It is a journey growing older. We will have sad days, but please remember we are blessed to reach an old age. For 48 years I worked in a support position in pediatric and adult oncology units. It has helped me to be thankful for every spot and wrinkle I have. I try very hard to sparkle everyday I wake up. I wish everyone a Happy Holiday season. ❤️ Patti your beauty radiates from your heart. You inspire all of us! 💕
Agreed, my older sister died at 17 (from poor management of her health condition in hospital!) and my younger sister died at 9 (after fighting Leukaemia for 4yrs) I did not believe I would reach 21, and had a few crazy years in my teens.... but then I did turn 21, and thought, OK... maybe I will grow into an adult.... so I did my nursing, saw old people, sick people, crippled people.... and I realised, its not how long you live, but the quality of the life you live, the achievements you make in your life, and the things you can be proud of, that you did bring to the table come judgement day.
Sorry to piggyback but Facebook won't let me comment. Patti, your alcohol hack is old. My mother was a nurse and always kept a bottle of alcohol in her locker in the hospital and another in her car. There were times that the door lock was frozen and she had to go back inside the hospital to get her bottle to unlock the car so she could come home. This was in the early 1960s and she continued it till she died in 1992. Alcohol will also kill ants immediately. I use it instead of Windex. There are so many uses for alcohol. I'm allergic to Betadine so if I need surgery I am swabbed with alcohol. Unfortunately I am fatally allergic to alcoholic beverages so I don't have the privilege of enjoying an occasional cocktail. From your friend, Patti, in Alabama
Patti you are so much fun! The 5 minutes of eyelashes was so funny and literally made my day. “I am so past it” comment priceless. You are gorgeous with your natural lashes.
The eyelashes.....when you wrote up there "talk amongst yourselves"...I nearly spit my water I laughed SO hard!!!!! I've never worn lashes. I'd probably gouge my eyeball out. LOL. You're a doll Patti!
You are so adorable trying to put on those eyelashes, it made me chuckle because you reminded me of myself trying to put them on. I'm 74 and recently widowed and I'm not giving up on my daily makeup routine.
I am on blood thinners and plavax and I keep a large bottle of Witch Hazel in my fridge. When ever I get a bruise I soak a folded towel and keep it on the bruise and do this 3 or 4 times that day and some times the next day and it works miracles for me and others. God Bless♥️
Miss Patti, I just enjoy your videos so much! I’m always learning new things from you! I’m excited about the eyelashes! I love a plum liner, too. I only decorated our mantle, dining room table and our front porch for Christmas. It’s interesting how much I have enjoyed having “less” decorations out! I’m planning to set a pretty table for our main holiday meal, but this less is more decor and gifting is so freeing and enjoyable for me. - Belinda
I’ve watched you for several years. First time I’ve commented only because you mentioned the bruising. My doctor told me to take 5k units vit C daily. It took about a month but what a difference!! My skin was nothing but bruises, plus 2 heart attacks probably didn’t help. But I promise you, what a difference. I also was a flight attendant for 20 years and miss it so much. At 76 I just try to keep myself from wearing a bag over my head. Anyway, it won’t hurt to try as my doctor said what you don’t need you will get rid of it. Love your show and please keep it up!💖
Patti, I am 82 and loving your channel! I've realized how much I am enjoying my make-up and getting dressed in"cute" clothing. Thanks for all your advice.
@@jerrellhollis294 , I am so happy to hear I am not alone in age and still wear full face of makeup every day. I like to wear it for myself and my husband. We have been married 44 years. Blessings to you and your family. ♥️
I love watching you. I am 63 and stopped wearing makeup after a bad accident in 2013. But now you give me the courage to wear it again. I haven't started yet but soon on my aged and wrinkled skin. Thank you so much for your inspiration
I used to get those bruises mainly on my wrists and a little above them. I think it's because I'm more likely to bump my wrist reaching into a cabinet or drawer or gardening, etc. A neighbor of mine told me he always wears wrist bands when he gardens, and I thought that made sense. I got on Amazon and ordered a pair of wristbands (they are usually worn by athletes). The ones I got are about 4 inches wide, so they protect up my arm a little ways. I wear them gardening or cleaning the house or anytime I think I might get a bump. It has really helped a lot. I have gotten way fewer of those ugly bruises since wearing them. I recommend them to anyone tired of bruises.
Good evening Patti. This morning as my husband and I were walking into Target a young man beside us said “You two are adorable.” Reminded me of a prior video when someone told you that you were adorable. I am 77 and have white hair. Thinking about having it colored back to blonde this week.
Yes it was a compliment! I am 70 and let my hair go natural 5 years ago. So glad I did. A friend said don’t let it go silver, color it blonde. But that still means work! I love my hair but it is silver with a few dark hairs that came in about a year after I let mine go natural. I love it and get plenty of compliments.
I know it may have been meant as a compliment, but it's like telling an older person "oh you're so cute ". To me that feels patronizing like they are talking to a child or a pet.
I absolutely adore watching your videos!🤗 I have learned so much, and am still learning so much about going through the aging process from watching your videos and listening to you talk about your experiences. You are truly an inspiration to me as well as others.☺️ Keep those videos coming!❤️❤️❤️
Definitely Arnica gel is the best. I had a freaky fall in my garage and was bruised up. I used arnica gel and rubbed it in the bruises for a couple of days and the results were fantastic.
Using the light taupe colors of eyeshadow for my brows & finishing them with brow gel works best for me. I tried several thing from the "Ugly Bruises" video & none worked worth beans BUT since I bruise & mark up so easy it's crazy, I bought Arnicare Bruise Cream off Amazon, I swear it works well. Any marks I get & immediately rub some cream on & often after, they go away in less than half the time, even the bad ones. I always go get something to push stuff into the open I drop in the car, especially, I've gotten more marks reaching between the car seats & from cabinet, drawers, & the shelves in my fridge! Even doing laundry. I'm super careful but I am forever reaching for the Arnicare cream! I don't waste money on oils or lotions anymore. I am fairly sure you need to lay your lash at the outer corner, without pulling your lid. I'd only trust glued ones.
Patti, I have very thin skin and I will be 71 in a few weeks. We went to Florida this past March. While walking thru the airport, a women bumped into my right lower arm with her suitcase. I knew she had torn my skin. Oh my goodness! When I went to the ladies room and saw the tear, I wanted to cry. I immediately washed it with soap and water and applied a bandaid. We then went to CVS before going to our Condo to buy antibiotics and larger bandaids for sensitive skin. Long story but I do understand the bruising and wish there were something I could do……..other than be very mindful of my surroundings and try to cover up my arms always. Especially when I am around people in close proximity. I do so enjoy you and am always happy to see your videos. Take good care! 😊❤
I have found that if I have a tear it heals faster if I carefully unroll the skin and lay it down the best I can before putting on the bandaid. No antibiotic cream at all. Don't get it wet and change the bandaid regularly. sometimes the skin will stick back down and not leave so much of a scar. After a couple days you can put antibiotic cream or ointment on if you still think you need to. Works for me.
One thing I feel the need to add about the biotin supplement. I have a primary care physician that I visit every six months for a check up. At one of the visits, I do a fasting so a blood test can be taken. Last year after my visit, I received a call from his nurse regarding one of my numbers pertains to my thyroid results. She questioned if I was taking any kind of biotin supplements. I was not but, I drink a Walmart version of the Premiere protein shake every morning after my breakfast. I looked on the bottle and one of the ingredients was a large amount of biotin. When I explained that, she was relieved. It seems that biotin can skew your thyroid results. Just a little thing to know. I still drink my shake but at least we know it can tamper with my thyroid results.
I wasn’t having good luck with the Elf foundation and then I came across a video that said to use your fingers and that has been a game changer for me. So if anyone has been struggling with it, forego the sponge or brush and try using your fingers. 😊
Patti, I love the way you talk into your monitor. I think that's what it’s called. You do it so calmly and naturally like you actually are looking right in my eyes. I feel like if I sneeze I want to turn my head and cover my face! That's the way I feel asking Siri a question. Kind of like talking to myself. You're so honest putting makeup on the video for the first time without practicing. This way you show more information and try other suggestions so we learn by watching and telling us what you’d try again so we can see why or why not the difference it makes. We learn and remember from your comments how to go about trying a new way until you've mastered the right way. It is believing and worth more than millions of words! Thank you for being so real. You're amazing! You have saved me thousands of dollars and more! It also feels like talking and listening to my best friend! So many clever ideas to try that are encouraging and making makeup being fun to apply. You're just awesome. Thank you for being you! You are beautiful inside and outside!🌿🌷🤗🌷🌿
You always lift my spirits Mz Patti and I enjoy spending time with you. It's been my experience that any self adhesive lashes are just not good. U really do need a lash glue to hold both ends down. Glad ur going to get ur money back on those ones. Here in Scotland we get a lot of heavy frost over the autumn and winter months. Fast tips are always appreciated so will try this as soon as I find a place here that sells rubbing alcohol. Not sure if we have that available here. Take care and stay safe. Much love ♡♡♡
I saw that alcohol havk also! Good to know it works. I live up in New Hampshire so i get ice for sure. They also say it keeps the ice from forming too once you spray the alcohol on the glass. One last thing, i was laughing watching you do the eye lashes. Thank you for your videos! Merry Christmas to you and Jim❤
Patti beautiful Patti, what a delightful person you are to watch and listen too! You have beautiful blue eyes just the way they are and you really don't need the false lashes at all. Have a wonderful week. ❤️🙏
Thank you Patti I am 70 I watch some of you video. I starting taking care of myself too. Thank for encouragement! I like the ELF. I am having fun trying your suggestions!
Patti, you had me giggling when trying to get the false lashes to work. I don't have the patients you do to even try. You look so pretty. I use the same ELF foundation you use and love it. You always look elegant. Hugs and love to you. ❤
Beautiful as always, Patti! You gave the lashes more of a try than I would’ve! They looked as good with just the mascara. I tried the hair, skin and nails caps after you recommended…i am losing less hair since being on them so that’s a plus. Not a difference in skin or nails for me. Always enjoy your videos. Blessings 🩵🫶
That bit with the eyelashes made me laugh! I really like your lip color, very pretty on you! And thanks for the tip about alcohol on icy windshields, I live in Montana so will definitely try!
Thanks for your advice on putting the makeup on. I’m your vintage and people have been saying I love your hair. Same hairstyle for years. They say you look great and I smile. Thanks
Hi Patti, so good to see you! Have you tried Arnica gel, and Arnica tablets (dissolve in your mouth)? They help bruising a lot! I haven’t finished your video so maybe you mentioned it. Hope you, Jim & your families are doing Great! Love & Joy
I love when the music started as you were trying to get those lashes on. I immediately thought of Lucille Ball when she applied false eyelashes and they were falling off. Lol Love your content and I’m jealous I don’t look as good as you in the darker lipstick. 💕
I’ve tried many different eyebrow colors and I’m always trying something new. The one thing I keep saying to myself after I look at my handiwork is---there sisters not twins! So thank you for reminding me most days about the sisters. I love it and laugh when I repeat it to myself. Till next time, love you and stay safe. ❤️❤️🤙🤙
You do an amazing job on your videos and give us women close to your age hope and memtoring in the aging process. You are beautiful and you will always be beautiful because you care and do a great job on maintaining your beautiful self. I’ve said for months how much I LOVE YOUR SILVER HAIR. It’s gorgeous ❤❤❤❤
Patti, your eyes look better with just the mascara. Maybe try the individual one. I find they are easier to use and more flattering to our olders eyes. Just read you were st Graceland with Elvis!!! Whoa...I have been following you for years and this is something I never heard you mention. Do tell. BTW..love the lipstick color on you.
I use retin-a on my bruises from Tylenol. I am going to try your suggestions. I've been a sporadic taker of Biotin too but I will do as you suggest. Thank you for sharing. Your beautiful blue eyes do not need false lashes. You are so l9vely, both inside and out. God bless.
Patty I'm 57 58 in June 2025. I've gone a lovely silver grey, and I love it. My mom who is long gone would be rolling around in her grave seeing me with grey hair. Lol. But it truly suited me. I had dark brown Auburn colored hair . I love you and what you do and say your just so beautiful mind body and soul. Love from Melanie Griffiths New Zealand. 💕
I sure do enjoy your GRWM’s!! And I have seen those vitamins & supplements for years on QVC or HSN one of them & always wondered about them! Thank you for the recommendation!!!❤
Buy hand towels that match the interior of your car, fold/roll them to fit between your seat and console, never have to try to get anything out of there again..works great.
Oh my goodness, I had the same problem with the eyelashes..... I should've sent them back, I have one pair left, but I literally ruined two pairs two different times trying..... money wasted. I was totally hoping I'd see something you do to get them to stick but I too laughed watching. You look beautiful as usual!!
I've used that Lessman product every day for 20 years. Like you, who knows if it helps with anything, but I'd hate to think what my hair and skin would be like if I had never taken it at all, so I continue. I never heard that it might help with bruising, but now that I think of it, my bruises don't seem to last long. I had a nasty one on a hand a week ago and today, it's gone. If you continue to take a biotin product you might keep in mind that you need to stay off of it a few days before routine blood work especially regarding thyroid. Our cars are always garaged, but I'm going to put a bottle of alcohol in car in case I'm caught out in an icy situation, so thanks for the tip! Laurie
Wow that grey shadow works perfectly for your brows! I so love your hair and look forward to when mine gets greyer in the front so I can do the same. What's grey is a pretty shiny silver and I love it, but too much of it's still mousy dishwater blonde so I'm not ready to take the plunge yet. But I will!
I agree that it draws your eye down. Your lashes are good with just the mascara. If you want them a little thicker you could always use the white conditioner before applying the mascara. I like my age so I only use mascara. I did get permanent eye liner and brow micro blading as my hands aren’t as steady and I was getting red eyes from makeup. I wish I had done permanent makeup sooner. I did choose to go with a very natural look and no wings or trend styling.
@ yes top and bottom, never regretted it but wish I had done it a lot earlier. My younger sister just had her’s done at 69 y.o. and says the same thing.
Patti, Thank you so much for recommending the Elf soft glam foundation! I'm 66. I've been having such a hard time finding something that has decent coverage, but doesn't settle in the wrinkles! I just love it!! The price point doesn't hurt either! Oh, and the lashes..I saw those. I was considering them. I'm so glad you reviewed them. It save me the trouble of sending them back.
I've lived in a snow area for 50 years. Last year was the 1st time I ever heard about the alcohol trick. However, I was told it had to be the 91% isopropyl alcohol. So, I haven't tried it with just regular rubbing alcohol. But, the alcohol trick sure does work miracles on my icy windshields. Oh, and also, I wish I heard about the oil for bruises last October, haha. I had an embarrassing bruise that took a very long time to go away. I researched all kinds of treatments and none of them worked. I will check out the helichrysum oil. Thank you
Love you for your honesty. I have tried magnetic lashes and they always required magnetic eyeliner for them to adhere. It was always in black and way to harsh. You are a natural beauty with or without the lashes. Thanks for sharing what we all go through if we are blessed enough to age up! Love the color of your lipstick. I am a darker lip color wearer myself. I hail from Minnesota and have never heard of using alcohol to melt away ice. Will give it a try. Have a wonderful Christmas with your family.
Love love love your silver hair, I'm 85 and thinking seriously thinking of letting mine go white. I have been coloring it because I don't like the white, washes me out because I'm pale....but tired of doing color, so we will see, always watch your videos
I explained to my doctor that it was the sum total of the little things that help as nothing by itself seemed to do it. She agreed. Thus, your bruise aids work together. I was explaining my barefoot shoes [on Amazon and Temu] for sciatica. The shot of cortisol to the right hip at the pain clinic helped too.
Patti, you make me laugh about the frozen windscreen. I lived in Alpes in France and in winter we used every day a défriser spray, we buy it in supermarket, it’s not expensive. And I agree with your mom, not everybody gets to be old !! Yes, so no problem with our wrinkles!!😉😘💕🎄🇫🇷
Loved this video, Patti! I too am 81 years old and have the thin skin with bruising on my hands and lower arms mainly. I do take vitamins, but for the bruising I also use Helichrysum by Vitality. It comes in a roll on bottle like you have and it is pre-dilated and it works great. I will check out that gal you mentioned that talks about the essential oils, as I do like to stay natural if I can. Want to check out your mascara as I am not pleased with any I have and I am too much of a fumble fingers to try false lashes. Hope you are having a lovely holiday season!
Oh goodie , false eyelashes . I had asked you to do this a while back . Ill keep watching ...................well I can relate , its alot of work , But some are easier then others .. you are a trooper ,
LOL! I tried some of those clear adhesive discs to make a crease on my eyelids where my old skin was sagging. I couldn't get them to stay put on the edges. Great video, and many thanks! 🎄
Patti I can relate!!! I tried Kim Gravel's eyelashes and had the same issues! I was so frustrated that I threw them in the trash!!😂 You had me laughing! Thank you for some Sunday giggles! Could you do a video on the course black chin hairs we post menopause women get? They are soooo embarrassing!
Oh Patti, I’ve never tried false eyelashes because I always thought I’d end up just like this! 🤣🤣 I certainly don’t have as much patience as you have. Quite frankly you don’t need false anything. You are lovely just the way you are. ❤
I am also 81 and was a cosmetic retail salesperson for many years. I no longer wear moisturizer or foundation but only a little eyebrow powder, some eyeshadow as eyeliner, a wee bit of blush and lipstick. First thing I did after work was come home and wash my face. I have very few wrinkles due to my inheriting my skin from my mother. A lot of men like their ladies natural. I say to each his own. Merry Christmas.
Love your eyebrows! never thought of using eye shadow. Maybe you should have tried to put on the eyelashes on your bare eyelid - before any other makeup.
Patty, I love the lipstick you use. It really looks beautiful with your blue eyes. Your whole face just lights up once you put that color on. ❤ Take care and God bless you.

Hi Patti, I learned 2 new things yesterday and I am always glad to learn something new! However, today I can't remember what they were! 😕
Lol, that is so true!
😂😂😂👍 it happens 🤷
😂 Awesome!!! ❤
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 you crack me up.
You totally cracked me up with those false eyelashes!!! Bless you for being you, dear Patti!
Great tip on the rubbing alcohol! Thanks Patti!
You are an inspiration to all of us older gals. I look forward to each and every one of your videos. ❤❤
Patti, you had me giggling when trying to get the false lashes to work. I don't have the patients you do to even try. You look so pretty. I use the same ELF foundation you use and love it. You always look elegant. Hugs and love to you. ❤
I wish you and your a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year!🎉
Beautiful as always, Patti!
"I can't talk and do this" with your eyeliner! OMGosh I love hearing that I'm not alone!
That bit with the eyelashes made me laugh! I really like your lip color, very pretty on you! And thanks for the tip about alcohol on icy windshields, I live in Montana so will definitely try!
I like the grey eyeshadow as brow color. Elf also has a grey brow pencil. I have used & liked using Arnica Montana cream on bruises.
Thanks for your advice on putting the makeup on. I’m your vintage and people have been saying I love your hair. Same hairstyle for years. They say you look great and I smile. Thanks
Hi patti, i feel the same with Christmas. Love your videos!
Hi Patti, so good to see you! Have you tried Arnica gel, and Arnica tablets (dissolve in your mouth)? They help bruising a lot! I haven’t finished your video so maybe you mentioned it. Hope you, Jim & your families are doing Great! Love & Joy
I have used many of Andrew less and vitamins for MANY years and wouldn’t be without his skin hair and nails, great video ❤❤😊
I love when the music started as you were trying to get those lashes on. I immediately thought of Lucille Ball when she applied false eyelashes and they were falling off. Lol
Love your content and I’m jealous I don’t look as good as you in the darker lipstick.
I'm sorry I spoke too soon about the vitamins. I'm glad you are still using them. 👍😍
Great video. Your nails are gorgeous. I love the eyeshadow-for-eyebrows trick. It looks flawless, not the least heavy handed or overdone. Perfect.
Pattie….you are an inspiration!!! Thank you for making this 80 year old lady feel beautiful!!!
I had heard that about the ice mix, but forgotten that I had it in back of my car. I live in SD so now I will remember to use it.
You are the only creator I watch applying makeup. Years ago I remember the person would put their lashes on off screen.
Patti, I just love watching your videos! I look forward to them. You are so much fun and for real. ❤❤
Good evening Beautiful Lady 🙏🕊️♥️
You're so pretty Patti, and not only on the outside. 😊 Thanks for another great video! ❤
Buy hand towels that match the interior of your car, fold/roll them to fit between your seat and console, never have to try to get anything out of there again..works great.
Brilliant thx
Patty, I love you and your wisdom. That silver eyeshadow palette looks like BLUE eyeshadow is coming back!!!!😀
Oh my goodness, I had the same problem with the eyelashes.....
Laurie
You don’t need the eyelashes. Your lashes are pretty. I like your lipstick too.
I am your age Patti and have those terrible bruises so I am going to try your ideas. Thank you for sharing.
Did they do permanent eyeliner on the bottom waterline or the top? I am thinking about getting it on the bottom waterline.
@ yes top and bottom, never regretted it but wish I had done it a lot earlier. My younger sister just had her’s done at 69 y.o. and says the same thing.
I started watching you because your makeup looks so pretty but soft & natural. You don’t need the lashes!
Love you Patty, you always give me a little lift ❤
Andrew Lessman is the best. Scientific and environmentaly friendly. I have been a Lessman customer for years.
Thank you for sharing. I love your channel.
Happy HOLYdays from South Africa 🎄❤
Hearing you say "hella" was a treat 😅❤
Patti, thank you for your insight....ur a Love
Love love love your silver hair, I'm 85 and thinking seriously thinking of letting mine go white. I have been coloring it because I don't like the white, washes me out because I'm pale....but tired of doing color, so we will see, always watch your videos
Good evening pretty lady🥰🥰
I love the Elf foundation, also. I combine it with a dollop of L’Oreal LumiGlotion in the palm of my hand to get a little extra glow.
I just love your videos, your so much fun, Thank you
Vitality extract already mixed and roll on. Plus Frankensense for pain....love it!
Your just the best with your tidbits of advice! Thank you
Wow Patty, that elf glam foundation went on so nicely, love your big brush too.
Looking Gorgeous, a true Southern Beauty. Greetings from Australia,Been watching you for years Patty, so Glad you stopped with that Dark Eyeshadow look you used to wear . Now your eye makeup looks Fantastic! 🌸🌺🌸
I have a terrible bruise on my left hand. I'm almost 79 & have fair skin & natural platinum hair. I live in So. Cal. I don't set my hair nor do I spray it. I have tons of make up in bags . 🎉
What a sweet video! I’m brand new. Glenda Sully’s channel recommended you. This was a delight. ❤
Patti, when the ELF foundation gets really empty… take a scissor to it. You’ll be amazed at how much is still in there!!!
You are amazing Lady 🎉Patti🎉
Thanks Patti. Fun video🎉
Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year 🎄🎁🥳 I have ato wrap presents.
You are such a sweetheart... love you and love watching your videos. I finally got a collection of makeup for something to do. My husband had just passed away back in September and the makeup is therapy.
