Realisticlly, the cost to get even started has to be near 100k for just a “side huddle” job. The trailer, dumpster, truck to haul it a 2500, with a gooseneck hookup, gasoline to stay on the road. Our local dump also competes just gotta wait longer to get your dumpster but their rates are so cheap that people around here will wait 6 to 8 weeks to pay less. So, you got really lucky to start up by prolly starting before Covid and charging post Covid lol

No one in my town has thought of this so I want to be the first so my questions are did you just gamble and go for it or did you ask people around town if they would want a dump trailer almost like advertising it on Facebook or something? How much do you usually pay for a dump? Where I’m at it’s about 200 maybe a little more so is it work the profit? Thank you

    • @kylegrimm

Those are all good questions and we will probably make a video addressing them in more detail. But to answer for Clayton on some of your questions, he just took a leap of faith and bought the trailer and dumpster. He saw another guy doing it so knew there was some demand. I think you’ll be shocked once your start how much demand there is. What is the population in your area? We will answer your other questions in the next video.

Actually for my setup yes, not a dumb question. With my truck my GVWR is 28k lbs. But with a regular 3500, or 2500 you should be ok in most states. I bought a "cab and chasis" dodge 3500, they pull more and it just barley put me over into the CDL category.
