👇Extra interview tips (if interview task is to summarize a machine learning paper and present some slides): 1. Put the important equations from the paper on your slides for the interview, so you could refer to them if asked 2. Examples of questions that the interviewer(s) may ask: - Would variable A increase/ decrease if we change variable B? - What does the equation imply? - Give an example in real life of the noise variable (or any other variable mentioned in the paper)? These interview questions aim to check the interviewee’s understanding beyond what’s written in the paper directly. Therefore, I suggested in this video to work out the equations in the paper in advance to ensure I understand the key concepts, and think about the real life applications. How I approached this type of mathematical questions (if I don’t immediately know the answer) is to state where I could infer the answer ie. Which slide and equation, explain what the variables and equations on my slides represent, communicate my thought process clearly and eventually work out the answer. Hope this helps! 😀
OH THANKS GOD. madam you don't know how I screamed when youtube recommended this video of your chanel to me. I got so sxcited to see that there is one person that can really help me and give me the exact information that I really wanted thanke for sharing these perfect information
Hope you found this video helpful! 🌟❤ I'm going to film part 2 of this video right now to cover the application process in more detail and answer the frequently asked questions from my supportive subscribers :)
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I'm applying for the same course this year. I would higly appreciate the tips for choosing the collage before the course deadline. Thanks again!!
Tips on choosing a college are covered in Part 2, which has been released! Part 2 Link ► ruclips.net/video/sDbPEUZGBTs/видео.html Best of luck with your application! 🍀
The motivation for the course essay is in fact the personal statement essay, which I've clarified in Part 3 Part 3 Link ► ruclips.net/video/V93bCuLLVqo/видео.html Tips for personal statement ► 9:58 of this video Hope this helps! 😀
A very informative video! Your tips are helpful and practical. I enjoy your presentation with the relaxing music background, and it’s very cute that you still proceeded with your video despite the limited lighting due to the sunset😂. Keep up your good work! I look forward to your next video!
Thank you so much! :) I'm very pleased that you liked the presentation, animation (for example Mr. Lamp at 12:58) and music, since I took a long time to edit XD
Hi Giga, could you please share what papers will be given for applicants to read before the interview? For example, whose papers are mostly asked? I am preparing for MPhil in MLMI this year. I love your videos so much!
Thank you for this helpful video! Your advice is really actionable and practical. You are also an example of how we can change fields into engineering even though our background is not strictly in engineering. Keep up the good work and I look forward to your next video!
Thank you! Agreed, it's challenging but rewarding to do this master's without an engineering background. I'll do another video to share what I did to learn coding and maths for my master's and to prepare for a career in tech :)
Hi! Can you tell us which subdomains of Machine Learning the papers are from? Which you or your friends encountered? I try to figure out how much knowledge they demand from a prospective student. Thanks for the great videos!
Thank you very much for this helpful and detailed video! Could you please tell me how long we applicants are expected to get a decision after the interview?
@@GigaGab If it is convenient for you, could you plz tell me roughly how many interviewed applicants got accepted in your year, especially the NLP track?
Good question, I'll cover more in the next video. A quick answer: coding skills have to be strong since the homework and research project involve coding. More importantly though, is to understand the "why"'s such as data structure and CS theories, since it takes longer to learn such concepts compared to coding languages. Hope this helps :)
