THIS IS WHY WE NEED CROSS CORRUPTED races implemented that so we can have chaos rats or Vampiric rats, or Vampiric Elfs etc. etc.
@@onatyungul872 Well skaven are already creatures of chaos, created and mutated by warpstone.
Skaven are chaos creatures, they just despise chaos (like everything else). Skavenblight is just the sunken ruins of the original ancient city that birthed our favorite accursed ratlads. They know if they shacked up with Chaos proper they’d be in a similar situation as they are now but with less deniability and anarchy to hide behind. Better they bide their time, playing everyone against each other then swarm over all sides in their weakness.
Plus the Horned Rat doesn’t like sharing.
Part of it has to do with the nature of Dhar (all the colors of magic crushed together then using sheer willpower bludgeoning it into existence hopefully without it blowing up in your face as collateral damage). Necromancy and Chaos magic are both dhar although one is “trapped/earthly” dhar (necro) while the other is “free-flowing” dhar (chaos). Vampires ‘naturally’ attract dhar given their static forms, undeath being the opposite of chaos as chaos seeks to flow over everything and force it to change often in violent and careless manner vs necromantic forms which take the naturally agitated energies and seal it up, keeping it from returning to the realms of Chaos. A whirlwind of madness vs stasis.
Elves are strong enough to wield dhar by effectively personally crushing the winds into dhar but it’s foolish, when why druchii are fond of it: quick, dirty, powerful. Humans are drawn to it because it offers power and a chance to take their comparatively short lifespans into their own hands. Humans have the unique position of being capable of molding the winds without needing a warhammer deity to filter it yet don’t have the wills, minds, and bodies to “safely” wield more than one wind without mutating horribly/going insane/exploding.
There are mutated/chaos versions of most races (elves, halflings, lizardmen) being the exception. Undead don’t really become chaotic because of the free vs stagnant dhar issue. Vampiric Skaven could happen although it would be mostly something the ratman would want, probably not the vampire (a race already known for cowardice and backstabbing given more power and thrown into your backstabbing courts of unlife? Hmm). Plus who would want to willing bite a skaven? Then all the skaven vamp needs to do is hide from the Horned Rat and the Grey Seers after being branded a heretic which to a normal rat, is certain death (although an undead renegade...).
Necromancy and vampirism really only holds interest to the magically inclined races (which are few) and those with rather short lifespans, so pretty much skaven and humans. And enough chaos energy or warpstone will mutate/corrupt/kill anything not from the realms of Chaos or the Old Ones. Humans are just numerous enough, willful enough, and independent enough to have significant numbers in both.

@@mranderson9553 Just use Ariel or a hero with a horse.
If you didn't know the enemies army comp it would be very difficult to counter it, "just take a doomstack theat counters it" isn't possible if you don't know what you're countering.
