I always got my UV glasses with me while watching your videos.
I would recommend that you also use sunscreen with at least SPF 50 to be on the safe side.
LOL
Don't forget the tin foil hat for that pesky RF!
The amount of high end graphics cards being ruined these days by people is heartbreaking. Thank goodness Alex and Big Boss are here to save the day, always, better than factory!
Everyone thinks they are capable of renewing thermal paste at home and these are things that happen most likely, they rip-off micro transistors or worse ruin some trace with screwdrivers.
Thats why unexperienced people see on youtube how tu build a pc, and try it by itself and fail.
@@Steffen_ Well it's not that hard, if you are smart enough to understand that attention and care are fundamental. It's also important to not force anything if it won't insert in smooth.
That’s because unauthorized and untrained people with big hands and fat fingers think they know how to build gaming computers. Anyone with basic electronics knowledge will know that you should only hold a circuit board by the edge otherwise sensitive and delicate components can be damaged.
The high end stuff breaks also by themselves even with perfect installation procedures. You get maximum performance, not maximum reliability or anything similar...
It is not getting old. Always brings a smile to my face.. lol
The micro probes you sell are fantastic for applying super thin layers of solder mask. It's easier that using tweezers.
Very good that you have additionally fixed the component with solder mask.
I just did my first job for a small company and I did a good job. I'm happy!
the right tools /the quality of the picture to see such a small part is incredible
The visual inspection is one of the most important thing when we repair electrónics. I have fixed alot of stuff with only a good visual inspection. Great videos Alex. How's the leg?
Good deliberations, Alex continue educating the community.
Great fix Northridge! The amount of respect I have for someone who shares the how-to of such intricate stuff is amazing.
I've never been to the west coast before but one of these days I'll make it over there and check out the shop 👍
The microscope saved the day!
Thanks for the video Alex.
Excellent visual inspection and quick fix. Well done Alex..! Hope one day manufacture will realize their poor design done on their high end video cards.. costing their customers lots of time and money.
He is so good, to the point, no BS. Kind of guy you want if Apollo has a problem.
not going to lie, I enjoy watching these videos with ambient techno in another tab :)
You have no clue how much things I repair thanks to your awesome videos. TNX bro and keep with good work.
13:31 can you expose the U.V light to the camera about 30 secondes because i want to harden my solder mask !!!
Just pause the video man. Endless UV light
@@qwertyboguss Ok U.V light for eternety
Amazing and efficient fix as always :)
Very satisfying videos; moreso the simplified process you display. ❤
Great video. Have an Asrock 6750XT that won't power up. In one board, ASUS board with 700 watt PS, card is dead, but MB fires up. Other board, MSI with 650 watt PS, card is dead, MB dead also. Boards work fine with another card. Never have worked on a Video card, but watching your Repair vid gave the guts to at least take this one apart and try. Thanks!!
We really need professionals like you in our country.. Amazing job
Alex you‘ve got eagle eyes vision installed 👍
Yes, I would have missed that loose component even with his microscope!
Had the reference model from Asus (very similar), never modified it yet it had terrible temps and crashed in many games over the years. When one of the DisplayPorts and the HDMI stopped working I sent it in for RMA. Wish I had the skills to fix it myself but they sent me back an Asus TUF model, the temps and reliability are leagues better.
Hey Alex! Hope you are feeling better from your injury! Are you still planning on making a training program soon? With more help around,I’m sure you could have healed sooner
You got it I'm happy for you Big Boss is happy again with thumbs up !
Your UV light made my teeth white again 👍👍😀😀😀
Great detective work Alex 😁👌 I look forward to the next one
ALEX JUST WAIT BEFORE USING THE UV LIGHT. LET ME GRAB A BOTTLE OF SUNSCREEN LOTION AND A GOGGLE FIRST. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I watched enough of your channel to get a sunburn with all that UV light.
The UV light comment never gets old. It is hysterical.
thank u for sharing how you do your work. its really amazing like your a doctor and doing a Succesful surgery regards to you more
always like to see smile on face after fixed GPU
Once again another fantastic video. Nice fix!!
I love your videos even if i don't understand how you do, you explain a lot and that's awesome ❤
It's crazy how I find ur vids very interesting...I guess cuz I like troubleshooting things myself...but keep up the great work
I have this GPU! The red devil version. I love it!
awesome. keep it alive!
Thanks for giving knowledge. That is very expensive but you give for free I’m your follower from long time ago. I can only see thanks for everything.!!!
5:20
Cool easter egg. There is a cursor at the top left corner of the screen.
What is happeiness when you cant afford 512mb card but you enjoy watching alex repairing beast cards ❤😢
another great Sherlock video the detective finding the naughty componant,,,,,,, and fix,,,,,,,
such a great picture with your microscope.
That UV light definitely just gave me testicular cancer😂😂
Just for content. Should measure first from point to point.
Will clearly show before and after.
And sooth peoples itches.
Great stuff
İyi işler, Alex bizim dünyayı eğitmeye devam ediyor.
Cok kaliteli
Awesome job! You make these repairs seem so simple and effortless. You have a good demeanor too.
Anyone know what he had the gpu plugged in to? Was it a pcie riser?
Yes x1 riser
مبدع كالعادة
you are aswm sir, i learrn very usefull knowledge from you, love from bharat(India)...
I have learned a lot from Alex. I'm not reballing a socket though, not that brave 😂
Thank you Habibi!
Great job
Amazing absolutely amazing! ❤🎉
Good job mate 👍
Thanks for shinning your UV light on me, now I can't hear out of my left eye. 🤣🤣🤣
Great job!
Was saying under my breath on visual inspection, "Come on already " then you found that loose component great work sir
Beautiful repair 🤩🤩🤩
Probably Linus that send those cards in the way he drops stuff :p
Hussain uses his microscope for product advertisement.😂😂😂
UV Light? I am ready! 😎👍
damn... UV light.... too bad for all those vampire viewers...
brilliant fix!
Good Job !
Nice job
UV meme still brings a smile to my face
14:20 Isnt it risky to not wear uav glasses, because the uav light could reflect from any surface (f.e. from the board)?
I have no idea, thats why im asking.
But from my understanding: if you can see it, it reaches your eyes.
It is, I know someone who got burns in the cornea due to using the wrong glasses. It is no joke.
no, he's not looking at it and it's low power
@@TheGuruStud Just because you are not looking at it and its low power does not mean it does not hurt you.
You just get hurt slowly and you "dont see it comming".
I use a small blob of epoxy to set a component, works good and safer.
Nice Content, please show other Card in next video 👍
Always were eye protection in Northridge
Working as designed.
awesome!!!
How do people destroy so many cards? I have never had a single card fail. I still have an old amd 2 gig card I use for troubleshooting, I've had it for a decade now? Something like that. Works great. What are people doing to burn up components?
HELLO !! MAY I ASK YOU SOMETHING ? WHERE CAN I FIND SPARE PARTS FOR RX 6700 XT ( SPECIFICALLY I NEED 1 x MPMT 8633 A522 E chip , 1 x R562042 12v power coil , 1 x D 2mm , 1 x D 4mm and 5 x SKA37 270 16V CAPACITORS )
The corrosion might be caused by leakage from the capacitors.
i thought smd caps dont leak, unlike electrolytic Capacitors?
perhaps i am wrong
My eyes! Your UV damaged my eyes! Im gonna sue!
It is better to use a large heatsink on the GPU during the momentary test.
that would require more time to set up and pull down.. in a busy shop they have to be very efficient with time. the card would power down anyway if it gets too hot.
He said only for a few seconds. During bootup the clocks are at a minimum, core is undervolted, and only pulling 10-15 watts. 3080, 3090, 4090 etc need a small heatsink at least, don't need a fan for short term testing.
I feel my soul being sucked from my body. That dam light does not in any way shine U.V. light waves through a TV. Where did anyone come up with a thought like that!?!?'I'm glad that us techs do not think like that.:)
Is there a manufacturer of GFX cards that you do not see many of? That would be the one to buy I'm thinking
After fifteen years of computer repairs, I can say that I would not buy a screw from Gigabyte.
Omg, iv gone blind from the UV light blasting thru my phone screen! /s. I cant believe someone said that.
i see an rx 6900xt in my country for very cheap it says it has as shorting problem but the guys description says he used only a single 8 pin connector on the card. how much money should i offer to gamble on buying it.
nice
I'm suing you because you damaged my eyes with UV light
greetz from germany
Alex is probably a millionaire 😂
Hi, can I know the name so I can search for them, those small components that are found in pairs above the PCI Express connection?
rx6900xt. they are seen at minute 8:13
I like the voice "better than factory" at the end of every new video.
what would have been your next step if you did not catch that part visually
Hey Alex, what is the hourglass next to you for?
We need big boss lore
Better than factory 🤣
I have this same card 😬
👌👌👍👍
I smelled the flux so yeah UV is possible too hahaha
Love from Pakistan
Whats the reason that capacitor torn out?
what is he using for videocard mount extender?
my eyes, MY EYES! ahhh, why did you do that too me ahhhhhh!
LOL... the UV light make me blind XD
So what about the 2nd 6900 XT?
no surprise its the smallest components that caused it.
My eyes!
better than factory 🏭✅
