- Join us as we visit Lightwater Valley Theme Park for a day of fun and thrills along with sharing on ride footage from all of the attractions we experience throughout the day. Lightwater Valley is also home to The Ultimate, one of the longest roller coasters in the world at 7442ft! We also ride the parks indoor roller coaster, Raptor Attack along with experiencing the many different flat and family rides across the theme park.
Throughout the day we also check out the various changes and new additions across the park mixed in with plenty of laughs throughout.

What Lightwater Valley will add in the next 5 years:
2018- new trash can
2019- nothing (trash can too expensive)
2020- new fence
2021- reduced food prices
2022- fix audio on barn ride
Hopefully now the park is under new ownership we will see some investment
Coaster Network Id be surprised if the park is still running in 5 years. in fact I'd say it's incredibly unlikely.

I do work here at LWV and can confirm there’s been A LOT of internal changes this year. And next year the new owners are planning to do some more external changes.
Ad2000 I've been to lightwatet valley 2 times now and I really think that they need some more thrill rides.
The Ultimate is a very unique looking coaster. You don't see many coasters that literally hug the ground for most of its run. Almost like they were deciding whether to build either a coaster or a train ride and decided to just combine them both.
At Chessington on the Vampire last Sunday
They reserved the back two seats for VIPs
VIPs were mostly people from Grenfel Tower who survived and the adults wanted to give the kids a day out
Which I thought was really nice of Chessington and Merlin Entertainments so I wanted to thank them

Loving watching this vlog. I have a long wait here at school, so it's one of the very few times I can sit down and watch a vlog, beginning to end! Great vlog as always!
I have fond memories of this park from childhood. The Rat Ride, Devil's Cascade, SoopaLoopa etc. Very scenic park too. I haven't visited for years and keep meaning to. I'd better get on that soon just in case it leaves us. :-(

I've not been on The Ultimate for years, but from what I can remember it's like a 3+ minute train ride before the ride starts. The first part of the ride I found boring and I don't think I've ever seen such slow lift hills, but then it just takes you by surprise and turns into a really good terrain coaster. I can't help feel they sacrificed thrills just to break records. And it was built by British Rail... need I say more?

Top vlog as always! I really really need to ride the ultimate, I work in the rail industry therefore it would be fun to ride a British Rail manufactured coaster.
I remember riding The Ultimate as a kid and even then being amazed that it was the longest roller coaster in the world and proud that such a #1 coaster was in the UK, though looking at it now it's more obvious that it's long because the lift hills take about 5 minutes :-D

If you like raptor attack youll maybe enjoy 'Rioolrat' in Avonturenpark Hellendoorn(Netherlands). It has a short of same expierence with a bit less theming.
Hey Shawn! The swan was so big and beautiful!! If you were curious to know more about why swans are protected in England, it is because legends say that much of the royal family are descended from swans! And that some of the royal family long ago were supposed to have the ability to actually transform into a swan. So it is as if they are part of the royal family! There are many other stories as to why swans are special to england, however, this seems to be the oldest. Thanks so much for the vlog! I loved it!

my brother and his friends got stuck on the raptor attack. They were on there for about 15-30 mins before the ride started again. They had to go through the rest of the ride with the lights on. it's my favourite ride a lightwater valley.

Just returned from Universal Orlando, best holiday ever, my favourite rides are Transformers the Ride and Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit now my top coaster

The top of the second drop on the Ultimate is great because it is like the calm before the storm

Yorkshire Day was yesterday but it seems appropriate to be getting on to this one now. Mainly go up there for the three peaks of course but maybe one day if I have enough time I might go here. Fish and Chips is just not as good in the south of England.
Been here once with school back in the early 90s. Teacher genuine told us girls to make sure we had bras on as its not good on the ultimate without. 😂😂

Theme Park Worldwide I know it was very old and apparently some of the spare parts have been sold to Alton for their enterprise. Hopefully the new owners will replace it with another flat ride at some point.
And I think the flying camel's where quite old and knackered as well.
If you think The Ultimate is painful now, you should have tried it when it first opened and had shoulder restraints. It was like being in a boxing match!

I am currently spending a time in South America. I was in UK last year for Winter Wonderland. Sadly I count enjoy UK park but I have traveled so many places. I'm going to Phantasiland to enjoy its new coaster for 2018. We could meet up front :)

I'm a little sad as this is one of my two local parks as pleasure island closed down. Pleasure island had two great dark rides and a few strange flats. I hope one day we get another ghost train like shrekisville in England. Tommy tinkaboos was my first ride. I was there on the last day and cried so badly. Light water needs a dark ride . But raptor atack is amazing so they probably can do a great dark ride as well.
It's really nice to see a park that isn't a concrete jungle, as so many American parks are now.

Fast forward 6 years and the Ultimate is no more ! I think 2017 looked like the parks last proper year of it being good.

when i went to Lightwater valley when younger there was a Rio Grande Blue Steam Engine in 80s the theme park was different back then
I’ve been working at LWV for 4yrs it’s just a shame that every time you’ve come I’ve been off work. Hopefully this year I’ll see you.

I love Lightwater Valley, but every time I go, it feels really depressing. I think it's just because there is nobody there and it really is a ghost town. I went with school two years ago and I took a few minutes to get on the ultimate and there was no que for a single ride in the pirate area. It really is a shame the way they are going, it's soooooo cheap to get in!

Sam Barnes Absolute certainty I reckon. it's not Improved since my last visit nearly 12 yrs ago. The new owners don't have the funds to turn it around either. The park needs significant investment.
