Hey man! Thanks for the kind comment - I actually decided to pursue industry software engineering straight out of college. I have worked in various different sectors...crypto, trading, big tech, energy
Hey man. To be honest this is an amazing question. Someone definitely read my application in-depth, because I was assigned an interviewer with the exact niche research interests I put down on my application. However, the questions that my interviewer asked were rather generic actually. But in my feedback email the interviewer wrote "The main place you fell down was in not being able to recall your proposed research topic or being able to discuss ideas of your own that you might like to research." That feedback implies that he looked over my application. So tldr, maybe. lol.
Hey I was thinking of applying myself - what sort of grades did you achieve at St Andrews / Do you have any tips for a academic CV, this video was really appreciated - also when did you apply ?
Hey thanks so much for the comment! Definitely apply if you want to - my friend is now doing a PhD there and loves it. At St Andrews I had a very high first (probs one of the highest in my CS class), but you don't need that - just any first should suffice. CV - I didn't do anything special, I just sent the one that I use to apply for companies.
thanks sm for this video! very helpful :) what are you doing now?

Did you get into Department of Computer Science and Technology or Engineering at Cambridge as a student ?
Valuable information! 🙌
I am really glad!
Hey do you know if the guy interviewing had looked over your application ie did he ask you questions about things you mentioned in your application ?
