Love Jo Koy. If you're bringing on comedians that we're not on SNL, please for the love of God, I want more Kyle Kinane. Dude is underrated and long overdue some recognition.
Thank you for refreshing me with these podcasts, I’ve been listening to them between video edits on a music video project for a band. Keeps me inspired!
Around 29 min mark when David is talking about the guy saying "the stuff you do between the jokes is funny" really made me think about what I love about David, his little throwaways that maybe no one hears I find the funniest things on these podcasts. I love you guys. You should DEFINITELY have Tim Robinson (SNL, Detroiters, I Think You Should Leave) on soon, that would be a great podcast ❤❤❤❤❤❤
The "origin story" of David Spade's comedic style is amazing to hear. "It's the stuff you say between the jokes that is funnier" So David took that and intentionally crafted his comedy so that the throw-away comments, his asides or under-his-breath interstitial remarks are the joke or, a big part of the joke. Like Norm MacDonald, there's an economy to his comedy wherein the in-between material, between punch lines or leading up to them, is as funny or even funnier than actual punch lines -- although neither comic has actual punch lines. No words are wasted on set-up. Humor is packed into every word. Most comics have all kinds of non-funny setup, which puts a lot of weight on the punch line and makes a lot of non-funny time in between.
One hour of "And then I sold out a crater on the moon in under 3 seconds!!", followed by that catchy catch phrase, "Crazy, huhhhhhhhhhh???" from a guy I never heard of.. Thought it was a lost episode of Documentary Now!
I knew of him but hadn't checked him a while. He's good,I'm a tough laugh. Eg. Bert Krysler didn't make me laugh and stopped watching. The guys approve of him ,they're right ruclips.net/video/bs98DQ9MeSs/видео.htmlsi=3yWcstTx9lAaS-W0 rightruclips.net/video/bs98DQ9MeSs/видео.htmlsi=3yWcstTx9lAaS-W0
