I recommend listening to Handel's or J.C Bach's concertos, they're very good. Even though this one is great, I love to listen to everyone's rendition of a concerto through different instruments

Carl Stamitz , compositor de Bohemia virtuoso del violín, hijo del gran Johann Stamitz, fundador y violinista de la famosa Escuela de Mannheim . Soberbios !!
Stamitz was one of the pioneers of the Mannheim School that developed much of the significant ideas and techniques of classical music composition, particularly in relation the music of the earlier baroque period. Mozart's music in turn depends on many of the innovations of the Mannheim School. It is why it may sound similar. But he takes these ideas and uses them masterfully while simultaneously seeing, due to his unparalleled musical genius, ways to combine and harmonize all other elements of music in order to make something truly unique and ingenius, which is why everyone today knows the name Mozart and not Stamitz.
@@AncientAncestor In a viola concerto repertoire so thin, this concerto by Carl Stamitz (1745 - 1801) is a pleasant entry from the Classical period. It might be an idea however to delete most of your comment which unfortunately is both muddled and misleading. Not a single word of your first paragraph is relevant, nor makes any sense at all, because it refers to Johann Stamitz (1717 - 1757), father of Carl. The music of the two composers - as suggested by their dates - is completely different. Confusing your Stamitzes is as careless as muddling your Bach’s - Carl also had a younger brother Anton (b. 1750), and he too was a competent composer. Johann Stamitz is one of the most important composers if the first Mannheim School; Carl, and Anton, are of the second. Also, much of the hyperbole in the second paragraph ‘...unparalleled musical genius’ - referring to Mozart - is unhelpful, inaccurate, and completely meaningless; even in his own time, there were a number of areas where this ‘unparalleled musical genius’ was trumped by Haydn. Mozart was not ‘dependent’ on anything from anyone from either group of Mannheim composers, but he was hugely impressed with the quality and sound of the orchestra, assimilated what he learnt from his visits to Mannheim - he knew the director of the orchestra Cannabich very well - and occasionally praised some of the composers such as Holzbauer. Any similarities listeners may hear between C. Stamitz and Mozart - or anyone else - are entirely coincidental and arise from composers of the time using a shared late18th century musical language. You are quite correct however, that Mozart - and Haydn - as composers both wrote music some way beyond the capabilities of all their contemporaries.
