That was just uber cool, mate. Looking forward to sending in my application by the deadline. I'm intending to email you on various doubts I have on the form.
Thank you for this! I’ve just been accepted for my MPhil at Cambridge for Michaelmas 2021, so it was nice to see somebody else talk about the same process!
Ahhhh I have just applied to Cambridge for Masters from Durham BA and I chose Newnham and Pembroke. Thank you for making this video! You are awesome. Good luck with your studying and I hope you get an offer!
Hi, love your channel, it’s very informative and helpful! I’m an American doing my undergraduate work at university here in the states, I just attend a pretty standard state research university and I’ve been looking into doing a masters at Cambridge, but even if I have excellent grades is there really even a chance to get in to a top uni like Cambridge if I don’t attend a top US university? Or is it highly unlikely since I don’t attend an Ivy League type university?
Hi. Thank you for the video! I am interested in applying for a Master's in the future but just wanted to know how you woud go about choosing a supervisor if you haven't met them in person before? Thank you!
Hi! I think the most important thing about choosing a supervisor is the work they do. You want to be with a supervisor that does work that really interests you. Having a look at their previous work and publications would help you with that. Once you find someone that interests you, you can approach them and maybe have a Zoom chat about doing a Master's with them and at the same time see what they're like. And try doing a general background check because that might tell you a bit about what they're like as a person. Hope that helps!
Thanks for the helpful video! I have a question - currently pursuing undergrad in natural sciences outside the UK, in my university the BA is 4 years and only the latter two years are counted towards your degree grade. Do you think Cambridge would care too much about the first two years of grades? Since I performed relatively poorly in my second year due to personal circumstances but have otherwise maintained consistent firsts and high II.i grades. Thanks!
They'll look at your whole application and you can explain the extenuating circumstances. Most important grade you'll get is final one, also research experience will be helpful (assuming you're applying for science)
Thank you! I'm looking to apply for Cambridge for my masters and wanted to ask how early did you start asking supervisors if you could undertake research with them? is September too early?
Hi, thanks for your videos, I'm considering to apply for oxbridge this year, and would like to know does it affect if one got admitted whether they apply for a scholarship or not? Thanks :)
@@IlyasCambridgeAdvice Nice! I personally did not take Biology as it wasn’t really teached to me with the same passion with which Physics or Maths, for example, were shown to me.
@@IlyasCambridgeAdvice thank you..A guy I met at Cambridge yesterday said to me that interviews are not usually required for taught Master's admissions. He was an economics teaching fellow at Cambridge

You don't need to have gone to ivy League to get in

Depends when the deadline is! I that I contacted my supervisor about a month or two before the deadline. I'd say there's no harm in contacting early.

Whether you apply for a scholarship won't affect your chances of being accepted
Sir
How to apply for the funding?
what is Cambridge 's CV?
I just visited Cambridge University today!!!! It was so Christmasy there. I visited Jesus college too
First comment! : ) Seems like Biology was your favourite subject at school!
Interestingly it wasn't my favourite A-level! Will explain this in a video in the future!
@@IlyasCambridgeAdvice Ohh, which subject was it then?
@@MarioFabelo Probably maths or chemistry!

does the admission process involve an interview ?
It will vary depending on the course but I imagine it often does

@@magtazeum4071 Oh that's interesting! I'm applying for a research based master's though so might be different.
