Joe Robinet and myself take on Algonquin Park Ontario on a rather ambitious trip to cross the Park from its west border to east following the Pettawawa river system through many lakes and portages

Best father and son trip ever !!!
So, uh, Definately. So, yeah.
oh boy...
HAHAHA!
LMAO!
hahahaha.. better term than "Doug is old" 😂😂😂
Awesome video and awesome trip. We can't go out together again - too many similarities. Uh, so, pretty cool, anyways, Canada shirt.
please explain sean
Seth Lodge we both say those things and we had to adjust our wardrobes last October so we didn't both war that plaid shirt on our french river trip
thanks man - yes, we must always call each other before going out haha
But you four do awesomeness together. I admire how individually you lend the benefits of your skills and experience. I work in film in Canada and Ive never before had the notion of producing an outdoor informative survivalist type program. Everything needed is here and its presented without semi-automatic weapons and paranoia. You four have something, plus fkn awesome music tracks, as Ive previously mentioned. I am interested in a program.which explores all of Canada's provincial parks and otherwise, with likable personalities, who would gladly take advantage of a production companies budget while doing what they love. I am in B.C. Oh PS, please refrain from shooting white skies in your cam perspectives. Blues are fine as these cameras will correct its exposure, but with a white sky you get lost,.... everything gets lost.. I love what you guys are doing, do not stop.
Thank you for teaching me the word "portage". It's my learn something new everyday for 03/03/2018.
Just as fun and interesting as the first 3 times I watched it. Thanks for the attitude adjustment. I needed the lift :-)
You deserve some kind of reward for spending a week with Joe.
be nice -he will get the same comment about me I'm sure
Haters gonna hate ,
Ditto
Squatched!!!

That was a nice walleye! Great video, man. Thanks!
thanks Dennis -it was a nice surprise
Watched your answering questions video and had to watch the noise in the bush moment. Lol. Bigfoot broke your tent. Congratulations on crossing algonquin! 😊👍
Aaah man, I can just smell those beautiful trout. Thanks for sharing this journey, so beautiful!
I love that I can watch you and Joe's trip on separate videos and get the different perspectives and still not seem like I've already seen this. Your personalities and video styles compliment each other so well. Awesome trip! Good to see you guys enjoyed yourselves and thank you for bringing us along!
thanks Mandi -it was a great trip
“We chew with our mouth closed on this trip.”
Hahaha
As alway great post Doug.
thanks Calvin
I enjoy that you give underwater go pro footage. 👍
Thx for another enjoyable video.
thanks Lee -I always forget to but glad I got a couple this time
Was great watching your movie Doug!! Im a subscriber to Joes channel, and was nice to see the other perspective of this trip.. am now a subscriber to your channel also.. Great job!!
Awesome trip Doug! Very cool with the wolves howling! I've never heard wolves howl before in the wild! Thanks for sharing!
thanks Rob -that was a real highlight for me too
Same thing happened to my tent pole week and a half ago in Northwest England, had the tent a good few years though. Didn't hear it snap, just had a wash and came back to it poking in the air. Luckily the poles are on the outside so no more damage. Got some Easton's winging their way from Canada, changing the lot. Great vid and cheers for making it.
thanks! they replaced them with no issue after trying a repair so i'm happy
Thanks for sharing this awesome trip! You and Joe make a good team.
thanks Derek -he's ok :)
Found your channel from watching Joe's video of this trip. Really cool to see the trip from both points of view. Happy to sub your channel as well, many great and useful videos.
“And that was the time you peed in your canoe.”
Hahaha great video!
You’re an inspiration.
haha -thanks!
Thanks for the shout out guys! Great video, amazing fishing. I caught nothing! (Joe's curse?!!) Nice crossing paths.
thanks John -very cool to meet up in the woods like that
Watched Joe's video and per his plug, I just watched yours. I think you have some excellent camera and editing skills. Really enjoyed watching from your perspective. Funny thing is, on Joe's video you seemed much quieter and not very talkative, but in yours you seemed like a completely different person. Also had several good laughs from the jokes and cutting up. Thanks for the Adventure.
thanks man -we were both doing our own thing together I suppose
Awesome video, Doug, I especially liked those shots in the mist.
thanks -I loved the mist, so eerily cool
Been watching Joe and my self reliance for a while now and over the moon ive only just noticed your channel Doug, great videos .....you guys are the salt of the earth !
Awesomeness! Second night "fire mantle" looked like a big bear head.
I'm late to the show. New subscriber. After seeing the "mantle", I immediately jumped on the comments to see how many people saw that too.
"To finish something is why you start it"
A wonderful journey in beautiful scenic countryside, the lakeside hike with Joe was your best film, this just eclipsed it :)
thanks man -appreciate that
I love all you guys together I'll watch all of your videos Your taste in what you capture and also your different perspectives and yes your personalities are so perfect.....Please Shawn don't think you cant take trips together please....Anyways loved this video Doug....you are funny and I love the fog images....fun fun fun later .....Life is good!!!!!!
Loved the video Doug, that looked like an amazing trip ! I never get tired of the banter between you and Joe.
thanks man -always fun with Joe
Epic epic trip Doug, so envious of the vast wilderness you guys have across the pond! ~Peace~
thanks man -gonna have to come and see someday
Zed Outdoors come on Zed we've got some wilderness take Dartmoor 365 square miles. Then there's the Scottish highlands, the peak district. All the best Cheers Karl
Dead Fall Bushcraft. We could fit all of that in one of our million lakes lol.
2955 sq miles is a little bit more spacious if you want a little more of a challenge. But there are a few more animals that you might encounter so brush up on your bushcraft and hike and camp with someone who can't run as fast as you. And I almost forgot. Let someone know your route so it will be easier to find your body.
Hi Doug , I enjoy watching your videos just as I do Joe's and Shawn's channels . But I have to say that this video of yours , has to be the best I've seen . ( don't tell the other guys ) . More than once while watching , I felt like I was there . I've been to Algonquin Park many times as a young fellow and I remember those misty mornings ,I plan to do the park crossing next year when I take my 2 week vacation . Thanks for sharing your experiences , quite enjoyable to watch .
awesome -thanks man, i appreciate it
Throughly enjoyed your video and Joe’s. I like the banter between the both of you. Looks like you had a great time. Thanks.
always fun with Joe -thanks for watchin
Great trip !!! One day I hope to explore all the beauty of Algonquin Park. Thanks for sharing.
thanks -its a beauty park
Wonderful video Doug. Great job editing, and narrating through out the vid. You have a good eye for beautiful scenery. Also, nice Walleye too! Thank you and cheers!
thanks man
Been waiting all week!! Awesome!!! Just finished... what a beating!!!! very very good one Doug!!! Thanks for the ride.
thanks !
Oh good! This is one of my favorites 💕I’ll love watching it again👏🏼👏🏼
how fortunate you both are to have friends, time and a beautiful place to enjoy .. Great video !
Beautifully done Doug - really enjoyed that. So true about what happens in the morning, feels like days away by the evening. We had the time of our lives following the same path across the park a few years ago up to Big Trout, then onto Big Crow, Lavieille, White Partridge and through to Achray. It isn’t easy. Brought back some good memories though - thanks for sharing :)
thanks Chris! i watched some of your vids leading up to this trip
lol I just watched this for the 3rd time since you posted it....it doesn't get old...thanks for making these videos.
Great video, great trip and some really great fishing. it inspires me to spend more time in the woods. Thank you .... look forward to the next adventure.
thanks -glad you liked it
Really enjoyed watching both yours and Joe's version of the trip....

thanks Ron -appreciate it
Yes! Been looking forward to this 🏕⛺️
I'm only 30 mins in, but I'm loving this trip I'm taking with you and Joe!!
thanks Lisa!
I came here after watching Joe’s video. Anyone can go outside and film it. But to stick through a longer video and keep coming back video after video, your personality needs to be appealing. You really have a relaxing effect. I enjoyed your humour and watching you guys truly enjoy yourselves. This wasn’t a forced show, your personality came through. Awesome trip, great video. Subbed 👍
Oh! And I loved that long bit at 21:02 with just the sounds of solitude. Absolutely beautiful.
Joe's video brought me to sub here. Thanks for the content
What a spectacular trip that was!! Thank you for sharing with us. Wish I had been there on the water. Phenomenal fishing! Scenery was breath taking!
thanks John -appreciate it
great scene of the turtle fantastic
thx John -i'm glad it turned out
Finally! Settling in to watch this and cant wait for Joe's version.
thanks man
Thank you so much. That was an amazing vicarious experience! :D
thanks -glad you liked it
Doug, I think that you're a big inspiration to Joey... I'm really happy for both of you. Canada rules the US sux especially NY and what I see from the films that you guys put out is "true friendship."
AWESOME !!! Doug , that looked like a lot of fun and work........I'm sad that Bigfoot is dead 😢 LMAO 😀.........Great video , you and Joe are a good team , a lot of laughs and good times , Thanks for sharing your trip
thanks Steve -always a good time with young Joseph
Laughed at the Friendly Giant quote and laughed even more when you wondered if others would recognize it. Funny how you like a paddle after supper but wouldn't appreciate a relaxing portage. For two guys experiencing freedom, you certainly organize things so you are on a tight schedule. Go less far or take more time so you can REALLY engoy it. Thanks for sharing the adventure.
thanks man - had to cross the park once -plenty of time later to relax haha
Very good video guys, I enjoyed watching all the way through, and had lots of laughs, Thanks for sharing
thanks Jerry
Hi, Doug and Joe. Took the trip with you and the scenery was the best yet. I love the Loons and the portages sound like drumbeats. Great video. Take care, guys. ;0) Donna B.
Doug you and Joe are a hoot!!! Joe is soooooo trendy! And you are so laid back. I call you dudes the "Odd Couple" lol. You guys including Shawn and "Crazy O" are the toughest Badass bush craft boys!!!! Much Love Aloha and safety. Big Duke.🏄 Da Hawaiian"🌅

58:40 Beautiful huge Walleye, for me, it's proved to be the best tasting of all the fresh water fish. Smart spot you chose Doug. This Vid is absolutely Awesome!
Great video, Doug. Lovely scenery. Thx for filming scenery as u paddled...I can actually see how narrow some routes were and what ur fishing spots looked like. Gosh, those wolves were awesome. That had to b exciting. Congrats to U and Joe for accomplishing ur challenge!

I've watched all of your canoe trip videos on your channel multiple times, and they're some of my favorites. Makes the winter easier to handle when I can watch these videos.

Spent a beautiful week there in 1986. It’s nice to see it’s still beautiful. Thanks for rekindling the memories
Im proud of you.8 days of joe and he is still alive.
haha -thanks
I saw your video first so I watched yours first. I was at Brent campground on Cedar lake, I did keep the occasional eye out for you but I did not spot any canoes that weekend. I have riden my motorcycle up the Madawaska many times. After the park it is very much a damned river. Great video and what a memorable trip, weather and all
thanks Daniel -hope you enjoyed the same great weather
The weather was perfect and I went up there to see the meteor crater and it was worth the trip.
It's hard to see those whoppers go back in the water, but I guess you can only eat so much. Best line of the trip : Doug-(from the lake shore)" Goognight, sun" Joe-(from his tent) "Goodnight pop". LMAO. Atho Joe lying on the shore did look like a funny looking log. :D
Thanks Doug -that Joe is a funny one haha
This was beautiful and awesome! Loved it! Enjoyed seeing this country and your weather was absolutely perfect! Thank you for sharing!
thanks Elizabeth!

Epic trip; you and Joe are Iron men!! The scenery and weather, WOW!!!! And the world's best fishing problem: we can't afford to fish and lose time!!!!!
That was great Doug. Epic trip for sure! Say what you want about not wanting to be repetitive, I cant take as many of those sunrises as you care to share. Just beautiful! Thanks for bringing us along.
+Jacqui Blanchard thanks Jacqui!
