As a figure skater I can say right now that it really sucks. But mirai could actually look really pretty without makeup! Shes really naturally pretty

I have to say, we are! Most people in our arena and at competition's is willing to help.
You can just walk up to a girl in the changing room and just ask for some help with your hair and 70-80 percent of the time they are willing to help.
Just wanted to let you know.

You can’t if you don’t want the shinies to fall off. Instead hand washing or steaming is an option. (At least in figure skating)

I just love how much she loves her sport. Like she wasn’t like “armpit hair is gross and you should shave it” she was like “people would make a big deal about hairy armpits instead of my skating and I want them to remember my skating so I shave” that to me just truly made an impact even if it was just a small little comment
made me sad tho lol like the fact that she has to do that cause she knows people would focus on that instead of her talent and skating whereas men are allowed to have body hair.

there’s a really big food court called the Anaheim Packing district in Anaheim, California that sells boba inside those light bulb cups. The bulbs hold a lot of boba so I’m guessing she wants a lot of volume to hold her juice, also it’s aesthetically pleasing lol

Mirai Nagasu is the first American woman to land the triple axel at the Olympics. Tonya Harding landed it at US nationals but not at the Olympics. There are only three women who landed it at the Olympics: Mirai, Midori Ito, and Mao Asada. There’s actually only around 10 women who have successfully landed a triple axel.

There have been numerous attempts and some have successfully landed it at practice, but they only start really counting it once it’s landed at a scored competition. Love these videos so much! It's so interesting to see how daily routines are for people in different professions. I'd love to see some more common professions as well like accountants, lawyers, stay at home moms, etc. Even men would be interesting to see.

I think it will help people see that there's so many others like them as well, and that life is not always glamorous and about training, hair, makeup, etc. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but I think most of the population would be able to relate better with those more common daily professions. But it's just all in fun anyways and nice to see a glimpse of the other side 😋

Mirai is the first figure skater I’ve ever looked up to because the first time I ever watched the Winter Olympics was in 2018 and she was my favorite! I was in elementary school so I always accidentally called her Moriah!
This is like one of the few videos I haven’t skipped through in the past while . She’s so precious
I guess I didn't really realize that skaters don't always wear the sparkly tight leotards, it was super cool to see people figure skate in 90's clothes. When I usually think of skating I think of the olympics and tight costumes, or Disney on ice
Riley Tavernit we always wear black. I had black leggings and tops at least 5 of them.
Those costumes are just competition costumes, but show costumes can be absolutely anything.

i'm a fencer but i used to dance and skate. not gonna lie, skating costumes are the most annoying things ever. and tutus, oh god, they just fall apart. but when it comes to fencing gear, that stuff can take quite a bit of crap. thankfully you can wash most of your fencing gear cuz you have to wear literally five layers of it and you sweat. a lot.
