lord
Im so glad i found out about coheed and cambria :)
Yes, and their new album is supposed to come out this year, in the spring. So, very soon. Check out the demo for a song from the album, Sentry the Defiant.
At the end all I could say was... wow.
@coheetalica that is a Taylor 12-fret guitar with slot head tuners. Steel strings.
@ 4:50 that is just magic, and I tear up every time, Claudio's emotion is palpable.
Es espectacular, el talento es increíble, Coheed seguirá siendo una increíble banda, y será una leyenda para la eternidad
I listen every day, and I still think my phone is ringing around 2:10
how did that sound get in an otherwise pristine recording?? ;-;
Gosh darn I really love these guys.
I wish they would do an acoustic tour like The Academy Is... did and come to Memphis. it would be so awesome
During SSTB Neverender tour, the first third of the show was all acoustic sets.
God damn!! That is about all I can say about this incredible performance!
They did indeed play this at the KC SSTB show. It sounds GREAT with the full band.
I prefer the acoustic demo version, and then album version... But this is so calm, it's beautiful too :]
this is amazing this is better than when i saw him play wake up live ...
Hope they play this when I see them in February at 9:30 in DC
I REALLY hope this is a staple of the SSTB shows!
I can't even imagine how amazing this is going to sound in the non-acoustic version. Whatever they do to this song, they absolutely MUST do an acoustic version on their album as well.
@AnythingButDreamless no one has any reason TO dislike this
his voice is so sweet...
I wish someone could release a high quality recording of this whole performance
Goddamnit Claudios voice gives me shivers! It's beautiful!
I believe this and Sentry will be on Afterman: Descension.
GOd i loved this..
After he did his epic little solo rift there, did anyone else think the Ba-da-da-dop-ba-da-da-da-daoao while he was singing lol
Can't wait to hear the studio version of this on Afterman: Decension. Can't imagine it getting any better than this version though.
It'll be epic and huge. Belting out "GOD DAMN THIS IRON FIRST!"
Beautiful! Love Coheed!
After 10years im still here💀👌🙏
This is very true, I have pre-ordered the last 2 albums and my order is in for the next. But I have found it fairly impossible to find some of their rare stuff on sale so certain avenues need to be taken to obtain these tracks. As for my previous comment though I have the link for this song bookmarked on my phone, so at pretty much anytime I want to hear it I can just open it up and plug into the headphones.
what a magical performance.. true children of the fence
Totally in love.
If this song ends up NOT on their next album, I will accept NOTHING less than magic to make up for it. I mean meteor showers over my house EVERY time I play that album.

This song is so damn beautiful!!!
So much memories. :(

So very true. This music is sheer art.
both are really good guitarist!
Claudio's voice keeps sounding better and better, I'm actually finding myself liking a lot of the unplugged song versions more than the album ones. Also, anyone else hear the phone ring at 2:12?
Probably started getting better when he stopped smoking.
Rudra Chakraborty I agree!! seems more passionate
Rudra Chakraborty oh ya
So much passion
