Finally some clarity on this units compatibility. So as a recent DJI RS3 Pro purchaser, you can simply purchase this new Focus Pro system and have the updated/improved lidar autofocus feature?
Is it possible to switch between 2 or 3 motors with the sidehandle by pushing just one button? For example: I pull focus, push one button and then I can control the dedicated zoom motor? Thank you for your video by the way 😊
This system looks incredible. I might have to save up to finally replace my little Smallrig follow focus system. DJI is truly innovating this industry.
Nice review 👍🏻 I saw you had a rubber band holding the nucleus-m motors to the lens & is the reason I stopped using it all together. I could never get the motors to hold the grip onto the gears firmly enough once I went into run-n-gun mode. Do you have the same/similar problem with these new DJI motors & can you tell me about your experience with it for handheld use?
Thank you, the locks on the motors seem very good, but again they're powerful motors so it depends if it'll hold it or no. I guess the rubber band is more of a safety thing to make sure they don't move. But they're good without it
good morning, I ask you a kindness when you hooked the DJ Focus Pro to the lens, the long one, how did you fix it on the lens itself? What is the name of that bracket can you give me link thank you very much
if you have connection behind a building means nothing for a focus puller. he/she has to see the actor/action plus the monitor may not have signal either so what's your point.
Thats not exactly the case. If you use the dji transmitter then your first AC can easily stay back and still have no problem pulling focus. The purpose of this is to test the range, whether youll use that or not thats up to you
So you don't need to put the lidar unit as close to the middle and end of the lens as possible? I was under the impression that it works best when centered above the lens and as far forward as possible...
Hi, i'll buy The Laowa Ranger 28-75mm pretty soon, since it's not in the lens compatibility chart in the focus pro app, did you have problems calibrating, if not, did you calibrate like it was a 28mm or 75mm? Thx!
You can set hard stops thru the handle but the motor itself its a wheel, it can calibrate your lens and create its own stops, unless ofc you're using regular photo lens then you need to set your own stops
You opened up a case with three motors, which is a bundle they should have offered..with 3 motors.. Camera rigging mods has a great set up for lidar using the counterbalance weight connector to your lws base plate. Just need to reverse the arm on lidar and it will shoot lasers under your Matt box, and doesn’t really ever need to be adjusted
Nucleus m handle, with the toggle and wheel you can focus, and zoom adjust with one hand while running. Focus pro is a crippled system for the single operator, running.
Cam was right
at 1:47 I was like what did I press wrong lmao, good one there!
You are killing it. Thank you 🙏

Great work

That's something I believe I said in the video also, currently nothing available for a shortcut switch.

Odd question: would the new Focus Pro LiDAR system plug and play with TILTA’s most recent Nucleus Nano II motor? Those are USB C also.

Cam was right!
Do the motors have adjustable heights to ensure proper placement on the side of the lens?
No but it does have a seperate rod holder that you can attach it on the side of your camera
Solid bro!
Can you use both systems together or is it best to sell the nucleus M?
@@jessfilmdiaries you can’t use both together, I’d say it’s better to sell it and get this

Thanks for the content. It does actually matter where you put the lidar.
It does, my point was where i had it it worked also
I forgot to ask, can you use the older DJI motors & LiDAR with this system?
I know the old lidar works. the motors im not sure.

I've been trying to figure out this same thing. Have you had any luck?
12:36 - does the lidar still work well when its attached to the hand grip instead of the cameras optical axis/center of lens/sensor?
Yes, it doesnt have to be straight in the center
How do you mount the lidar on top of your handle?
focus pro definitely my next purchase
Is the mounting seen @5:11 included in the kit?
No the lidar is a regular cold shoe, we just installed a cold shoe on the lens
@@VirtueMedia Looks more stable than those cold shoe straps they sell. Got a link/tutorial on how you pulled it off?
Can you use the Tilta Nano 2 or M handwheel with the Focus Pro motors?
No
What is that cold shoe mount? On the ranger lens
I ordered the focus pro and it’s coming in the day before I leave for a shoot
Got it never mind it was in the case
Got it set up and I had the right adapters to add a cold shoe for whenever the focus pro comes in
Great review/tuto!
Can I use the handle on a RS2?
range between the controller and the motors?
Thanks guys!
Hey, I couldn't find it through your video, but does the FIZ unit have hard stops? Or does it turn infinitly?
You can set hard stops thru the handle but the motor itself its a wheel, it can calibrate your lens and create its own stops, unless ofc you're using regular photo lens then you need to set your own stops
I have a question and I want you to be very honest, how long does the setup take from unpacking to setting it up on your camera?
less than a minute
why are RUclipsrs making it seem like it comes with 3 motors? theres no way....
Did i say it comes with 3 motors? Were showing you that you can purchase more than 1 and be able to use them together
You opened up a case with three motors, which is a bundle they should have offered..with 3 motors..

Starting a video with that title and following with a "sponsored by DJI" is bold...
usb c port is a shame, this is shitty weak port.Excepted that this is an amazing product

Is calibration possible for zoom lenses that are not listed?
