Thank you. I'd be interested in a part 2 as well. I needed the reminder about buying too much. I so overbought for our family gatherings for the holidays, and now we're in a race to eat all the extra lettuce before it goes bad.

I completely understand ❤️ it sounds like you’re putting in the effort to not waste food though. 😊

Part 2 please. I always try to have at least one meatless meal each day. My grocery budget needs to be reduced but I buy for a full pantry, two freezers and lots of fresh veggies and fruit. Additionally, I purchase at least one item each week to add to a bag for the food bank. My little raised bed garden is helpful, but the market is still getting too much of my grocery money.
Love the sweater you are wearing and wondering about the decor on your backsplash. I digress.

I was doing great in early December and then my college boys came home. Although we aren't eating out, they love comfort foods and snacks..

Good video. I plan to start cooking bulk beans. We spend so much on canned beans and lentils. I also want to learn to can them also. But for now I will freeze them. Also need to make my own broth. I have purchased an 8 qt instantpot for this reason. That way I can just order bulk beans and lentils from azure. Already get oats this way.

Meal planning is such a time saver as well! Thanks for the tips! I like the idea of adding lentils to meat to bulk it up. How would I do that?

Cook the lentils separately, like pasta, then drain and add to the cooked meat.

If you don't have time to cook the lentils, use canned, and drain the liquid...black beans added to cooked ground beef is barely noticeable. You can cook a big batch of lentils or beans etc,and portion them, then freeze them....they'll be ready when you need them and you'll save time and money vs using canned.
