We have had the ESC completely submerged a couple of times, and (as showed in the video) have hosed it down after our runs. Castle recommends to remove the fan when running in wet conditions, as it's not waterproof, but we have let it in at our own risk, and it still works as new (it's a brushless fan).
Hello MrJOA180, You're of course welcome to ask your question in English. ;-) The MM2 2200KV combo, with 14/62 gearing and the latest 1.45 firmware performs remarkably well when crawling with the Summit. The slow start and throttle control at low RPM is definately a plus, but with very very very low throttle input, you'll always get some cogging, inherent to sensorless brushless motors.
Thank you! I mostly trail with it so super low throttle input isnt used much. Im hoping for better run time too as brushless motors are usually more efficient than brushed.
ahh I wish this was in english....did you say there is no cogging while crawling? Im looking into getting this system for my summit. I have the same maxamps as well. However I am concerned about the cogging while crawling and the actual water proofness of the esc and fan.
Great video, so, I got a question, do you know how to increase, give strenght to brake? 'cause my E revo brakes so weak and I dunno' how to increase or do something to configurate the brake correctly, in advance Thanks a lot
You will need the Castle Link (usb adapter) to hook the ESC to your computer, running the Castle Link software, where you can program everything A to Z. -- Provided that you're using a Castle ESC as shown in this video.
Do you have problems with the driveline or Diffs if you drive with 4Cell or more ? Many people reported this but many other peoples have no problems at all. BTW: Please make a comparision betweeen Summit and Slash.
Hey 6 months later and I finally got the mamba monster after killing the Dewalt I put in. One question, it looks like you address it in your video but I can't understand the language. The receivers plugs are all full so theres no where to plug the esc fan from the mamba in. Looks like you used a Y connector. Did you unplug the lights? Which plug did you end up using? Thanks.
just one cuestion the fan on the esc i has to be on the hole time or only when thr esc is gettig hot i turns on i have the mamanba moster pro on the xo1 but the fan turns on and then stops is the normal
Dennis Montgomery You'd need the Traxxas hold-down bracket for the MM2 ESC (TRX5626). There's no need to change the radio. Watch the video. You may not understand the spoken words, but the footage speaks for itself.
Thanks so much for your time and quick response!!!! I have a mini-T that I put a mamba in, and I love it so I am sure I will love the MM2 in my Summit, thanks again!
Roses are red, and indeed; violets are blue. But there's "NL" in the title, and never heard of loan words, too? Then the channel's name is "RCblog NL" but I guess Mac Witt missed that as well ... boo!
Jammer dat er in NL niet veel plekken zijn waar het gewaardeerd word om met Rc zonder bij een club voor veel geld lid te hoeven worden..,,kan crossen met RC.. vliegen of racen..
Im running my summit in 5s and if you shim you pinion and ring gear nice and tight and also youre spider gears in the back really tight you should be ok before i used shims i was going trough diff every run lol now seems fine didnt have to open it since :) 5s im going around 60km/hr with my summit its crazy fun :)

This is so awesome. Thanks for showing us this. I have always wondered if this setup would fit in a Summit.
Thank you! I mostly trail with it so super low throttle input isnt used much. Im hoping for better run time too as brushless motors are usually more efficient than brushed.
You're welcome, and happy trailing!

The Mamba Motor is a beast! :)
Agreed!
Hoe houden het differentieel en schakel systeem zich onder al dat geweld van een veel krachtigere aandrijving? En weten jullie misschien of er een brushed of gewoon waterproof ventilator voor de ESC te vinden is?
hey buddy, is the motor sensored or sensoreless? if sensorless, how does the summit crawl?
RcToThe FREAK Sensorless. Slow start and crawling on low throttle goes pretty well as shown in the video.
RCblog NL yes i saw it after my question sorry! ;)
What is the difference between sensors and non?
Dennis Montgomery Go Google that.
RcToThe FREAK sensor less

hoe doe je de 2 batarij aanstuitingen er aan dan wand aan de mamba monster 2 zit maar 1 baterij aansluiting!! help
Hallo willen jullie misschien ook een keer een review van een summit vxl doen ?
During the running footage, were you using 6 cell or 4 cell lipos?
4S.
Does this come with or without leather seats? Ac?
With both!
i cant anderstand you but i like your summit
Have you had any problems with the diffs or other driveline problems?
So far no! Don't hammer the throttle, though.
I feel like their locking diffs over time would weaken up a bit. If you were to go brushless, I'd change the diff to normal open diffs
Gaaf. Meer summit! :)

What center differential is that
Stock Summit 2-transmission tranny. No center-diff.
Hoi Julian,
Wie weet voor in de nabije toekomst.
Have you tried the Hobbywing Max 8 150a sensorless esc and 4274 2200kv brushless motor?
Yes, but no video review of that combo.
We did one on the HW Xerun 150A sensored combo though: ruclips.net/video/HxxsBHvsGHk/видео.html
RCblog NL... Thanks for the reply.

Hi what size where the bolts to attach the esc switch to the hold down?
+Stretch For this you'd need to check the Traxxas E-Revo Brushless Edition exploded views on the Traxxas website.
leuk en lekker snel
wanneer weer een heli vid?

I thought the fan plugs into the aux port on the esc itself

Yes, it only turns on when the ESC hits 150 degrees
Serie-opstelling van de bedrading.
would there be a way to get this in English? I am looking into getting the MM2 for my summit!!!! Thanks
Dennis Montgomery Sorry, not for now. We might add subtitles in the future! But... the MM2 combo is a super upgrade for your Summit nonetheless!
Can u tell me what extra parts do you need for the conversion? Can u use the original radio?
Dennis Montgomery You'd need the Traxxas hold-down bracket for the MM2 ESC (TRX5626). There's no need to change the radio. Watch the video. You may not understand the spoken words, but the footage speaks for itself.

Dennis Montgomery Welcome! You'll sure love it, and happy tinkering!
Good video! looks good!
Great video!
what did you say ????
Hell yeah
very good video. Wish you could do it in english...
You're welcome, Rob!
