15:53 George McFly's house. Thank you for the awesome video!
Absolutely! My pleasure. Thank you
Great job ! A personal favorite of mine and been putting off the locations and glad you did it justice . Amazing you got inside the gym and locker room . I’m convinced the interiors were inside the buschnell house as well , they walk out the kitchen back door to play basketball . Also I think the hardware store inside still has the metal air conditioner thing that can be seen in film on the wall even the rest of store has changed . Excellent work !
Kinda stoked adam watches 80s life too!
I totally agree Adam, both locations appear to match up.
Adam, thank you so much! Means a lot to me. I had to rush this one a bit, and wish I could have spent a bit more time on it. I'm still pretty happy with it though. The Gym and Lockeroom were non negotiable for me, and they weren't easy. I put in some time to get into those. Ha. Thank you again for checking Out my video.
I love how the locker room looks identical to when it was used in filming! That place is a time capsule.
Right?? It's crazy
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body.
"Now you stick with that!... everything else is cream cheese, great game there scotty.. (walks away smacking his gum)
Coach was such an inspiration. lol
I always assumed the guy's name was 'Sydney'. Coach Finstock must have lost big. LOL.
I want to eat some Kentucky Fried Chicken now.

I watched this movie so many times as a kid in the 80's and early 90's even. Over and over, it was for sure a favorite movie of my childhood.
Love the “whoops” at the end. 😄😁 I can’t believe that made it into the movie. Fortunately it’s hard to see and most people wouldn’t notice it.
What is the whoops moment??
@@danooch1137 there is a guy in the bleachers at the end of the basketball game that pulls his wanker out out of his pants and it made it past the censors. I didn’t believe it until I confirmed it myself.
@@danooch1137 The extra in the background has their fly down at the end of the movie in the stands. It was rumored that it was a guy with his penis out but it is actually a girl who had her fly down and zipped it back up.
I also love the house connection to Back to the Future. Very cool!
Absolutely. Thank you so much
So cool!!
Thank you for doing this video. From the 8 year old me that still lives in the mind of my 46 year old body.
It seems like they really only used a few filming locations but it felt like it was the whole town. Great work as usual.
Right? Pretty crazy. Thank you so much
Love it & Nobodys details it like you !!! Great job & great movie its crazy how its not aged/changed very much in 37 yrs.
Hey Kurt, I get your "Whoops" at 18:02. Another movie mystery at why the guys pants and fly were open. 😂😂
Haha. Thought I would make it Subtle
The "guy" is actually a girl...😁
The 'girl' must have been stroking thin air then😅
Man, I loved that movie as a kid. Haven't seen it in year's though. I might try and watch it this weekend.
Thank you so much for your Location Videos. For me, born in 1973, living in Germany, all 80s Movie are holy Masterpieces of my Childhood. Your Videos bring back all the feelings I had in Cinema, when I saw the movies the first time. Thank you 1000x.
One day, I will visit all locations. Maybe, under your Leadership?! Best regards from Germany.
I spent my high school years living in South Pasadena, graduating a couple of years before the movie was filmed. There is one scene where Scott and someone else are walking out of the hardware store, and if you look in the background, you can see two people heading into a store. That was my friend and I walking into our friend's photography store, Castle Photography which is long gone. That was my half a second of movie fame. In fact we took our teenage daughters to Southern California last March and I showed them the sites from Back to the Future, Teen Wolf, and others in the area.
haha nice! I'm in a couple seconds of the movie Cousins, standing next to Ted Danson, back in 1988 :)
I'm sitting here in Germany Im Schwarzwald (it's 2.30 at night) and I see your new video. And then the filming locations of one of my favorite film series. I say many many thanks. I wish you and your family only the best. Greetings from Freiburg in the Black Forest. 😀😀😀😀😀❤❤❤❤
Geil gell
@@Carissma00 Ja, ich kann gar nicht genug davon bekommen :) :)
Like always great research great matchups
One of my favorite movies. Thank You!!!!
My pleasure. Thank you
You are officially my favorite filming locations guy youtuber dude
Awesome!!! Thank you!
Awwwwe Man!!!! One of my fat movies of All-Time!!! Thanks Kurt.
Thanks for doing these filming location videos!
My pleasure. Thank you
great movie from my childhood. awesome job!!
Thank you so much
When I was a teen (about 25 years ago) we knew the janitor of Lennox Middle school. On Saturdays the janitor would open up the gym and we would play basketball there. I had no clue teen wolf was filmed there. Thanks for the video!!!
Dang, I wish it was that easy for me to get in. Haha. Thank you for watching
Great job with this one! I can honestly say that movies are just not the same as they were in the 80's. We were very lucky to have grown up in that era. We just didn't know how awesome and rad it really was.
All your videos are great but I especially enjoyed this one. So much was unchanged! Great job.
Thank you so much
SWEET !!! Been waiting for this one 🙌
Awesome. Enjoy. Thank you for watching
Great job once again Kurt 👍
Thank you so much!!
Awesome content thanks I'm so happy for your time. I always wanted this
Thank you so much
The few times a year I'm lucky enough to get to L.A. my entire stay is based around something I've seen on this channel. Thank you for all your hard work and entertaining videos.
I cannot thank you enough! You put out such fantastic videos!
Awww thank you so much. That means so much to me
Great video as always. Crazy how you just know when watching these movies that they were filmed in South Pasadena. So many great movies filmed within a few blocks of each other, or the same blocks.
Right? My wife and I are always watching movies and then one of us will say "Pasadena"
Yes yes yes Kurt, absolutely amazing. I can definitely relate to this. Not only is this just one of my fav 80s movies I've actually been to most of these locations when I visited LA back in 2011. Obviously not so intense as this video as I didn't have time but I did this same walk on Bushnell ave when Scott is walking home with booth. Fantastic video mate you have filmed everything perfect here. Biblical. Can't wait for the next one
Just to add. When I went to visit the E.T house I visited that Tony's liquor place on the way and yes it was closed when I went there also 🤔
Awesome. So glad you enjoyed it. And I'm so glad you've been able to visit these spots. I guess Tony's is a hard to get into club
Boof.
Thank you for making a great video!!! I.....LOVE....THIS....MOVIE. Such a sweet story showcasing a lot of the things a teenager has to go through, in addition to being a wolf. I always thought Stiles was the coolest! And Harold Howard was a great father. Very satisfying to see a lot of the locations are still intact. Oh, and Boof was a total babe.
Great stuff, thank you
A couple things:
I first watched Teen Wolf on an RCA video disc system around summer of 1986. The video disc was a vinyl record in a cartridge that you put into a massive player unit. My first experience with “home video”.
A couple years ago I looked up the van surfing scene from Teen Wolf and realized it’s possible that the Pic n Save in that scene could be one that my parents would go to when we lived in North Hollywood.
Anyway, cool video. I like the detail about Lorraine’s house being used in this movie too.
I know exactly what you’re talking about because in 1986 I was staying at the Ronald McDonald House & they had a RCA Video Disc CED Player & I watched Splash on the huge player & I remember you had to insert the plastic shell into the player to flip it to side two.I had almost forgotten about that until I read your post. Thanks
@@ChrisRoth1972 Awesome! I mean, aside from the reason you had to be there. But yeah that technology didn’t last long. I watched several movies for the first time that way: The Last Starfighter, Disney’s Robin Hood, Ralph Bakshi’s Fire and Ice. A few months later we moved and didn’t use it much. The new local video store was all VHS so we had to rent VHS player when we’d want to watch movies.
Hey kurt hats off to you for your hard work and your dedication, you find exactly the same spot. Keep doing it. 👍👍👍
Incredible! Nothing in the gym has changed in over 35yrs. I was a kid when i saw this movie and loved it! I sure never forgot Stylez!
Love you n your work you just take me back to things I haven’t thought about in so long lol
Aww man. It's my pleasure. Thank you so much
I really love teen wolf one of my all time favourite movies I love the soundtrack and still play it regularly today a really fantastic video as always Kurt really enjoyed it 👍😎
Man I Love these , they really show the hands of time at work. Marty McFly was an epic truck surfer and even did a back flip on that old ice cream truck
I grew up watching this film. Thank you for the tour!
awesome video
Thank you!!
Loved this film when it came to the cinemas in England. Another great job of finding all the locations. It's so good when you find that they have hardly changed. 👍👏👏
One of my favorite movies of all time! Excellent job man
Thank you so much for this video. Saw this movie on HBO back in the day I was like 9. Saw it so many times. One of my favorites. Good times.
Outstanding video. Amazing that the gym is still the same after all these years!
Outstanding work! Incredible how the interior and exteriors of the gym/hall were in different schools! Great work showing that. I love going on google maps at the same time as watching and seeing the neighbourhoods there as well. Thank you so much!!
Well do my friend, well done!
In one version of the movie, a bunch of dogs start chasing Scott on the sidewalk at 11:07 after he says goodbye to Boof. I don't know why but it must have been cut out of the main version, which is too bad as it's one of my favorite scenes.
Thank you so much for making this, too bad you couldn't go into one of the schools. Love the scene in the basement washroom where Scott has to hide wolfing out from the principal... and running through the halls, slowing down as he passes the classrooms. This movie is my childhood.
Thank you! Love your videos man. I’ve never been to cali but you’re really blessed to live in a place with so many iconic filming locations. Your videos bring movie heads together. God Bless you
This move was so mint when I was a kid. I watched it countless times. I know have the DVD for both Teen Wolf films. I might just watch them now!
I have always liked that corner and row of stores to his dad's shop and now I finally know where it is. The shots of the school make me want to visit my high school which I graduated from in 1985, but it would never be the same without all the friends and people who were with me back then. Also, a big thank you for NOT re-creating the "whoops!" scene at the end!
I love this movie
Me too
Great job! Keep 'em coming!
Thank you so much
Great episode mr.Kurt! I don't know if that has been pointed somewhere below in the chat but the house from 15:53 has been also used in Back to the future movie as George McFly's house.
Cheers
I've read that Teen Wolf and Back to the Future we're filming on that street in Pasadena with Lorraine McFly's house at the same time. Eric Stoltz was later fired from Back to the Future and replaced with Michael J Fox. Back to the Future then did reshoots with Michael on the same street. Great job with this video as always.
LOVE this movie! Amazing job Kurt this was incredible.
Awesome work. Loved it🇮🇪
Dude you are killing it out there and btw these waves are mine!!
I like your videos because you get to the point, yeah there is some joking which is fine but I love how you get to the locations and get on with it, there are way to many tubers that do film locations and it takes 30 damn minutes to get on with it. ....new subscriber
Great filming location! loved seeing inside the gym etc and think it's great that so many places haven't changed at all
Thank you so much for making this
Two blocks west of the hardware store on Mission & Fremont is the Carrow's used in the original Terminator where Sarah Conner worked. I was working at a Straw Hat pizza on Fair Oaks and Monterey Rd in South Pas at the time the Terminator was being filmed.
I probably annoyed you as a kid when you were working at that Straw Hat. Used to go in there all the time for the arcade.
@feetus_maximus Come to think of it, there was a group of schoolboys that would park their bikes out on the sidewalk in front of the entrance.
Funny story, the aforementioned kids, probably between ages 10 to 12, would play arcade after school, especially on Fridays. I would get out of school at 2 pm. on Fridays, I was attending CSUN. There was a particular kid who wore glasses that the others would always pick on. Voltron was the big cartoon at the time. Well, needless to say, the kids would tease the kid with glasses by calling him "Faggotron". I felt sorry for the kid, so one day, I gave him a free soda. A few minutes later, I went to straighten out the arcade area, and low and behold, the kid with glasses was pestering all the other kids and going on and on...
I grabbed the soda cup from him and said to him, "Get out of here Faggotron!" The other kids started cheering 👏 🤣.
Greetings from Sunland-Tujunga!🎉
Its amazing how things change the landscape people cars and on and on....
What perfect timing I was just watching this movie yesterday
Hope you enjoyed. Thank you for watching
It’s amazing because of all the filming locations that I have seen, the Teen Wolf locations for the most part look like they are still in 1985!!!!
I just watched this again recently. I absolutely love it! Very cool Kurt! Thank you and Happy Halloween 🎃🖤🧡🖤🧡
Man you are on a roll!!! Keep it going!!
Thank you!!
Great memories Kurt! Keep up the good. Work and sharing the memories!!
Another great video you keep knocking it out the park. I lived in a small town and we had to drive to what I am thinking now is the first VHS rental place I can remember going to, no big chain just small mom and pops kinda thing. This is one of of or maybe the first movie wanting my mom to rent. It took a few tries of going to the store only a few copies and it was always rented out. So different from today when I can watch whatever whenever I want, yet not quite as exciting as seen that plastic case with a tape in it behind the box.
Another 80s pearl thank u for this beauty
Love your videos mate, respect from Scotland
On Mission Street in S.Pas, there was an actual hardware store in the location where the dad's in the movie was. The modern glass building you panned around to for the background shot across the street was a Security Pacific bank. The fabric store on the corner at the start of the block was still that same fabric store. There was a pet store (I think seen in the movie) and a bike shop in that same stretch. Got my first bike there ;) Tons of movies shot on Mission, El Centro and around the general area.
My family was the only ones that had a vcr in the 80's in our village, I would watch movies like this and re-tell them in class to the kids, they all thought I was some genius story teller
Awesome video 👌👍
Love this! Long live the 80s. ♥
Wasnt that Francis from Pee Wees Big Adventure?
Yes it is.
Absolutely
And one of the 3guys that paint from lepraucan
The junk scene at the end was always the best in cinematic history. I also love how Styles needs help from Scott in helping him find his doobage. I’m a wolf buddy!
Enjoyed that thankyou 👍
Shooting for moon Amy holland, that what’s I was hearing wen watching this love it great job
Big up Tujunga! Top of the food chain.
YES this is amazing, thanks so much for this!
I only learned a few years ago that Bushnell in South Pasadena for the Peeping Tom scene in "Back to the Future" was used in "Teen Wolf". Both 1985 Michael J. Fox movies! It's still a beautiful street.
I remember seeing "Teen Wolf Too" in the theater because I was too young to see "Flowers in the Attic" with my sister. Totally forgettable movie, "Teen Wolf Too", I mean. The only location I found for that one was Pomona College in Claremont.
Went to Montrose Bowl a handful of times in the 00s and early 2010s (birthday and wrap parties) and it looked EXACTLY like it did in the 80s. Still had the manual score-by-hand overhead projectors for bowling.
LOVVVVVVVVV THE FFFFKN HOLLOWEEN MUSIC IN THE INTRO
🙂 thank you
Tenn Wolfe Love. Movie Love my favorite one fan Big 💖💖💖💖⭐️🎶
OMG it is too hard to tell you which video is the best!!
Thank you so much!
great movie....great job!!! thanks!!!
I love your content Mate, big hugs from europe
Watching on VHS back years ago still love the phrase SHOOT IT FATBOY. and old Chubby with a smirk on his dial sunk it...
$6.49 for gas?!!! dude...thats insane!!
Depending how long ago he filmed this, it’s come down a bit. Was $6.49 at Chevron in my part of California about three weeks ago, now it’s down to $5.29 there. Some of the cheaper stations are about $4.99.
Still ridiculously high.
Great job
Awesome. Thank you!
I love Teen Wolf "Chubby" even for 80s standards looked way too old to play a teenager he looked like he was about 40 years old.
Haha. It's true
thank you brother
My pleasure. Thank you!!
Totally back to the future 10:48 nice research
The house with the stone and brick wall is also George McFly’s house!
Great video Kurt, I think I watched Teen Wolf before BTTF I don't know how that happened 😂
All that matters is you've seen both. Thank you!!
apparently i didnt pay attention to the locker room scene that much. its obvious now that it was filmed at a junior high since all the actors in the shower were towering over the shower head nozzles. they'd have to hunch over just to get their hair wet it was designed for shorter people
Haha. Right. Thank you for watching
Child of South Pas where this movie was filmed and many many others. Soo may movies I saw being filmed including this one in front of our house.
