My mom just got a 2021 Honda Pilot and I’m super interested in the 2021 Honda HRV. I’m only 21 w 3 other siblings and I work 6 days a week so I figured this would be a real cool car to start off with
Love my 2022 ! Just got it. Looks exactly like this one. Moonroof too, all the bells and whistles. Love the paddle shifters !! Helps to get it moving if you know how to use them but still has plenty of zip if you don’t use them. Wish it did have more door and center console pockets. Don’t recommend the sport model, only looks somewhat sportier but doesn’t come with all the bells and whistles and for only a couple grand more you can get the EX.
I have the 2020 HRV EX. I love it. It looks exactly the same as mine. Even inside. It was closer to $30,000 but I love it. Honda’s last a very long time. This model is great on gas! Thank you for the video! 🙏 It’s Lunar Metallic in color. I love it. You never see that color.
I have a 2020 HRV Sport AWD with Honda sensing, push button start, shiny black trim all around and leather trimmings inside, same looks on tires. 2020 Sport model is MORE upgraded than this one. I love my Honda, that's all that matters to me.
This car has a design flaw. I bought a 2021 HRV on March1, 2021 and noticed an irritating piercing whistling noise on my way home when I cracked open any front window or moonroof. I brought it back to Huntington Honda twice and they said they test drove 2 other new HRVs and they made the same horrible noise. So I'm basically told this is normal on all HRVs. I wonder if Honda has a design flaw or whether Huntington Honda is sitting on a bad batch?
9:48 Honda did a nice job of placing the required screen in the dashboard instead of looking like the typical ADD ON to the top of the dash board. 12:23 What's up with the flashing circle around the speedometer?
14:48 Thanks for mentioning my two cents worth on that feature. Yeah, & if it’s got auto stop-start, no worries. Like I told Mr. Tompkins, I’ve researched ways on how you can disable that feature, especially for FREE. Maybe I could do a tutorial on that.
Thanks for the review. Honda got almost everything right on the HR-V.... but the A/C controls lack any knobs/manual controls like the Sport trim. That really spoils the whole experience for me. On the Sport you can adjust the controls without taking your eyes off the road. Just my opinion.
I have the 2022 sport version I like it but I would like it to have more features like this version and I saw the 2023 models those are very very very niceeeee
The side view mirrors do not fold automatically and this model did not have rear parking sensors. Rear parking sensors are available as an option but not standard. Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave a comment.
Great vehicle. So glad Honda doesnt have that stupid stop start system either. Kiss your starter goodbye not to mention premature top end engine fatigue.
Thank you! And I couldn’t agree with you more. And some of my videos I actually talk about the damaging effects of the auto stop start feature on the vehicle for starters. Thanks for watching!
I like the EX trim. Because I’m on Long Island, I would definitely opt for the AWD because front wheel drive and hilly roads here are a no-go in the snow. I like the blue a lot, I’m stuck between that, silver, black, or white. I saw on Honda’s website I could get the auto dimming rear view mirror, and roof rail cross bars, and the rubber floor mats. I’m sure it’s significantly slower than my VW Tiguan that has 200 HP and a turbo and 4 Motion, but the Honda will be 10x more reliable (hopefully). That’s my major drawback with the Volkswagen, it has been the least reliable car I’ve owned. I was looking at the CR-V which is bigger and peppier, but the 1.5 Turbo has issues with gas seeping into the motor oil. I too dislike the Engine Start/Stop thing, super annoying. The new VW’s feel like someone driving a stick shift that stalled - very abrupt. I test drove the GMC Terrain that has a very nice interior and it was very quiet, but it cannot be disabled unless you shift into L9, and it’s definitely going to wear out the starter and ignition coils and spark plugs and other parts a lot sooner.
I just test drove one today and I love it! Can't wait to get one!
Good choice! Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave a comment.
Looking at buying a new 21 Hrv ex or exl. No turbo, no auto engine stop, reliable engine. This is the car for me.

Just got my HR-V, love it!
I have had my 2021 almost 2 years. Love it
My family loves our little HRV AWD, plenty of storage space (most in the class) and it handles really good on the road!!
Very nice suv its fun to drive. The only problem is the AC Not that cold and very loud if you put up the fan to number 3.

I got the Honda hrv 2021 sport and I love it!!! Highly recommend.
How do you like it still? I’m thinking of getting one soon!
@@michaelmedina6592 I still love it. I have had it for 3 months and had no problems.
Would love to know a year later how its treating you..this is my top contender for a new car soon!
I just leased my first Honda HR-V EX yesterday! Loved it!
Good choice!
This thing is a hidden gem.
I'm so excited to get mine this spring!

The flashing circle is shutter speed on the camera. It’s actually not an issue with the vehicle itself.
Just bought one today and love it. Great video, I didn't even know about the heated side mirrors!
Congratulations!
@@VehicleVisionary Thank you
I love this car, HRVs are so easy to drive I want one so bad
I have had mine 3 days l love it

Waiting for mine to come in. Thank YOU so much for showing everything! Great video and love the humor!
Thank you and congratulations on your purchase. Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave a comment.
Yo tengo HRV 2020 EX y es el mismo en todo excepto los aros que son completos en alumio. Mi pregunta es la altura es la misma1.065?? Saludos desde PR
I don’t know why the Honda Hrv doesn’t have blind spot monitoring
same but there is sensing so it’s prob fine

I so want to buy a HRV. Probably CPO 2019 LX AWD. Fingers crossed : )
I hope that works out for you. 👍
The key is inside the fob...the tab is on the back. At least on my 21 EX it is.
Thank you for sharing, K G!
That was a great review but you didn’t talk about the magic seat in the back
Test driving an HR-V EXL tomorrow , may pull the trigger , need something more practical
Let me know what you ultimately do. Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave a comment!
I have a 19 HRV 2wd. Very under powered. It's ok for basic transporation. I likely won't get another when my 2 yr. lease expires.
the EX trim (one trim below the top trim) and still no electric adjustable seats?
Does the EX have blind spot monitoring?
I have the 2022 sport version I like it but I would like it to have more features like this version and I saw the 2023 models those are very very very niceeeee
Do the side view mirrors fold in automatically? Also does the car beep when you're reversing and getting closer to an object ?
The side view mirrors do not fold automatically and this model did not have rear parking sensors. Rear parking sensors are available as an option but not standard. Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave a comment.
GDI engine or not ??????

Great review, but I'm distracted checking out that beautiful property. LOL

Most of all, it’s a Honda, lol. Nice, although I wish they had a 5;or 6 sped optional.
I agree, the six speed would be nice. Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave a comment.
I don't care to have a panoramic sunroof😉
👍👍👍
Own a 21 sport HRV great suv but extremely underpowered
The sport trim its sitting in the drivewwy
committed your lives to correcting people jjajajajajajajajajajajjajajaja exactly
To be honest I feel like the Honda HR-V really needs a redesign by now
I’d love a small crossover like this but yea the design is ancient
It’s getting one with the 2022 version! It looks nice and sporty, I would get that one if I hadn’t signed for this version already
@@rosesinamber Ah really? I’m glad to hear that it’s finally getting a redesign. It’s about time
Redesign in 2022
