- here is a video of a 18 yard roll off container that was loaded with some tile so made it a bit heavier than normal. Truck was put on 4wd and left on reverse to help the winch out. my set up is a 2007 texas pride roll off dumpster with 7k axels, and a 15k warn winch. thanks for watching, and (SUBSCRIBE)

Grease attracts dirt. I always sprayed them with PB Blaster. Quick, clean, easy and cheap!
TERRORoftheLORD i will try that out, thank you.
When I had my roll-off business I used Sunlight Dish Soap on the rails instead of grease. It would just wash off whenever it rained taking any dirt with it. Sunlight because it was the cheapest.
Why did you leave the biz?
Those round things on the bin and rails are called rollers. They are made to ROLL greasing up the outside makes them slide and creates flat spots then they will not want to roll
Dam that truck sounds good
ride tow fix repeat x3max thanks man, listen to it on this video sounds real good ruclips.net/video/xrmcrDUkFHs/видео.html
Q3..

Nice , clean and well done performance Brother ! Keep it up!
Get a small packet of dielectric grease. Make sure use some dielectric grease in the 7 way plug for your rig. I found it keeps a lot of moisture out.
Those trailers make a lot of work over a rollout truck setup
that is a good thing right?
@@anthonyroller8175 yes, you can get into places a semi truck rolloff cant
Thanks for posting. I’m looking into getting some over here in East Texas. Saludos primo
That Cummins sounds so good!!!
Greg thank you
Clean set up bro 💯
Robert Garza thank you brother
Do you have any bumper pull roll offs? Seems like that load could be pulled with bumper pull. At least my new super duty is rated for that.
Yup, Pintle hitch and a dually HD truck would do it. Just buy a gas powered hydraulic trailer. The battery trailers don’t hold up when you’re running multiples a day. It’s slightly faster too running a gas powered engine.
The problem with these pick-up truck roll offs is, they are usually overloaded, then taking into account of the trailer weight and box weight you are limited in what you can haul with a one ton rig, having to move up to a 4500 or 5500 rig.
I always carried a quart of 90W oil to lube the rails for easier sliding. Jut cut the pointy tip a bit and it had a replaceable pop-off cap.
Do you know if the rails on ypur trailer are standard size roll off rails? Or can you only use texas pride cans
I always put 2x10 planks under them....I find it let's them roll alot easier. I leave the truck in park though.
Running the same truck...6.7 Cummins...they work so good.
Jeremy Fawcett it’s rare when I have to drop them on grass 95% of the time it’s on concrete. But I like the 2x10 idea might try it out
Jeremy Fawcett hell yea man this 6.7 have some power. Are you deleted and tuned ?
@@Grtruckingdemolitionllc Every bin I have I have a set of 2x10's for it. I have plank holders welded on to my trailer to hold the planks after I pick up the full bin.
@@Grtruckingdemolitionllc No..not deleted yet. Waiting for warranty to run out..then I will.
Use liquid dish soap on the rails, grease and oil collect dirt, and a pain to clean off..
It’s a roll off no need to clean it grease does the job.
I'm trying to decide should I get a bumper pull or gooseneck
Gooseneck all the way
When you added air to your air bags at the end is that something you added to your truck or do all diesel trucks come with that feature?
It’s a add on, you can order from firestone, but mostly the new pick up trucks come from factory with bags
I saw you have a high lift jack mounted to your trailer. Sometimes I have heavy loads that won’t dump so I have to unload it until it will. Do you use the jack to help lift the trailer????
Nick yes that’s the reason I bought it, the jack will lift it up until the trailer can go on it’s own
I'm clearing out a burned house of furniture would it be better to get a bigger luggar
Great video sucks that theirs so much male KARENS on the comments
What’s worse leaving your truck in park
Or
Reverse???
What do you
Recommend on Pick up trucks
Stephen Contreras all depends we’re is the dumpster dropped at, if it’s in flat concrete you can do both reverse or neutral, if you are at a angle always neutral because truck can roll by itself, and when a dumpster in grass/mud/sand reverse. Also by leaving the truck in reverse releases more stress from the winch.
Is gas powered hydraulic better then the electric you have or which would you recommend?
Electric is strong but I bet the gas powered is more stronger
how heavy was the dumpster?
did you have any issues towing the load?
on average how much do your dumpsters weigh?
what do you drive?
Alan Mendoza I scaled 31k gvwr, no towing issues the trailer axles do get a little opened up because of the weight but no big deal.
Dang, that is heavy!
I didn’t know you needed a CDL for this kind of business.
Alan Mendoza no one has it, I know like 5 other guys in houston that have the same set up, no CDL but have never been pulled over so I guess it also depends what’s inside the dumpster.
Thank you for that man!
I appreciate it
How much does it cost to dump a loaded dumpster on average
How heavy was this load?
What is the heaviest you’ve picked up with this trailer?
Question brother, what's your opinion of Texas Pride trailers? How old is you trailer and would you buy another same brand trailer? Finally, I hear the hydraulic lifting system on a Texas Pride trailers is pretty slow , how do you feel about that statement? Reason for my questioning is I'm in the market for a new dump trailer and like this whole concept of roll-off dump trailer not just for my business but to rent bins out. Thank you for your time and advice.
Why put the heavy in the back
When it’s time to unload at the landfill I don’t struggle
Where you get the roll.off dump trailer
Well if thats the case those guys got their moneys worth because there aint much dead space in that dumpster
Good video, I have been looking at buying the same setup like yours, do you ever run into problems where the truck, trailer and dumpster on the ground length is too long and have problems getting in and out of places?
Antonio Castrejon not really, you just have to drop it off and make sure it will be easy to pick up, 12ft trailer is the perfect size not to big not to small. Just have in mind the drop off will always be easier than the pick up. I like to most of the time have my truck come under the dumpster, so the winch does not do all the work. With that being said I make sure my truck trailer and dumpster can be all lined up.
Grtruckingdemolition Thanks for the reply, have you had good luck with the dumpster business? Would you recommend it?
Antonio Castrejon yes it’s been pretty good, but with the storm we just had landfill prices went up, and everywhere i go i see someone new with the same set up, so lots of competition. The way to make money is to have a bunch of them and have them all rented out constantly
I get dizzy watching your video. Try to put the camera on your chest better, just saying
Where did you get your container
Texas pride
I know I'm a little late to the vid, but I'm thinking/researching getting into the dumpster business. When you charge customers, do you charge a specific amount to use the dumpster or do you charge by the day if they need to keep it for some days, or a combination of both? Thx
I charge for the week
What’s the towing capacity of your truck bro
I have no idea
Is your truck gas or diesel?
Cummins
What's your profit after dump fees and diesel per dumpster bro?
I have several dumpsters and my profit is about 150.
Its not very profitable because the dump fees.
ElR7 yes the same thing $130/$150, might sell my set up later on. Only way I make money is when people have them ready before pick up time.
@@Grtruckingdemolitionllc true i had people that had it for a whole month.
Are you not doing dumpsters rentals?
Big companies have their own dumps and they're the one making the money .
ElR7 o no, the most I do is 7 days. I have to rent each one at least 4 times a month. Some people have them ready in 3/4 days so that helps me out.
ElR7 were do you rent your dumpsters? I’m here in houston and I have seen so many people with these same dumpsters. Houston is getting lots of people with small dumpsters now.
@@Grtruckingdemolitionllc im in Tulsa, Oklahoma brother.
Yes same here there's so many people doing it.
But i honestly don't think its a profitable business unless you have your own dump and 30 yard dumpsters. Does are what mostly all people ask for.
Why is it bad to leave empty space in the dumpster
How much it cost to dump that stuff?
ALOT
Greese is better than liquid even if you get some dirt
Stephen Contreras always, I used to grease it every other trip, I’ve gotten lazy but rail should be greased every other dumpster pick up
How often do you need to recharge your battery.
fmartinez194 NEVER always charged 👍🏼
fmartinez194 ruclips.net/video/yETb6kLDmjk/видео.html check this video out this is how I keep my battery’s charged
Bro they sell grease in a spray can alot easier than your method perfect for my 5th wheel
How much did this dumpster weigh?
What exhaust set up do you have on that Dodge? Sounds deadly...
5in turbo back
@@Grtruckingdemolitionllc business question. What are the Pro's and Con's of the roll off set up you have? I appreciate the time.
If that guy has a septic tank bet you were sinking in his lateral feild
No septic tanks inside city limits
@@Grtruckingdemolitionllc I figured it probably was in city there.
Is the business worth it or would you do something eles
It’s worth it if you have plenty of dumpsters, but it’s very time consuming
Have you tried that slip plate lubricant paint
Robert Garza no I haven’t, it does fine with grease thou
I need to try that out see how it works
Robert Garza yea I’ve always used it, I have never seen or heard of the skip plate paint? Were do you buy it at
I believe at Grainger someone told me about it I need to try it out
Wood only that dumster about 3 to 4 tons
Dam bro u said u fill in them tires with a 100 psi?
Yes sir, rated for 110
@@Grtruckingdemolitionllc rated for 110 i would fill them to 80psi when the load is on at 80 psi the the psi in the tire will shoot up to at least 140 or more.
@@tintdr whaaaaaaat? Lmao increasing load does NOT increase psi bud. Never heard that one before lol but you're 100% wrong.
truck has to be in neutral
You can also use reverse if it’s heavy just chock the back of the dumpster
Huge safety hazard to leave it in reverse. Especially getting in between the trailer and dumpster.
What does this rent for?
$350
You definitely need to invest in the auto tarp system bud. Game changer. Would save you at least 30 minutes per dumpster.
He put the tarp in 3 mins how is he going to save 30 minutes ? If he tries he can put it in 2 minutes or less
@@mariocruz7069 gotta factor in the time unloading at the landfill too my friend.
Would a Ford F-250 do the job?
Yes sir
lmao hell no! it might be able to drop it off but wont be able to pick it up lmao!!
dan theman ofcoars it can dude, don’t matter if it’s gas or diesel a f250 or 2500 chevy/dodge can do it.
Pretty sure he’s not supposed to have to grease that rail like that.
How much money did you make off that??
You can get that fender fixed now with all the youtube money you making now!!!
I got it fixed like 3 days ago, and the next day the door got caught it again and bent it 🤣😂 but welded a angle plate on it so should last me a good while before it breaks again
You definitely should use graphite instead of grease works way better
Why didn't you throw those broken rocks in your dumpster there yours
So when you leave it in reverse do you still use parking brakes?
No
Watch them nails
Dot number don't get in trouble
It amazes me you have no tarp kit on that thing. I can imagine how many times you've worked harder instead of smarter.
Not tarp kit will beat a manual tarped dumpster, specially when people load them a bit over. With a tarp kit you have shit flying all over the place once on the road
@@Grtruckingdemolitionllc That’s some crazy logic dude but alright lmao
@@ryanscott9093 everyone does things different Karen
walking and working between a truck and trailer while the truck is in reverse is dangerous.
Just seems too slow...the whole setup. Profit is in efficiency.
CTT DISPATCH yep, I recommend an auto tarp, wireless winch and wireless hydro. All of my equipment is auto so much faster than this.
@@nedrudt21 auto tarp is a waste of money. Didn't you see the nails? If it's not nails it's other crap. Roll a tarp so you can lay it up on top and unroll it easily.
Este amigo esta muy atrasado en todo,
En que parte según tu ?
I’m
omg get a tripod im sick now!
It’s called POV view
Karen
Here that dump would rent for 450 on a 7 day week .i'm getting in the business that's with a 2 ton limit and you would charge 70 dollars for every ton there over. here municipal solid waist is 37 and construction and demo 26 a ton to dump at the land field there must be a lot of people doing it there for the rates to be that low
There is lots of competition here in houston with the small dumpsters
Did anyone else notice he doesn't have his safety chains for the gooseneck hooked up ?
🤫
First thing i noticed. I wouldnt want to be behind this guy towing a load.
Looking at your rig it's obvious you aren't doing simple repairs and possibly not doing your timely maintenance
What’s with the language? You’re in business to haul scrap, junk, construction debris etc. so why are stressing over nails that may tear your tarp? How about a little professionalism or maybe find another line of work, less stressful.
