      Thanks! I cannot reveal the exact location to maintain some privacy for the residents, but it's a private cabin community up in No. Utah. Stu lives there and basically saves the day with his snowcatting, especially this season. He does some things for pay, but also just helps out constantly. More vids coming soon! Thank you for watching!!

    I was hoping to see the snowblower in action. You need to buy some Yankum ropes. They work a lot better than a chain. They make big ropes for farm equipment just like that.

    • @NTM2009
      @NTM2009 Год назад

      Kinetic ropes are great but in that case they would have spent way longer jerking on tractor then they did this way. Snow was just too deep and tractor too heavy. Not worth jerking on it when high centered and tires not helping

    • @samlovescars34

      I think Stu is looking at different options currently! Thank you for watching!!

    • @machine7767

      Kinetic ropes are also great for towing because they absorb the jerks that happen when towing a vehicle out.

    Saw the thumbnail, thought how do they get a bi-directional stuck? I have farmed witha few of those for years and plowed snow with them commercially. Then you said 400 inches!! lol I get it now! we have only had one slide down a hill when plowing an overflow soccer field and pulled it out otherwise we can just wiggle the machine and push the snow away with the tires and get down to ground and drive out. That probably won't work on 400 inches and up big hills. That 145 with the 3 speeds sucks compared to the newer 6070 and a 7 speed, way better options. He should have locked that front diff the whole way and hit the rear as needed. I know I used to forget about both at times but they help tons in situations like this, especially if you have someone towing and turning you a bit. You don't really have to worry about the diff locks on on a machine like that in this much snow it is not going to damage anything. On dry pavement and both locked, bad idea. We have one 9ft schulte blower like that for a jd8530

    So you had to drag a tractor to the top of a mountain to unbury cars (with the snow blower) so that they could leave the mountain, after he cleared the road with the blower? Cool! I want one of those but four season capable, with the ability to float and cross icy waters and rivers.

    • @samlovescars34
      @samlovescars34  Год назад +1

      Exactly. And that would be nice... Some kind of river-fording snowcat. I suppose it exists, basically, called the Sherp, albeit without tracks. Slap tracks on a sherp, and there you have it! Thank you for watching!!
