I learned almost all those things on roller skates and on ice 4 months except for the mohawk.. my ice skating instructor told me I took too long, he can't teach but one olympic figure skating coach helped me with those skills. I practiced 3 sessions, one was figures, the other practice was crossovers and the 3rd one was one foot spins abd Basic 3 to 4 skills in 3.5 months 2018 and Brian Orser said I did good 😊, so that is what counts. You are doing well, you have aptitudes for ice skating in what level are you and how old are you now??
I'm doing ice skating for 2,5 months now and I'm currently learning salchow (it's 2 weeks now still didn't get it) And sometimes I become really upset with my progress but your video made me feel really great! It made me remember that all will come with time. Thank you for sharing your experience!
ahh!! oh my your progress is so good! I'm also taking lessons AND I WAS SHOCKED cuz I saw myself at the background with my coach huhu it's so embarrassing TT BUT SEEING YOU PROGRESS SO FAST IS MOTIVATING.keep it up!!🧡🧡
@@camilleannison aww thanks but unfortunately I switched places so I'm currently taking lessons at sm megamall BUT HOPEFULLY WE COULD SEE EACH OTHER AGAIN:))
Omg I never knew you had your own channel! Im that curly haired girl in 7:29 Youve done really well for the past 6 months :D, and I actually got inspired by you so I tried doing beginner spirals as well but I failed xD Also you earned yourself a new subscriber!
I’ve been taking figure skating classes on and off for about 1.5 years and I haven’t had classes in over 6 months due to certain circumstances :( I just went to a public skate session to skate for the first time in over 6 months and I was just super happy to be back on the ice! I used to do group sessions but they were honestly pretty horrible. Each class was about an hour long but I basically only got taught for like 5 minutes and barely had any space to practice because there were so many people. I’m my group, there were about 15 people of varying levels and only 2 instructors, so yeah, I don’t think I progressed nearly as much as I think I could have. :/ Good news is that I talked to my parents about it and now we’re looking into private lessons at a different ice rink! I’m super excited and looking forward to it! You’re video is giving me extra motivation too!
Same goes for my public lessons,we are 10 people in a group and we have 5 groups on the ice... Sadly in my country there are no private lessons....i have more than enough money for it but we dont have private lessons...it sucks
i just started group lessons about 2 months ago and i loveee it sm. im finally getting my own skates at the end of the week and im so excited i cant think about anything else rn
been a silent viewer ever since, idk but I'm really happy with the improvement that you've made for the past 6 months!! I feel like I wanted to try it too! 🥺❤️🔥
Honestly u are amazing! For some reason I was rushed bc we have different classes depending on how good u are and I’m now in a bridge class and I’ve already had to learn my waltz jump and I’ve only been learning figure skating for 3 months 😭😭😭 ur so smooth on the ice though and even tho this was a year ago I’m sure ur rlly good now so imma sub
It makes me so happy seeing other people excel at thing I want to do because I took lessons and the rink I go to has summer camps for figure skating and I wanted to do it but it was really expensive and another problem was I have divorced parents so they both work a lot and I can’t drive so I really can’t reach the first step to my goal at the moment 😊🤷🏻♀️ it’s ok though
hi! I'm 13, and I've been doing figure skating lessons for about 10 classes now (basic 5/6). I just wanted to know what skates you have! My coach advised me that I need more ankle support on my skates and I wanted yours (or anyone else's) advice! , Thanks :D best of luck to you on your skating!! ❤
I am so scared of falling... After learning few years,my progress still very slow....... Even cant make a good forward crossovers, but backward crossover is much easier than the forward one.. Really want to give up :(
Me too gurl. I have a major fear of falling, it hurts but I get up and try again and it's rewarding when I do get it. And maybe you might find some other thing is better for you or skating isn't your jam and that's okay, don't force yourself to do it if you don't like it. I wish you well on your journey
I would love to do many things including figure skating but i don't live close to a rink at all plus i already do horse riding (already did France championship twice) and i started taekwondo recently.
just started my very first lesson today!! it’s actually a rlly short lesson time which annoys me- it’s only 45 minutes every wednesday for 8 weeks. i’m 14 and i have rollerblades so i’m gonna practice on those a lot during the week too probably! do u have any tips?
do you take private lessons? i feel a bit discouraged because i keep seeing adult skaters who progressed really fast all say they started private lessons from the start, but they cost so much money compared to group lessons
Can I ask a question? May I know if the ice rink pass is included to the enrolment fee? Or being enrolled gives you some benefits, like membership or something?
I think I’m going to start figure skating lessons in September because my rink is have learn to skate group lessons. All I know how do is skate forward. So is that a good thing to join??
I don’t do figure skating, but ballet and I really like seeing your progress even tho I have never done figure skating, but it seems like you got pretty good in such a short period of time 🫶🧸. Btw I know I’m a little late to this video, but I wanted to comment :)

Idk where she bought her skates but the brand is Jackson and they are in pretty much every skating store. Hope it helps❤❤
do you have any tips for beginners starting out ?? xx
Also should I buy my figure skates before starting the lessons??
