Another reason for varifocal is when you have a dynamic environment. I did an implementation for an open pit mining operation where the office moved and the pit changed size/location as they mined. It was easier to adjust ptz cameras remotely than to go on site, and in the end cheaper, as my time isn't free. At the low end, consumers should at least consider whether their needs or interests are likely to change during the expected service life of the cameras. Especially if they are ordering a $100 camera from Amazon and are unlikely to return it. Better to spend a little more and have something that will work. I generally recommend ptz as a first camera for home users doing a self install when they think they will expand later. After they get a feel for the technology, they can safely save some money with fixed lens cameras.
Hi Securitybros, I think the Reolink wins the race in this comparison, I have both Reolink and Annke cameras! in my setup, Another great comparison review, Thank you, Cheers Paul
I would like to have reolink cameras and the sunba PTZ in one system. What NVR would you recommand? Thanks for reviewing those caméras, your channel is so helpful 👍
What is your definition of big and very intrusive? In my opinion the Reolink from their side by side comparison shows it’s a bit smaller but intrusive in my opinion depends on where there going to be mounted to use. Thanks
This is what I've been Waiting for. Digital zoom just doesn't compare. I will definitely be getting a couple Reolinks. Thanks!!
Your best review and explanation about your comparison yet. Thank you
Thank you for watching!

They are for sure bigger than cameras with fixed lenses but it all depends on where they you place them.
