Thank goodness the commands are working better than last time.
They have been great for over a year as long as you did not have a heavy accent. Such as saying "Hunk" instead of "Honk".

The reason you can’t use voice commands while youtube is open is probably because the microphone will pick up the sounds from the RUclips video
Mercedes S classes from the 90s (W140 model) had driver profiles that adjusted the wheel, seats and mirrors - this optionally included the rearview mirror but I heard that some folk tried adjusting the rearview mirror by hand and that broke a rather expensive part to replace. Probably the reason that auto-makers don't automate rearview mirrors.
I didn't realise they had improved this much despite owning the car, I'll have to give them a try more often.
Your speech showing up in the screen way later when you said it is 100% cause of internet speed. Voice commands use Cloud AI to recognize what you said, so no internet no AI.

You could try saying “change/adjust seats” or “change profile”
The fact you can't close the glove box with voice commands but you can open it seems pointless, if anything it should be the other way around so robbers or strangers can't open the glovebox easily.
Jack can put a passcode in to unlock the glovebox so it's really secure. If a burglarer decides to use the voice commands it'll still ask for a pin.

I've got a Scottish accent and I'm amazed just how well my Model Y understands me. Usually I have no hope. It's not perfect of course. Setting the navigation destination by voice is still very much hit or miss (mostly miss).

I'm pretty amazed it's recognizing actual words now.. mine is absolutely terrible. My record is about 100 attempts to get it to understand 'wipers off'. I wonder if it's a 2019/2021 version difference.

the lock locked the door as it is the only lock command the car has.
open would need an item to work as there is a number of car items it can open.
