Coheed and Cambria performed an intimate set of acoustic tunes at the Taylor Guitars booth during the 2011 NAMM show.

As many times as he's performed this song, he still tears up. I have such a high amount of respect for Claudio. He's really passionate with his music, and its amazing.

God, this song is fucking amazing. I just revisited this album and its so underappreciated. Despite people saying the mixing is bad I love this album and every song is amazing.

When I first saw this video years ago I at first thought that that was a single tear running down claudios face. Thinking this made me fall in love with the song even more because of the emotional ties i have with it. Deep down I felt this wasnt probable, that it was most likely just sweat, but still I clutched on to the possibility that he was in fact crying. When you hear him say the word "drown" it sounds as if hes choked up, like hes got a "frog" in his throat. Makes me wonder. Haha...I still like to think his own words in song brought him to tears. This song is touching and beautiful. I can only hope to achieve such an experience with my own music.
Jared Oliphant it is an actual tear. the real meaning behind the song is about Claudio's Aunt that died from health issues. this performance was very close to when the the album released and his aunts passing.
Yeah i have to agree with the previous response claudio has all of his life tied into his music and his comic boom no matter how many people try to argue it he stated it numerous times. A little food for thought over the past decade ive seen them 10 times and about half of those i was front two rows this is the only time ive ever seen claudio like this on stage. And yes that is a tear use a big screen and when you think you see it the very first time freeze frame. I was hurting so much because i wondered the same thing add that in with his arm tattoo..... it says on a tombstone......"everything was beautiful and nothing hurt"......

Mic's tone is perfect here. The ideal bass sound for an acoustic performance, I think.

i love Coheed and Cambria soooooo much. ahh i cant believe i just teard up a little watching this. But of course I did when I saw them live for the first time. Uh Cladio is so amazing. Man these guys are an absolute dream. The Amory Wars are perfect, when sometimes you just need to get lost for a little while of the wars in space, the adventures of The Keywork, and the chaoticness of the rising of Wilhiem Ryan......

I'm glad to know that Coheed shall always be the best band out there. You don't find an awesome rock band that's emotional and god-like when they play acoustically. I'm forever Coheed!
If you didn't notice, his voice also cracks up at the same time, it's most definitely a tear.
I did not think I could have any more respect for that man than I already do but he continues to inspire and amaze me, I'm thankful I had the chance to meet him.

Whenever I start to drift away from Coheed and haven't listened that much to them in a while I for some reason find this video again and it reminds me why they are my favourite band. Awesome performance.

His voice is just touching, when he sings its like he hits you in the heart man, you understand everything and noticing that tear shows his emotions coming out for the things he loves his music. Claudio is a very devoted Musician man I wish I could just sleep on his puffy hair so I could hear him sing all the time Lol.

Just read the chapter where the prise, Ambellina or Paranoia I assume, came to Leonard while he was sitting at his son's grave and gave him the idea to create the KBI. What he said to Pearl made me teary eyed, and this song is making it worse. So fucking beautiful. I wish I could care for someone as much as Leonard loves Pearl.

Claudio Sanchez is fucking amazing. There are tons of people that do not like his voice but not only is the voice unique but there aren't ANY other band that are as well known as them that sound like Coheed in my opinon. This song is beautiful and Taylor Guitars kick ass. I wish I owned one.

He writes the comic books from personal experience, he even said on the neverender tour that justice in murder was the hardest song to play live because of what it was about etc.

For everyone arguing about the liquid flowing from his EYE at 1:58, it is a tear. Look at his forehead. There is little to no sweat on his forehead, and I was not aware that eyeballs could sweat.

if you really wanna understand the band man check out the story it is written around. it will literally blow your mind the first time you listen to a song and hear the story claudio is telling you with his music. if you loved welcome home it is about a character( no spoilers) killing his girlfriend in a psychotic break.

The song is about Pearl Hohenberger from the view of Leonard Hohenberger, the song follows the comic (or the novel) but not too sure where this part comes from. Look up the novel, "Year of the Black Rainbow", it's an amazing read that follows the whole album. This song is told after Pearl dies.
