      Everyone thinks they are capable of renewing thermal paste at home and these are things that happen most likely, they rip-off micro transistors or worse ruin some trace with screwdrivers.

      Thats why unexperienced people see on youtube how tu build a pc, and try it by itself and fail.

      @@Steffen_ Well it's not that hard, if you are smart enough to understand that attention and care are fundamental. It's also important to not force anything if it won't insert in smooth.

      That’s because unauthorized and untrained people with big hands and fat fingers think they know how to build gaming computers. Anyone with basic electronics knowledge will know that you should only hold a circuit board by the edge otherwise sensitive and delicate components can be damaged.

Boards work fine with another card. Never have worked on a Video card, but watching your Repair vid gave the guts to at least take this one apart and try. Thanks!!

    Had the reference model from Asus (very similar), never modified it yet it had terrible temps and crashed in many games over the years. When one of the DisplayPorts and the HDMI stopped working I sent it in for RMA. Wish I had the skills to fix it myself but they sent me back an Asus TUF model, the temps and reliability are leagues better.

    14:20 Isnt it risky to not wear uav glasses, because the uav light could reflect from any surface (f.e. from the board)?
    I have no idea, thats why im asking.
    But from my understanding: if you can see it, it reaches your eyes.

    • @ProcessedDigitally
      @ProcessedDigitally 9 месяцев назад

      that would require more time to set up and pull down.. in a busy shop they have to be very efficient with time. the card would power down anyway if it gets too hot.

      He said only for a few seconds. During bootup the clocks are at a minimum, core is undervolted, and only pulling 10-15 watts. 3080, 3090, 4090 etc need a small heatsink at least, don't need a fan for short term testing.
