      I honestly just said screw it. Disciplined myself with diet. Incorporated fasting to give my intestines a break for the first half.of the day. And trying to completely avoid things that aggravate me

      Cut out RAW FRUIT AND VEG but have them in smoothies without skins same with vegetables soup every single day and very small amount of red, white meat, nuts are very seldom, barely chocolate and crisps(takeaways all junk) I barely have dairy I swapped dairy milk for oat milk and the only other liquids I have is water NO CARBONATED SUGARY DRINKS and I belly dance for an hour per day alongside plenty of walking trust me this really helps your gut try it for even a week and tell me this doesn't work!! Major improvements!! 🥰 Hope this helps some, remember we are all different it may work for some it may not but it works for me ❤️

    I've had crohns for 50 years. The one true statement about crohns is that what works for 1 person may not work for another. You can be in remission for 20 years then bam...a flare up. In my experience gut resting with limited fasting has worked best when having a flare up.

      @@TheVicdub I would certainly tell you my experience and advise you on this crappy disease but on this forum that would be difficult. You can email me at fredmoseley61@gmail.com and I will try to answer any questions you have and try to help with any fears you have. Also if your on facebook there are many forums you can get on there that people will help you with and they will answer your questions and provide advice very quickly. It really makes a huge difference having someone to talk to about any chronic disease especially one like crohns.

    Great video again and ur looking much better. There's a dude on youtube called heal your gut guy and he's amazing. You should check him out if your med free as this guy has the most logical healing process i've saw to date. Imflamation is just an injured gut and our immine system is working properly, there's just an underlying problem in the gut and its the gut microbiome thats out of sync. Once you address getting rid of the bad guys and repopulate with good bacteria then ur onto a winner. Bone broth, spore probiotics and a carnivore diet all helps. Check him out man, even just for a nosey! 👍

    • @GUTINSTINCT
      @GUTINSTINCT  5 лет назад +2

      Hi Mark! Thank you for the comment :) I will definitely check him out - the logic to healing your gut makes definite sense and I've got a RUclips video up from last year where I meet with a Dentist who explains the importance of microbiome etc. However, bone broth and carnivore diet is the exact opposite of what I do (each to their own and everyone and every body is different!). I approach my gut with no meat, no dairy, avoid ultra-processed food, lots of fibre and whole foods! Will definitely check him out though as good to broaden my knowledge :) Thank you!! Lx

      sofia pirnia Hi, I was diagnosed in September and haven't started medication yet as I wanted to try and get it under control through diet etc, although I'm better than I was I still can't do things i want to do! I've had blood tests and inflammation is high so the choice has kind of been made for me to start azathioprine so atm I'm going through the steps to get there. I do and don't want to go on medication so I know where you are coming from X

      Hi Sofia! I have another video about 'Why I Stopped Taking Medication' which you may find useful/interesting for now, but I can definitely also consider doing a video on my own personal journey to successfully becoming medication free. Always hesitant because it's different for everyone and I am not a medical trained professional but can always offer my own experience :)

    @GUT INSTINCT Just found ur channel. Your hair loss might also be due to ur body not absorbing B Vitamins anymore. Look into Vitamins thru a drip. It will probably be the best way for somebody with IBD to absorb vitamins.

    Can you eat and drink (apart from alcohol) whatever you want when on azathioprine or have you still got to avoid trigger foods? I really want my coffee back lol!

    • @GUTINSTINCT
      @GUTINSTINCT  5 лет назад

      Hi Jade! I was really lucky in that I could eat and drink whatever I wanted, alcohol and coffee included. However, not everyone is the same, and I've spoken to a lot of people who still have to be very careful with what they put into their body - even on medication (like Azathioprine). I would always recommend to be conscious of what you consume (both solids and liquids) and do what is best for your body. Sometimes it's advice from your GP and sometimes it's a bit of trial and error. Good luck! Lx

    To start with you are looking good. I am sixty and have had crohns since I was in my twenty's I have had a bowel resection and take Humira and Imran 250mgs a day. I have no arm pit hair very little chest air and leg hair that Imran is hell. back in the seventy's and the eighty's there was not much the doctors could do for me so I started smoking cannabis and had instant relief and every time I had to stop to get a job I would get sick. buy the time I was in my late forty's the job I had been on for fifteen years started doing random drug testing so I had to stop with in five years I had to have a bowel resection. now I can not work and I am trying to get my disability and if I were to stop taking my meds the doctor would stop seeing me and put In my file that I am none complanate witch would kill my disability case. good luck and stay on top of it.
