Jinkx's makeup had issues that season but her Dia Delos Muertos was, and still is EVERYTHING!! I loved that she was the most picked on kid at school that entire season but still went on to serve regardless.

as a Mexican I don't mind other people appreciating our culture, but it always confuses me how *_some_* people get praised for it while many others get accused of cultural appropriation and canceled.
Nobody ever asks us what *_we_* think. But Jinkx serving riggory was very Mexican politician, I love.
Bianca is wearing a different dress too. Production wanted her to wear the tight pink latex dress as seen in the video, but she brought a backup dress because she correctly predicted that the latex was a wardrobe malfunction waiting to happen.

Promo for season one drag race was part of my college internship at LOGO. It was a total non-project compared to the other properties that summer. Just, “Play with this graphics package until you gotta leave, kid.” What I would give to go back now. We had no idea! I have a flash drive somewhere of me trying to generate enough glitter in post.

The best MOMENT from any promo is Bianca ripping the pages out of the book in the little library backdrop. It's hard to remember anything else so specific from any other season, aside from the overall vibe/mood they give off
My cousin used to be OBSESSED with RuPaul's talk show from the 90s. For her, the RuPaul focused trailers were what got her into drag race! She was like OMG I can watche her in something again! And honestly because of that I got into the show too

I was a junior in high school when this show started. I remember the first 3 being a bit budget in terms of effects and whatnot, but then season 4 aired and it just exploded in popularity and funding.
I'm really happy to have witnessed this show from the beginning and to see all of the talented queens the world has to offer.
