Jinjer strikes again. These reviews never get dull. Over 2 years later. It is the ultimate video for blowing people away
ROFLMAO I love watching these. As you say, they never get dull, always make me laugh. I wish I could hear her for the first time, over and over again.
at this point you have to wonder tho... the difference in views on this video and others is huge. idk how many people who react to jinjer are actually seeing them for the first time.
Yeah this and night wish reactions is my favorite thing to watch
Dude I watch reaction videos of this song all the time never gets old great when ur bored
I'm 4 1/2 years into these Jinjer reactions.
I recommend their song “perennial live at wacken 2019”
1000%
This is where you really see that "switch".
This
Hell yeaaaaaa...
All of this!!
That is one of the reasons why this band Jinjer is world class, not only Tati the singer is world class, that is actually the whole band, as well as Tati's lyrics, read some and you will understand what I mean ...
Maybe next a live performance at a festival in Germany:
JINJER - Perennial (Live at Wacken Open Air 2019) | Napalm Records
many thanks for your reaction and please stay safe!
lovely greetings from germany
Sorry, but the singer is the front....well woman in this case, however, she IS NOT the whole band lol.
I love watching these "vocal coach reacts" videos to this song, especially when the "reactor" says right off the bat "oh she has a beautiful voice". The look on my face when I hear this must be pure evil.
X2 on that comment! 😂👍
"Oh, she sounds like Hillary Duff."
Welcome to the jinjer World.. 😅 🇺🇦 Next stop parennial live AT wacken 2019!!! 🙌 🙌
Yes! Don't do any other song before Perennial live. People keep screwing this order...
Or Teacher Teacher. But definitely in the first three.
Bud no more jinjer reaction.... Always the Same fake reaction..
As far as I know, Tatiana was self-taught, just from growing up listening to metal and figuring it out.
As far as I know she had a few regular singing lessons in her youth. The screaming she started to learn by herself after listening to Otep and a friend telling her that it is a girl, not a guy singing. Her main influence for her screams is Randy Blythe from Lamb of God.
@@Dark__Thoughts she had lessons around 8 years old .that was it
@@cooltechnician Right, but those lessons were only for clean vocals, right?
somebody listened to Otep...I'm not alone
There's a long interview on the Charismatic Voice (also one with Brittney from UTA) that goes into this quite well
That is our metal goddess Tatiana for ya! Would you believe that she is completely self-taught?
It's true! She learned by screaming at cars passing by! ^_^
@@zackgeldhof1206 Standard skillset for elementary school teacher :D
Otep gave her the bad idea, I think. Tatiana's amazing. and so smol.
I believe she may have had a few tips here and there along the way but yes its entirely possible to be self taught this way and that only adds to the amazingness
You only get that good by being self-taught😂🙊
I love people's first reaction to Tatiana's voice, I have no idea how a small person can make such a terrifying sound but it's awesome. She has the voice of an angel and a demon :-)
Welcome to Jinjer. Perennial live at Wacken shows her talent well.
Perennial really highlights her ability to transition between the cleans and the growls.
Great reaction young lady. Yeah Tatiana is a phenomenal vocalist. Jinjer as a whole are all phenomenal, Eugene (bass), Roman (guitar), and Vlad (drums) are insane musicians. Tati gets the most attention because of her incredible vocals, but make no mistake, the guys are equally talented, they compliment each other perfectly. I'm gonna suggest another Jinjer reaction that I think you'll absolutely love, and that is Judgement (& Punishment) Tatiana Shmayluk one take vocal performance. You'll get to see Tati do her thing in a booth, one take, one mic, and one cat (you'll get the cat reference if you react to the video) Peace and as always, stay Metal. 😊🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🎶🎶🎶🎶
Agreed! Each of them are World-Class musicians! :)
Eugene is usually wayyyyy too loud live and honestly thinks he's a God and he get boring fast. He literally did an interview talking about playing less notes on bass lines being better but then goes off and can't help his ego and most his grooves all blend to each other because he plays too many notes lol. They get showed up by opening bands quite a bit. All fuzz from his overpowering bass you can't hear tati very well even. Def studio band.
Is that a goose reference at the end???
Welcome to Jinjer. Good reaction. Tatiana is a vocal goddess and one of the best front women in the business. The band is incredibly talented and best appreciated live. As a vocal coach, your next best reaction to Jinjer should be Tatiana's one take vocal of "Judgment and Punishment". You will get a close up view of her so you can see what is going on during her singing.
Hi from the UK 👋 🇬🇧 something you might like to check out the band is called Nightwish it's a symphonic metal band from Finland 🇫🇮 with a Dutch singer floor jansen (the vakyrie) This band has a massive following in Europe and the Internet
Nightwish ghost love score wacken open air concert 2013
And prepare for the Nightwish army arriving at the door 🚪 lol 😄
Love when you were wondering who taught her how to sing like that. She is self taught. From a young age she fell in love with heavy metal and screaming and decided that was what she wanted to do when she grew up. Pretty cool story. Watching their live shows is pretty cool. She is such a strong singer but the band is equally as talented in their own right. Such a great comp.
I definitely agree with commenters recommending that you react to Judgement (& Punishment) - Tatiana Shmayluk - One Take Vocal Performance. You get a close profile view of Tatiana from just above her diaphragm up wearing a skimpy top & performing a song including 3 radically different vocal styles all in one take. Pretty much ideal for a vocal coach, I would think.
ruclips.net/video/Q5rg_63Shqg/видео.html
Almost ideal. One vocal coach did have a small complaint about Tati's throat tattoo; it's difficult to see what is going on because the tattoo makes it hard to see her muscles and movement.
@@jamescurfman3284
A vocal coach might also like to see stance & diaphragm...to quote Tatiana, "Perfection Does Not Exist". Hence, "pretty much".
Don't forget about the cat! 😁
You definately need some Nightwish in your life...
Nightwish - Ghost love score (Live at Wacken 2013)
You wont regret it!
Nightwish. Ghost Love Score. A Rite of passage for all vocal coaches.
I never get tired of these reactions and as much as I love how effortlessly she shifts between the softly almost serenaded vocals and the false fold screams, the part that gives me chills is when she starts belting it out on “…searching for hooks to catch on…”.
Check out Jinjers Teacher Teacher live in Melbourne
All I can say is that if you ever get the chance to watch hem live and in person, do it. I drove over an hour away and stood in like for 2 hours in the freezing rain and snow and it was worth every second. The whole band are masters of their instruments and they are beasts. They are willing to play small shows as well so you can be right there in the middle of it.
I love how, in every single reaction, people are always MORE stunned at Tatiana going BACK to her original tone, than they are at the actual growling =)
As if, once she started growling, she shouldn't have been able to turn back =)
Welcome to the Jinjer rabbit hole! You next need to react to “JINJER - Perennial (Live at Wacken Open Air 2019)”
My wife and I, just saw Jinjer on tour on October 29th. The whole band was absolutely amazing, and I say this as someone who has been to well over 150 shows from punk, to classic rock, to extreme death metal, to black metal, etc. During that time I've seen bands that killed it, and I've seen bands that struggled and the singer could not do what they did in the studio. Tatiana has no problem performing for almost 2 hours straight and sounded great on every song. Her clean vocals were amazing sending chills through your body, and her heavy vocals were spot on as well. Jinjer is a powerhouse, comprised of top notch musicians that are masters of their craft.
Great reaction, welcome to Jinjer!
Great reaction…liked and sub’d. As others have already said, Perennial live at Wacken 2019 is definitely a great next step into the Jinjer rabbit hole. Looking forward to more Jinjer! 👍
Different style, though also metal, try reacting to Nightwish with Ghost Love Score (Live @Wacken). THE most amazing voice you’ll ever hear!
(But you will invite the Nightwish Army to your channel. 10k comments incoming!)
Martyn knows.... #NWA
JEFF was HERE 👇 congratulations 🎉🎉
The stress syllables are unusual sounding probably because her native tongue is Russian. She is from Ukraine. They are all from Ukraine, actually.
I love "no-stal-GEE-aah" from Just another. It sounds great though.
@@j.f.fisher5318 I agree it's so interesting how she creates a completely new pronunciation for the word "nostalgia" in "Just Another." And it works! Tati bends syllables to her bidding!
Last I heard most Ukrainians don’t think of people from Donbas-the region this band origins from-as Ukrainians.
More. All the band from the city Gorlovka. That place is now captured by russian troops. See promo ''Home back''. That's about it.
@@MarkLee1 I recommend to you not to believe in russian propaganda. Donbass is the part of Ukraine with all people who's populate this region.
Tati is the BEST as what she does...totally amazing
Been awhile since I saw someone so completely not ready for what was coming. LOL Enjoyed your reaction.
I know a lot of people go right to Perennial live at Wacken but I think the live, one take of Judgement and Punishment is a great follow up. Her switches are rapid and she displays three different styles in the first three sections on the song. Amazing talent. And all coming out of her little 5'3" frame!
Next stop is hear they live performance in WACKEN, song Perennial
"Pisces swimming through the river
All their life against the stream
Searching for a hook to catch on and see their sun beam" This part of the lyrics really gets to me...
Priceless !
Just saw them in Boston. Even better live. The band is top notch as well!
Perfect example of how to use the false vocal folds properly and not kill your voice.
Always love Jinjer, great reaction.
the most brutal voice I ever heard, clear, clean, tremendous
Jinjer😈🤘🏼
From what I understand, Tatiana is self-taught.. Some other good ones from Jinjer: "Mediator" and "Wallflower" from their latest album. Some older stuff that you should check out: "Perennial", "Sit, Stay, Roll Over", "Pit of Consciousness", and "Teacher, Teacher"
If you're interested in this genre of female metal growlers, consider Arch Enemy (Sweden), Spiritbox (Canada) plus a couple of defunct bands, Cerebral Bore (UK) and ReVamp (Netherlands). The lead singer from ReVamp is now with Nightwish and these days she rarely uses the technique as it doesn't fit their style. She is a classically trained soprano so in what is probably the most drastic transition in music, she can cut from a growl to an operatic head voice in the span of a single note.
I love that you loved her voice.
I have seen dozens of people react to this video and it’s always the same thing. Shock and awe!❤️
This is the first song that I've ever sought out people's reactions to. Absolutely brilliant, and so much talent.
Hi There, Devin Townsend can also flip from a beautiful fry screams & grows to the operatic style, such an amazing vocal range. Most people try Kingdom live at EMG or Deadhead from the Royal Albert Hall. This artist really is not to be missed.
It never gets old!! Never!!!
The most impressive thing is that half the internet have been reacting to this for a year.... been living under a rock to been able to not been aware of this :-D
They are amazing! “Teacher, Teacher next please. Each song introduces you to a different genre of music styles. Then there are others that have another genre. Enjoy watching and listening to reaction of Jinjer. Thanks for reacting🙏🏼🌹
Chills & thrills...EVERY TIME!
Neat reaction. And I glad to hear your comments on the singers technique.
even today I still spend hours watching these reactions videos xD Tati is out of this world, but the band is up there with her... they are all incredible!! Cheers!
I’m going to see him live in a week
I absolutely love the reactions by professionals to this song in particular haha it never gets old. She does have a very pretty voice and shes multi talented because proper screams are very much not an easy thing.
been a while since i saw someone react on this one, still love the reaction to Tatianas amazing vocal skills.
I'm always happy to see new reactions videos about jinjer! Judgment and punishment next, please!!
Refreshing to see a reaction from someone who actually appreciates the metal side of this song, instead of recoiling in disgust.
No one expects the Jinjer inquisition.
haha exactly. I would love to see them do a metal cover of Oops I Did It Again but that might be too meta for them haha.
Jinjer reactions never get old!
i recommend “jinjer” judgement and punishment “one take record”
I absolutely LOVE watching reactions to this song. Tatiana Shmayluk is absolutely incredible.
Welcome to Jinjer. You should definitely check out more. "Retrospection live in Melbourne", "Pit of Consciousness live in Kiev", "Perennial live at Wacken" and Tatiana's one take vocal performance of "Judgement and Punishment" are worth checking out.
If you want to check out stuff from their most recent album then check out "Vortex", "Mediator" and "Wallflower".
Finally a reaction that was my exact reaction as well. Just wow. And amazing band
The band is from the Ukraine, but is touring the US right now if you want to hear her sing live
I saw them live in Europe last month, and it was amazing
saw them in Potsdam on September 24th this year. Performance was flawless. Epic.
JINJER is honestly absolutely killing the game. I was luckily enough to see them live when they where in LA and Tatiana absolutely kills it live as well as the rest of the band. Best show ever
Watching peoples reactions to this song is the best. I always start grinning right after she says selfless cause I know what's coming next. Your reaction did not disappoint.
This just never gets old.
🔥Welcome to Jinjer, Lara! I just found your channel, great reaction, subbed! Thank you for bringing the fantastic genre twisting music of Jinjer to more people! I love their energy, how tight they are, the heaviness mixed with complexity and groove, beautiful singing and growling and especially Tatiana's lyrics!
The first time I heard Pisces I hadn't liked any metal with growling and it took me a few listens to start liking it, but now Tatiana is my favorite vocalist and Jinjer my favorite band.
TLDR: skip to the last paragraph 😂
Sorry for the long comment, I just love Jinjer too much and love seeing people discover (and usually fall in love with) them and each of their songs!
My three favorite comments about Jinjer that I've seen, "terrifying levels of talent", "I hate it when a Jinjer song ends", and "that was more unexpected than my first child" 🤣
I love the story of Tatiana getting interested in learning to growl. In her own words, "I was inspired by Otep (Shamaya). When I was 15, my friend showed me a record of House of Secrets. I was like, ‘That dude - his voice is so powerful. And he said, ‘Oh come on Tatiana, that’s actually a woman!’ I was like, ‘What?’ She blew my mind. That was the time, the moment when I realized I wanted to shock people just like her. I just had the feeling or the intuition, like an extra sense that this is what I’m made to do.”
For most of their songs, the three guys write most of the instrument music, then Tatiana writes most of the lyrics and melodies (she gets tons of well deserved credit for her vocal and stage performance abilities, but maybe not quite enough for her lyrical and musical composition abilities). Roman the guitarist has written a lot of the instrument music in the past, so he's a huge part of the beautiful sound of Jinjer, but Vlad the drummer (who also plays guitar and classical piano, but so far not in most Jinjer songs - I think he played piano in lainnereP) has been writing more of it and wrote nine of the eleven songs for the newest album Wallflowers, first three videos are out for Vortex, Mediator (heavier) and Wallflower. Eugene composes some - he wrote the instrument music for one song on Wallflowers and a few songs on other albums, and I know that apart from his amazing work on the bass, he adds riffs and has written lyrics for a few Jinjer songs.
The band (all members have been Ukrainian, with Russian their first language) started in eastern Ukraine in 2009 as a group of three (then five) with none of the current members (they consider the official start of the band when Tatiana replaced the male vocalist and Roman joined as lead guitar 2009/2010), Vlad is the fifth drummer (joined in 2016) and it's been a group of four since 2015 (though they consider their road sound engineer Sasha to be a fifth member). I think they're still friends with all the former members.
One of the things I love most about Jinjer is the messages in Tatiana's lyrics and the way she combines growling and beautiful singing with Jinjer's fantastic instrumentals to be so powerful for expressing the anger and pain in those messages: the anti-war message in Home Back, the anti-greed in On The Top, Mediator and No Hoard Of Value (also the horror of the coal mining industry in their home Ukraine), the protest song Who Is Gonna Be The One, the anti-fascism of Sit Stay Roll Over, the anger at people being narrow minded in Teacher Teacher and Judgment & Punishment, the struggles with mental health in Pit Of Consciousness, Vortex, Wallflower and Perennial, the giving voice to mother nature angry at humanity for letting capitalism destroy her in a bunch of songs like Ape, The Prophecy, Cloud Factory, Noah, Outlander, Dip A Sail and Bad Water. Other favorites are I Speak Astronomy, Retrospection, Words of Wisdom, Just Another, Captain Clock, Scissors, Exposed As A Liar, I Want It I'll Get It, A Plus Or A Minus, When Two Empires Collide, lainnereP, Prologue and Beggar's Dance (those last two are short album bookends that might do well together in one reaction).
I haven't found a Jinjer song I don't love, so I think you can't go wrong if you choose any of them, but a few good choices might be Perennial (official and/or live at Wacken, both are must-see), Teacher Teacher (official and/or live in Melbourne), Judgement & Punishment (official and/or Tatiana's one take performance, again both must-see), Pit of Consciousness (official and/or live in Kiev/Kyiv, a third where both are absolutely must-see) or the heartwrenching plea against war in Home Back (official video). Note that because Jinjer has so many great official videos and so many astounding live performance videos, no Jinjer fan will ever mind if you react to a second video for a Jinjer song you've already heard, so whichever songs you choose, whatever pace you like: Enjoy! ❤🖤🤘
this one never gets old... 😂😂😂 what i love about this song is not just how amazing it is vocally and instrumentally but also the meaning of this song, the lyrics, w/c most of the time overshadowed by tati's awesomeness.. 🙂🙂🙂
Ok i gotta follow! Thank you for not pausing so much! As a fan of ginger(and a fan of reactions) i see so many ppl stop, rewind, talk then rewind again. Its nice to see a coach just let it go. Thats a nice switch to what im used to
Judgement & Punishment One Take Vocal Performance. You will absolutely love it!
I am going to see Jinjer on Nov 11th! I cannot wait!!!!!
You should react to Nightwish. "Ghost love score" is an amazing feat of classical mixed with contemporary female vocals.
You can tell a good vocal coach from a great by their reaction to the harsh vocals in this. I’m very impressed with your analysis. Once the shock passed you understood and broke it down. Kudos.
I’m seeing them tomorrow!!!
Love watching reactions to this song! 😂🤣 Going to see them live tomorrow night in Boston! 😁
Teacher Teacher is my fav from jinjer, new album wallflower is the highest level of music... Some other MONSTER female singers in metal are Floor Jansen, Brittney Slayes, Simone Simons, Anekke van Gierbergen and more... Try Ghost Love Score from Nightwish live at Wacken 2013... And welcome to the habbit hole...
Everytime someone thinks Jinjer is just a singer I just KNOW this is gonna be good.
She's my favorite vocalist. She's just unbelievable
Perennial Live at Waken is amazing
So mindboggling I wish I could do that.
I have VIP tickets, going to meet them tonight! I'm soooooo excited!
I love the reactions of vocal coaches when Tatiana changes her range up. She is an amazing vocal talent.
You have to see her do it live, it blows your mind to hear it and see her bouncing around onstage compromising her breath support - all while she maintains the energy of a rock show as a front woman and keeps her breath control. It's really quite impressive. Perennial Live at Whacken 2019 or for advanced "growls" try Pit of Consciousness live in Kiev.
Teacher, Teacher! One of their best!
MORE JINJER!!!
I definitely recommend more jinjer reactions
Pisces is a great song to turn people on to Jinjer that do not necessarily like heavy music. Tatiana Shmailyuk is an amazing writer and performer and her band mates are excellent musicians. I have seen them live twice now and I will again. Never a disappointment.
Jinjer is a awesome band!!!
I will never get tired watching people reacting to jinjer
In their song Teacher Teacher, she pops back and forth from singing/screaming for different words in the same sentence. It's pretty great, and probably my favorite song of theirs.
Our goddess 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
More Jinjer, please!
Teacher teacher is one of their best song imo. So much vocal range. Plus its such a groovy song
Welcome to the Jinjer Army....Keep Going!!!!!! It only get sbetter from here.
She's said before that she taught herself to scream like that. Pretty amazing
Welcome new Jinjer fan…your in for one hell of ride
Yep, that's Tatiana :) Great reaction. Love hearing musicians and vocal coaches react to Jinjer. It's nice when those that know what they are talking about recognize their talent. As others have said, she is self taught. She had about 2 months of voice lessons when she was 8, then the rest is all her own. She's been in many many bands growing up (at one point she was singing with 8 or 9 bands I guess). All kinds of genres; reggae, punk, funk, metal, grunge, rock, jazz, etc. They bring a lot of those influences into their music as well. Tatiana's main vocal influences are Bob Marley, Ella Fitzgerald, Amy Winehouse, and Gwen Steffani (No Doubt days).
She taught herself how to growl/scream and still really can't explain it. She tried to learn from videos and stuff, but it didn't work for her, so she sort of created her own technique. Probably why her sound is different than most others when she does it. It seems fuller and richer, than most. Her main influence there is Randy Blythe (Lamb of God) and Otep.
I agree with others, the Judgement (& Punishment) One Take Vocal Performance is a great video and Perennial live at Wacken 2019 is great. Also, I Speak Astronomy is an awesome song and has some great sustained belts. All of their songs are different. Love how they blend genres and stuff you wouldn't think would go together. They do it so well.
Another Great video from Jinjer is a Live concert video of "Who Is Gonna Be the One" she really shows off her lows in that song and it is one of my FAVS!
" some words are stressed in a weird way" right before Tatiana broke her lol love it!
Jinjer is the best band in the world and Tatiana is an absolute goddess
She has actually gotten even better, check out their new stuff !!!!
She’s the most versatile singer I’ve ever heard. U will be blown away by them unless you stop listening to them .
