Elements of Motion Graphics | EP1: Atomic | Blender Tutorial Series
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 28 июн 2024
- In this series, we'll explore the different elements of motion graphics, and develop a general theory for making effective animations. This video goes over generating primitive shapes (Atoms), modifying them to create slight variation (Isotopes), and putting them together to make more complex composites (Molecule).
In future videos (I anticipate two or three more, one for principles of artistic composition, one for the rules of animation, and a final one reviewing the use of the Blender VSE/Compositor to create additional effects), we'll explore the creation of a final scene and short animation.

Finally started. Gonna try to knock the whole series out today.
After learning various parts of blender, I constructed my own workflow naturally. Watching advanced tutorials, I noticed a lot of advanced users are the same. All having unique workflows and starting point.
The more you dive in yourself as well as see others get just as far, the more you comprehend how far beyond any creative software blender really is.
See you’re workflow blows my mind. Genuinely haven’t seen anyone approach it this way in terms of 2D composition so openly. Thank you so damn much bro
I'm glad you've found these tutorials useful! Feel free to leave any questions if you have them :)
thank you for breaking down this concepts, this series is gonna be great!
Thank you Ive been waiting for this kind of content for weeks!
Never seen anyone use Blender this way. This is so awesome. Excited to dive in
So good !! Thanks for this !! I can’t wait to see the next 😁
when a chemist develops an appetite for motion design ^^ i love the series, thanks for the work!
Thanks! I thought the analogy was clever but I think I stretched it a bit too much towards the end :P
Thanks for the video! God bless you!!!
very interesting, thanks for that and keep these tutorials coming!
This was super inspiring! I will be doing this for sure, it's a great, easy look. Clicking on the next video now...
I’m learning about chemistry AND motion graphics. Wonderful video keep it up!
Thank you for this series! I like the reference to Chemistry with Atoms, Molecules & Isotopes very much. :)
Waiting for the next episode!
I'm posting Blender content every other week, so be sure to check back on June 26th for part 2!
Wow. Your method of teaching is genius and this tutorial series is superbly done. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us in such a clever way!
Really looking foward to transition from After Effects to Blender. This Tutorial series are going to be key in my decision. Thanks a lot for the information I really think this is worth gold
Stop right there !!!
I'm in !!
Just starting to learn blender. This is really interesting and a huge help. Thank you for putting this together and sharing it with the world!
Glad to hear it! Feel free to leave any questions you have. Hopefully these introductory videos are a good preparation for my other Motion Graphics content, which is a bit more advanced.
@@WintermuteDigital Odd question... With Boolean intersection you can also change the color of a shape. How do I do this gradually (with a gradient shift) rather than instantly change its color upon intersection?
Want part 2.... Loved it.
very good, not my usual style but great for me to venture out and try new things
Great Work!
My gosh that is sooo amazing!!
Learned a lot, thank you.
thank you so much for sharing this!
YOU ARE THE BEST, AGAIN AND AGAIN... THANKS YOU A LOT
This is inspiring! Please come back and make more Videos please
soon!
thanks for the tutorial, great work and great topic! Blender as motion graphic is just too few... Keep it up !
Good work brother
you're creative
wow
Great! Can you please organize all dedicated MOGRAPH tuts in one o more
PLAYLIST, so that we can better follow them with an intelligent a decent
progressive learning path?
For example, dividing 2D Mograph tuts (above) from 3D Mograph tuts (already done) , and for every type of Mograph create a dedicated progressive learning path playlist. I would be great!
Will do, once this series is done!
Hi, superb vid. What do you mean by triangle fan, and how do you do it? You breezed by it pretty quick. Cheeers
Hey man, just asking if you can also do some logo animations as part of the motion graphics in blender, please
I'm not going to specifically go over how to make specific effects too often (though I do have a tutorial about making a "glitch effect logo").
Really the purpose of this mini-course is to develop the tools you need to creatively make your own logo animations using the building blocks I'll be showing you!
Please share some link for creating isotypes and shapes using blender for beginner
Did you know that you can achieve perfect radial symmetry by using the object offset of the array modifier?
Step 1: Add empty
Step 2: Make sure the origin of the object you're trying to array is in the same spot as the empty
Step 3: Rotate empty on desired axis
Step 4: Profit
Thank you so much! That's a better solution than randomly tweaking the offsets to make it look close :P
@Alvin Pablo get better algorithms you hunks of ass-code
thanks man, i just figured that YT has a comment word filter so these stupid bots can get blocked

Hi
How I can use blender to capture hand , fingers and face live motion for sign language animation purposes
This is called motion and object tracking (to process video data and track moving objects in a video), as well as rigging (to deform a mesh). I'm not sure that Blender can do this live, as this is an expensive computation. You may want to look into these subjects, or else find a different software to do this, as I don't know if Blender can handle what you want.
are this in blender 2.82 ???
I'm a huge Blender fan so please take this the right way, but, and this is a big BUT, if you are on MAC, spend $50 and just get Motion 5.
Instead of making shapes in blender ,I would actually recommend making the shapes in inkscape or illustrator and then importing them into blender as Svg. Personally I find that a lot more easier.
I think that is an interesting way to allow Blender to make sort-of vector graphics based animations, but if the shapes need to be distorted, it could present some problems. I haven't done too much of SVG manipulation in Blender, but I don't think the path data is transferred over. Let me know if I'm wrong, great idea :)
@@WintermuteDigital I've only done it once so I'm not too sure about the path data . Il find out and shall let u know .
Thx for these great videos 🙌
@@rohan751 Glad you're enjoying them, and I always appreciate feedback and ideas :)

The audio and video are off by a few seconds. It makes it difficult to follow along.
