"My wife says my mic is fine" - Joe
I lost it. Beer out my nose.
I discovered your channel just days ago and I can't get enough. You and dingle head make for a great comedic duo.

I don’t often comment on videos but I just had to pause the video and tell you how impressed I am with your introduction! This is by far one of the best I have seen. The music perfectly suits the pace of your cuts and is beautiful to listen to. The end shots were excellent....’Where are you Joe?’...cue loons...music fades and loons dive out of sight leaving just their ripples! AMAZING!! Can hardly wait to see the rest of the video😊

I really enjoyed this, Doug. I also watched Joe's version and it's crazy how the same trip can seem so different when the story is relayed through different eyes. I thought both versions were really good, but I must say that your video craft is really coming along. Keep up the good work!

The full beard is a better look for you Doug. It instills a wiser, more traveled and knowledgeable back country instructor. The sections with your travel shots and the soundtracks that are utilized show your concern and care of the country you witness. Please continue to exemplify the tried and trusted respectful unwritten courtesies of living in the wild and in harmony with what is gifted to us.

I FORGET ALL MY OWN WORRIES & FEEL GREAT AFTER WATCHING YOUR VIDEOS ON YOUR CHANNEL. I'VE PROBABLY WATCHED THIS PARTICULAR VIDEO 4 OR MORE TIMES SINCE IT CAME OUT IN SEPTEMBER OF 2018. Found you and Joe by accident on youtube. Haven't done the stuff you guys do but some of it. Went to Canada on a Thanksgiving weekend 58 years ago. I was sixteen. We were between Batcawana bay and WaWa. It was cold, snowy, wet. We four guys camped in an old umbrella tent. No sleeping bags. No pads. No heat. I took my gas Coleman lantern. That was our heat. We stayed by the Chippewa river I think. I see there's a resturant/bar/party store across 17 from where we camped. That a campsite is a parking lot now. Things change in 58 years. Great videos, both of you.

Joe and Doug, I knew those "eerie distant drums" were a warning! I'm watching around 56:31 and my sides hurt from laughing with you! "I'm SCAAARED!!!", Joe groans. Then as if it will help, you decide to stay up all night. Viewers out there, this is worth watching over and over. It makes the entire trip one of the best you two have ever had. I'm glued to the rest of this DougandJoe Show. Stay safe.... :0) Donna B.

Doug! Look at you going all high speed/low drag with the face! I love how you two have such an easy banter, and play off each other. It's also cool to compare your video styles. Same trip, but the presentation and feel is different enough that watching both videos doesn't feel redundant. Looks like a great adventure with enough adversity to give a little extra sense of accomplishment and memorable stories. Thanks for sharing!

I know you have a heavy load already, but if you bring a newspaper or paper towel in a plastic bag with you, it can be used to stuff into your wet shoes at night it absorbs all the excess moisture to speed up the drying process. Just something my grandpa showed me way back. It came in handy when I was a mailman.

At least you have a spork this time. Otters are my favorite wild animal, the play even as adults and they are no different in the ocean than in the rivers except for size. A true outdoors man sleeps through anything. You cannot walk in my woods any longer, we have had so much wind this year and there are hundreds of dead ash. either on the ground blocking the trails or hanging up in trees making it uber dangerous.

I see you don't paddle in line so a monster PIKE won't snag all three one after another! Nice storm. Used to live in Red Wood forest. Friend was going to work when a jet stream dipped and toppled Redwoods! One fell across his engine and slammed the block into the ground. It was easy for him (beat up stopping instantly) to get out. He waited for help and was late to open his Pharmacy. He was mostly walking wounded but with his weight, it was a long recovery. Martin
