    Lemme just vent real quick I have a 05 rsx type s fully built turbo everything I got it pretty low on some BCs and at the front of the neighborhood I live in they just installed the most cursed speed bump in all of existence like it’s 4 inches tall and not even 3 wide so it just shoots the front end up to slam down on the rockers so now I’m forced to raise it Bc it’s trapped in the neighborhood. I don’t need the video though it’s good I just needed to vent real quick thank you. Also we all need to come together to devise a plan that would limit speeding but also not absolutely fucking destroy cars in the process, the speed bump is outdated and does more harm then good at this point it’s time for a change

    Isn’t it due to the motion ratio that if you adjust the coilovers for example an inch the distance adjusted on the outside would be 2 inches.??

  • @toosloh

    Super easy to follow thank you! I was told when adjusting the height you need to do alignment again... do you know if this is true?

    • @fireman62truck
      @fireman62truck Год назад +6

      You don’t need to do it as long as you don’t notice the tires wearing out very uneven is the main concern. I dropped 2 inch from my last alignment and then ran over 3 curbs. It’s off where my steering wheel is off slight but I’m not wearing uneven too badly

    • @nathanhargreaves1743
      @nathanhargreaves1743 Год назад +5

      As per websites, yes you need to align.
      On a personal experience, dropped the front an inch and lost alignment.
      So I guess its true that you need to align after adjusting.

    Super easy when they havent been on for 50k miles. I put my car on the lift today and it took me nearly 2hrs. That lower lock was stuck on both front coilovers. I ended up needing to use heat to free them up.

    • @Fungustus1
      @Fungustus1  8 месяцев назад +1

      I cranked up the damping setting so there'd be less chance of bottoming out. It makes for a jarring daily driving experience by removing that smooth luxurious feel. So far so good after a year.

  • @MsITachi911
    @MsITachi911 Год назад +1

    Did you get a wheel alignment after lowering it?

    • @Fungustus1
      @Fungustus1  Год назад +2

      After letting the coilovers settle over the course of a few days, I got an alignment.
      I follow the rule of thumb of if you change suspension geometry an alignment is needed, also disassembling and reassembling suspension parts will change enough of the tolerances that an alignment is needed most of the time.

    Thanks for sharing, any knocks or noises with BCs?

    • @Fungustus1
      @Fungustus1  8 месяцев назад

      ~1 year of BCs installed. No jarring knocks, but slight noise over rough roads in the front. Sound increased when lowered the ride height. Haven't checked if I'm rubbing anywhere or loose hardware. Other than that, BCs have been good to me.

    • @wrkls_
      @wrkls_ Месяц назад

      They reason why ppl have or experience noises with Bc or coilovers in general is because they don’t tighten the top mount tight enough since it’s a little difficult to do it helps if you have a go-through or pass through socket ratchet so you can hold the inside allen hex bolt with a hex key o t handle key while tightening the top mount nut if not it’ll keep spinning and not tighten

    Hey bro I have bc coils as well. Are your coils bouncy in front? Because mine are super bouncy and wondering if you’d have any tips on how I can fix it.

    • @Fungustus1
      @Fungustus1  8 месяцев назад

      I can sort of agree since it was a step up from stock in terms of bounciness, but cranking the damping setting via the dial on top of the coils helped at higher speeds. It consequently makes speed bumps jarring and feel every crack of the road. It removes the luxurious feel to the car and passengers complain but whatever.
