      Yes ...that is the only thing that he got wrong. My CANON SX50hs has a separate charger that plugs into the wall.
      Otherwise this guy has a great persona in front of thecamera. great job.

    It's weird, he talked everything better with Canon, and the end the best is Sony?

    Nice review, you convinced me not to buy the Nikon, but definitely didn't convinced me that the Sony is better than the Canon.
    A few points to be noticed when comparing the Canon against the Sony:
    The Canon is lighter and smaller;
    It supports RAW file format;
    It has a flash shoe for an external flash;
    Actually, despite what you said, it does have a charger so you don't need to charge the batteries inside the camera;
    It has a supersonic zoom speed, that is why you noticed it's zoom as the fastest;
    It's display can do a FULL flip-out and is easier to see in outdoor conditions;
    It shoots faster (13 fps against 10 fps from Sony);
    It can record in slow motion (even 240 fps but not so good resolution).
    But I recognize that the Sony has 12800 ISO against only 6400 from the Canon.
    I'm not saying Canon is better, I'm only saying it has a lot of advantages over the Sony, so I don't understand how you came to the conclusion that the Sony is better in overall. I would like to understand why you said that because I'm doing a research and still don't know if I'll buy the Canon SX50 or the Sony HX300. I want a good camera to take pictures AND full hd videos.

    Two things: I know that the Canon will shoot in RAW and the Nikon will not, if you like to use software for adjusting your image. Also this review says the batteries are only chargeable within the camera itself. You can inexpensively purchase extra batteries and an external charger for the Canon from E-Bay or other outlets that will allow you to charge one while using another.

    Lame review..skips over the most important want in a camera: image quality.

  • @anulearntech
    @anulearntech 10 лет назад +2

    one singular reason why the hx300 falls behind the sx50hs is the use of 20 mp.
    the more pixels you put, the more noise it creates.
    there is an optimum limit of megapixels for a particular sized sensor, where it peaks it's performance. beyond it pic quality deteriorates.
    20 mp is just a marketing gimmick & may help sometimes when creating very huge posters; but why would u use this camera for creating for that purpose????

    Hi sorry for my English. Do you know.why on the hx300 the videos highest quality stop after 30 seconds even if i have an empty memory card 8g? On the screen you can read 21 minute of recording free but when i record it lasts only 30 seconds. Do you know why? On the other video qualities the videos last a bit more but always they don't correspond To the time put on the screen. Ciao

    This is a manipulated review, probably a paid one. Whe this guy was featuring p520 he was showing the camera in real action, but during reviewing sony and canon he just showed a premade picture. Just watch the review attentively, you will see that sony and canon camera were never in real action. What sucks about this guy is that he is telling a pure lie. When you keep your camera and move it on Lens of each camera vibrates, and it is universal as the lens tries to adjust the picture. I have canon I definitely feel the vibratration in my canon.

      I did lots more research and ordered the Sony HX400 for $419 from 42nd St. Photo this week. Mine won't have GPS, but I don't need it. The Sony's Wi-Fi might be useful. I needed a microphone input that most superzooms lack. The Sony has a hotshoe that accepts their adjustable stereo mics (and has a mic out ability to send the signal to a mixer, etc. for processing.) The Sony seems to focus faster than the others, and the ability to manually focus is a plus.

    I got the HX300 last Friday. The lack of instructions supplied is annoying. Everything I am learning bit by bit. But for the life of me, I can not find half of the Picture Effects, Miniature mode and all the HDR effects are not on my menu. All I can see is Part red, green, blue and yellow filters, Pop, Toy and SftH key in the Picture Effects menu. Nothing to access any other special effects that other people say are on the camera. This camera needs a proper manual. Anyone help?

  • @BarnET0
    @BarnET0 11 лет назад

    pictures of the Canon at 1200mm is not what i would call usable.
    you cannot compare 50X zoom on a bridge to 50X zoom on binoculars. the 50X starts at wide angle while we as humans see things at roughly 45mm equiv. i recall.
    And then there is the lack of dynamic range of image sensors compared to our eyes. it is very hard to see animals in the shadows with an evf.
    Then there is resolution. your screen is just not as sharp as your vision.

  • @coreyrc
    @coreyrc 11 лет назад

    Read my comments, idiot. I said I've used the Canon and wasn't impressed. IF the Sony ends up sucking, I'll return it just like I did the Canon. I've looked at comparison pics and have seen good and bad things in both. I just know I don't like the Canon, so I'm giving the HX300 a try. If you can't handle that, well, I'm sorry. This video wasn't the deciding factor on my choosing the Sony, but the comment I originally replied to did help me choose the HX300 over the HX200V.

  • @coreyrc
    @coreyrc 11 лет назад

    And by "all" you mean "a few"? I admit, I haven't had the chance to use the Sony, but I have used the Canon, and wasn't impressed. I did mention two things he mentions in the video, but because I observed those things myself, not because he said it in the video. And again, color doesn't matter - I can change that. I've read bad things about the Sony, sure, but I've also read and experienced negatives about the Canon. I'd like the Canon to be the best since it's cheaper than the Sony.

  • @BarnET0
    @BarnET0 11 лет назад

    I still don't see the point why someone wants more reach then 600mm in a bridge camera. 600mm equivalent is almost the same field of view as a Canon 7D with an 100-400mm L lens, probably the most used lens for birds and wildlife. I would pick a 300mm prime and maybe a 1.4 teleconverter but that's just me.

  • @coreyrc
    @coreyrc 11 лет назад

    Did you even watch the video? He plainly says the Sony is the overall best of the three. I've read similar things from other sites. When I tried the Canon, I felt the UI was pretty bad, the shutter button was awkward to reach, and the photos weren't actually better. Also, better color is a non-issue - that's what Photoshop is for.

  • @pnotuner1
    @pnotuner1 3 года назад

    Everything you said about the Sony is true. I have used my Lumix FZ80 for a year and just got a HX400. On paper the Lumix has better specs. The Lumix gets some shots better than the Sony, But overall the Sony just works better.

  • @wacka2

    you are right graham , the self timer is in a stupid place .
    the 240 fps is not worth using as the quality is not great , but i have used the 120 fps and its fine for general use.
    Not sure any camera in this price bracket will have full hd at 240 fps , is there such a camera at £ 280 quid ?

  • @coreyrc
    @coreyrc 11 лет назад

    See? You're so much more pleasant to read when you don't have an ass-ish tone. I'll give the Sony a shot (I have already ordered it) and if it sucks, I'll return it and move, probably to the Canon (because I think we can both agree - the Nikon is terrible.)

  • @FocusCameraTV

    The Hx300 is not an interchangeable lens camera and though you can find filters that do fit, and could get an adapter, it is not easily compatible with most filters. We suggest you take it into a store to see what works! We linked to a video of the HX300 being used with adapter rings in the info of our video as well.

    Hola amigo.

      +TOXICO KILLER Hi there, thanks for your question. For what you're doing I would pick the Sony HX300; it has higher resolution and it has longer exposure, which will help with night photography.

    I got the Sony HX300, my first DSLR Camera :D Works fine and I love playing around with it but most of the time I film a blog with the camera facing me and uh kinda needing the full flip screen but overall works fine 9/10

    it seems sony has a better aperture f/2.8-f/6.5 than canon f/3.4-f/6.5.

      The P520 has a f/stop of 3.0-8.4

    I think Canon SX50 better because of external flash.

    Flash of HX300 is good enough with 17.5m that I tested and it works perfectly. Now issue to got external flash in this situation. New Nikon P600 is also interesting but aperture is not good side of this one. But I must admit that all this cameras are not as good as Sony RX-1 with much better Lens and ISO control .

      No issue. Probably Fuji HS50 EXR is better than this 3 that are mentioned ( bigger sensor, usable ISO 3200, better construction of lens 17 elements and better aperture and quality of films)

    Talking about cameras the Nikon and Canon are the best

    The Canon SX 50 has a separate battery charger, so the battery doesn't have to be charged "in camera". It also has much better image quality than the other two cameras reviewed.

      I thought it was rather convenient how that was not even talked about. I'd love to know why the Sony was supposedly better. I'd also love to know what features he couldn't find as Canon's have about the most logical menu systems in the industry.

    First I was confused which to buy nikon, canon or sony. But the nikon was out from the race when you told that the auto focus is slow and the lense vibrating is not a good sign. I choosed canon and i am fully satisfied.
