Dirt can stick to the flux that remains. Also the flux can conduct a bit of current but only with high voltages. It is just good practice to clean it off.

Hi.. I have an asus rx470 4gb mining card that used to work then it suddenly shut down.. but after turning it off and turned it back on the card just lights blinks for less than a second and the fans just barely moves. I know its not a fuse issue but maybe on another component that might be shorted. Can you point me in the right direction? thank you
Nice job fixing that GPU man, keep it up. I have some questions about fixing GPUs. A friend of mine had a GTX 750 Ti, but one day he had a blackout at home. When he tried to turn on the PC, it didn't display any signal, so he bought another GPU and I asked him to give me his 750. After a couple of tests I've noticed that the GPU actually works because the PC starts up withouth problems, but there is not signal. I really want to fix it because where I live the components are too expensive. Do you have any clue of what could it be? Checking the back of the card I noticed that there is a resistor that has a black dot in the middle. Could it be the problem? I'd like to show you some pics of it.
i removed that component from the board and it was in short when i measured it outside but the card still has another short circuit, what do you suggest ? remove the remaining mosfets one by one until the short is gone ?
exact same model, RX 470 nitro plus 8 gb, do you have whats app ? i'm so sad i really need help :( , also which mosfet you want me to remove next the top from which side ?
do you mean the one to the side of the PCI-E 8 pin power connector or the opposite side ? i'm not sure what you mean by the "top one" cause it depends on how you are holding the board
Sorry to ask. If the GPU is not used for normal game play even for hours, but when it is used to play games for 5-10 minutes, the direct view does not appear (no display) what is the cause?
Nice video great job my friend!!! Let me ask you regarding a quadro fx3700, its temperature is really high during web-browsing and when i test it with heaven benchmark its temperature exceeds 110 celsius and the dsplay freezes. What would you suggest?
Bruh, so I had my asus rx580 sent to warranty for repair. And now it is crashing, 0 OC potential (I have to underclock for playing) and they said that it is working. I added some heatsinks on the vrm and only then I can play. The vrm was originaly bad, they've replaced 3 mosfets. It has 6 phases, I think that just half are working. When I play demanding games the vrm skyrocket to 90-120°C. What should I do?

Dirt can stick to the flux that remains. Also the flux can conduct a bit of current but only with high voltages. It is just good practice to clean it off.
sir, how to do you which is the mosfet no1, no2, no3 , no4 , no5 ?
Help.. My sapphire nitro+ rx580 all work fine except FAN and RGB no longer work.
Hi, How do u know which mosfet is number 1?
i have a amd radeon scheme,
@@Zettabitlab thx for answer, on what temp are u setting yout head gun?
@@marcel8362 360c, do not higher than that.
@@Zettabitlab thanks, because I have the same graphic card and no matter how much heat I put, mosfet wont desolder. Mayby u have an idea why
How did you know the right one of the MOSFET to remove in The power rails?
same question
the simple one is you must know where's first phase is...
CoRE- Fixpc so you started from the 1st phase and moved on
If it weren't the right one you would remove the 2nd phase MOSFET and so on?
I've watched the video again and again.
And i got one more question...
What if the power line is shorted to ground by other component like ceramic capacities!
I have a 3090 that I'm having issues with. Can you refer me to someone that can work on it or is it something you would be interested to work on?
How much do you charge to fix out of warranty video cards, or video cards with difficult no second hand warranty?
service charge depend on graphics card series, usually about 30% from second hand price.
Bought a defective palit gt 740 1gb gddr5 worth 4 dollars and when I powered it up no display fan is spinning but when I connect the vga to onboard it has display it seems the gpu is not detected even in the bios. I tried heating the chip but no luck
Any luck? Palit cards are just bad, my palit gtx1060 has the same issue. Never buying palit cards again.
bro i have msi gtx 970 i have this same issue ...can u help me?
I have a Sapphire RX 480 nitro+ that I believe has blown a fuse. Could you please tell what part# for the fuses? Or maybe what kind of fuse and how many amps they are. I've been searching the net but can't find any info.
I just not sure what I'm looking for.
just browse "smd fuse 10A 1808"
look at top mark ic, if 10 = 10A , 05=5A
@@Zettabitlab Thank you.
I’ve got an rx480 that gives picture before installing Radeon drivers. After drivers load it black screens. I feel it gets really hot around the mosfet area. Where do i start the diagnosis?
Sir what temperature did u use?
I want to ask, a gtx 1050ti that died still repairable??
When you say the Ampers was different(for the fuse's) how much the difference was?
backyard studio in rx use 10A fuse, it use 7A , but it just for temporar repair, then i chanhe again buy from alixprs 10a fuse.
Hi, I have Palit 3080 Gaming Pro 10GB. I wrongly connected +12V to speed signal of double fan socket and GPU died. Now motherboard don't detect GPU. But single fan and RGB LED works when power up.
I discovered the GPU. It has one Holtek HT50F52241 and one IS25WP080 and others.
Your opinion, which chip controls fans? and which begins communication with motherboard?
May my mistake damage main GPU chip?
Do i hope that repair it?
Please answer me.
Thanks for videos.
need ur help. have u ever encountered graphic cards crashing and leaving a blank colored screen. different colors everytime. is ther a way to fix it?
Reinier John there's a rgb spot broken on gpu, try to reflow it with bga rework. Whatbis your card series?
CoRE- Fixpc everything works sometimes. the fan check on trixx shows the fan not working but it works fine.
Have you over clocked? This happens with a too high clock.
@@sshep86 nope, set default clock.
i overclocked it once or twice but even before that it still crashes with mix colored screen. my gpu is sapphire rx 470 and its in auto OC. i tried looking on the pcb, some was dirty and some corroded. then i clean it THOROUGHLY with iso alchohol then dried in on the sun then it worked fine for a few days. then all of the sudden, it started crashing again. LOL
i have this feeling that every time that i dont use the gpu for a month or so, it will work for a few weeks or days. i have this problem for over a year now. hehe and im using the gpu right now. LOL
Hi.. I have an asus rx470 4gb mining card that used to work then it suddenly shut down.. but after turning it off and turned it back on the card just lights blinks for less than a second and the fans just barely moves. I know its not a fuse issue but maybe on another component that might be shorted. Can you point me in the right direction? thank you
У меня на плате rx470 отсутствует элемент q201 шестиножка. Находится там где разъем куллера с другой стороны. Подскажите, пожалуйста, что это?
Now I getting 6600xt powercolor problem same problem no detect/ no working. If you have some idea please advice
I'd like to show you some pics of it.
probably too late but,
He bricked the gpu
my nvidia 1050ti not displaying sudenly but its processor is heating while running but not displaying what u think ?
i removed that component from the board and it was in short when i measured it outside but the card still has another short circuit, what do you suggest ? remove the remaining mosfets one by one until the short is gone ?
Is your card same like this. Check for another fet, ussualy at top one.
exact same model, RX 470 nitro plus 8 gb, do you have whats app ? i'm so sad i really need help :( , also which mosfet you want me to remove next the top from which side ?
can you please help me sir :(
@@JR-ob7hz yap. Did you already check on the top one..
do you mean the one to the side of the PCI-E 8 pin power connector or the opposite side ? i'm not sure what you mean by the "top one" cause it depends on how you are holding the board
What could cause that? Overvolting for overlclocking or bad PSU?
bad psu, buy a good one with a good voltage regulator.
Or component failure might cause it too.
But it seems to be overclocking problem.
this happens mostly trying to overclock without knowledge of voltages, also a random bad generic psu without
security capabilities
Sorry to ask. If the GPU is not used for normal game play even for hours, but when it is used to play games for 5-10 minutes, the direct view does not appear (no display) what is the cause?
Nice video great job my friend!!! Let me ask you regarding a quadro fx3700, its temperature is really high during web-browsing and when i test it with heaven benchmark its temperature exceeds 110 celsius and the dsplay freezes. What would you suggest?
Did you ever clean up hsf from dust, and change with good paste.
Quadro max temp around 105-110 then it restart or hang.daily used about 70-85c
Thank you for the advic, one last question, what thickness should the thermal pads be? 2mm or 1mm?
@@AlexSBedini thermal pad fir vram, every vendor use 2mm thickness. But depend on space between hsf and vram/mosfet.
Thanks Dude...a thousand Times. Had the same issue.
How much did it cost ?
I mean the repair
What is the detail
type of the fuse.. it stated 10A..
Hi, I have an XFX 470 8GB which has display runs youtube videos even at 4k..but when i start a game it crashes/artifacts...tried with new bios other pc/drivers...could be a hi-mosfet which fails to deliver enough power to the chip when required?
What Temp you use for the heat gun ?
360c
how do you know ..that mosfet short..only guessing or what..please tell me sir..i want to learn about service vga
Hi, i have same rx 470 with same problem. But after i checked like your tutorial, everything seems OK. So, what next step should i do?
gpunya ka,kl memang komponen yg lain tidak ada kendala, bisa di cek bagian capasitor dkt vram, biasanya short disitu
Hello,my old ati radeon hd 4890 has black screen problem, tried cleaning it to the maximum, but still nothing, and the core is hot to the touch,so its getting power, what could be the problem in this case?it doesnt even want to boot or even show bios or any signs of life

Hi, I have a RX470 4GB MINING Edition card, and I've noticed that the only HDMI port, doesn't have most of it's resistors (the tiny small rectangular components).
Would you advise where I could buy them ? (card has no waranty, let's say).
i always buy from ebay or aliexpres, it's a trusted to shop international
Can I just bother you with one more reply? What would the names of those components be? (just after the HDMI port, there is a cluster of resistors, can't identify them).
which one, tiny black is resistor, grey is capasitor, tiny three leg is transistor
or u can use marking code on the board, L = fuse , R = resistor, C= capasitor, Q= diode
it says R1810, has to be resistor.
yes it is. usually with value 10-100ohm
Hey i got one of these and its been relfashed and still will not work no matter what bios is on it. Any ideas.what to try?
do you offer repair service?
What is the table material? I'm looking to do this at home but wouldn't do it on wood.
I've considered marble, but that shit's expensive.
Antistatic ,from onglai tools
