Well put, i have seen extreme failures over years due to mechanic fault as well as driver fault and it is spendy repair and times when lucky no one gets killed when talking hgv side. And agree investing in dial is sometimes necesity for sure
Great video. I just wanted to check something, I have a 1991 defender 90 with a disc conversion on the back, based on your video I believe I have a td5/puma rear axle, would that sound about right. I recently changed the wheel bearings, when I undid them they weren't that tight, so when I did them back up I only went to 60Nm, I'm assuming that's wrong then, and that I should retighten them up to 210Nm?
I doubt I can help from this distance. Please refer to the extensive list of videos we have.... If you can't find anything then get back to me. Regards....
Good video I changed mine back to the two nut adjustable as I don’t fancy endless trips to the stealer for different overpriced spacers
I just did the wheel bearings on my 2008 TDCI, your videos came in very helpful! Thank you for putting the time into them!
Glad it was of help.
Recently did mine and ended up with no movement after tightening the hub nut to spec. How do I know it’s not too tight...if that’s even possible?

In my td5 workshop manual I can't seem to find anything about fitting these spacers.. Is it possible that I have the wrong manual?
throw the spacers away and use two nuts , its simple and it works.
Great video. I wish you were in the US.
Hi mate, totally unrelated to this video but I have a problem with a defender 200tdi and you seem to know your stuff, please help
