Stuff like cart crashing isn't really to change minds; it's to reinforce the beliefs of those who do them. If this was a real debate, there'd be a mediator, time for the Witnesses to prepare as well as Pastor Lorenzo, and generally equal treatment. No, this was an exercise in treating someone as incorrect, and thus, worthy of scorn.
Yeah I certainly would prefer a proper mediator and a proper debate. It's just so hard to get members of these High Control groups to meet even in a neutral setting 😪
The witnesses are "prepared," that's why they are there, for interaction with the public, and to share their "religion" and find new members for their dwindling cult.
@@mattmurdock2868 .. the success of public preaching precludes JWs from being defined as a 'cult' - they are legalized worldwide in some 239 lands where they are allowed to peacefully practice their faith and give witness in public exactly as taught in the Bible. It is hard trying to explain to people that persecution or debates won't convince JWs... You could bring them historical accounts of what Christians in the 1st age believed and show them it doesn't fit their theology at all and that still wouldn't work. I worry that videos like Pastor Lorenzo's do more harm than good. Aside from being little more than an ego-stroking exercise for the people doing the cart crashing, in the end it just reinforces the idea that outsiders are aggressive and condescending. These cart crashers are feeding into the narrative that the higher-ups have drilled into their victims. Many cult survivors, not just ex-JWs, have talked about how these types of encounters helped drive them deeper into the cult. Smug superiority isn't how you help people. Kindness and compassion are.
Hey Darth!!! Great seeing you again ❤️. Where is your partner? We like him too. Great video and look forward more videos as you continue to " Watch The Watchtower "...😂..
The only thing Russell and his Bible students have in common with Rutherford and his jehovah's witnesses is the watchtower magazine. But completely different religions.
The rank and file are the BIGGEST problem. They are the foot soldiers, recruiting new members. They are the ones who fund the machine, build the halls and give them to the org. It's the members who hide predators in their midst, refuse to call cops to protect children. The rank and file ARE the organization. Shame on every one of them.
So in most branches of Christianity there is no limit on how many people are saved and go to Heaven. Branches differ on how one is saved (predetermined, faith, acts, mix of both). JW are very much in the minority of secs that have a limit. Additionally many secs don’t believe in a new Earth. I know SDAs and JWs do but I am not aware of any other mainstream secs that do. Presumably that’s where the pastor’s confusion comes from.
A lot of nonsense was added after Russell. Not relying him of any responsibility, but it is unfair to attribute all oddities of the religion to the founder.
@@DarthMagog I would say that Russell introduced most of the strangest doctrinal ideas. Numerology, measuring pyramids, symbology etc... While Rutherfod was primarily responsible for introducing the high control practices. He loved power. And I strongly doubt either one of them would be happy to see what it's evolved into today.
I have seen jw carts in Raleigh, during the summer. I feel bad for the witnesses who had to stand out in the hot NC sun, during the summer, and, during a heat wave, no less - I think that it even got to the triple digits, that week. Plus, they were right next to fun places, like the North Carolina Museum of Natural Science, the North Carolina Museum of History, and even a state park.
It would be nice if there was a proper sit down for these things instead of "cart crashes." Wouldn't mind a free exchange of ideas, but Witnesses won't go for that.
That was an amateur move by Lorenzo approaching a woman with the JW for information. Good on him for being progressively minded though! But JW women are trained from childhood to not give info themselves and instead defer to a male member.
Yeah I get the feeling he read up more on the history than the culture. But for sure I'm glad he at least asked everyone at the cart. It's nice to see regular Christianity is moving past the sexism that Jehovah’s Witnesses are still embroiled in.
Lol no, actually it was because of a hostile takeover of the cult/corporation. The 2nd president hated the founder and wanted to erase him. I'll have to do a video on it one of these days.
Being Saved means saved so as not to die anymore. That is what Everlasting life means. The 144,000 are also saved because they will not die anymore having got the same immortal status as their head, Jesus. JWs in general and other humans who will be resurrected get the opportunity to qualify for everlasting life on earth. (Psalm 37:29) The righteous will possess the earth, And they will live forever on it.
1881 + 153 = 2034 John 21:9 When they came ashore, they saw there a charcoal fire with fish lying on it and bread. 10 Jesus said to them: “Bring some of the fish you just now caught.” 11 So Simon Peter went on board and hauled the net ashore full of big fish, 153 of them.
Jesus does choose who rules with him in his Kingdom. John 13:6 Then he came to Simon Peter. He said to him: “Lord, are you washing my feet?” 7 Jesus answered him: “What I am doing you do not understand now, but you will understand after these things.” 8 Peter said to him: “You will certainly never wash my feet.” Jesus answered him: “Unless I wash you, you have no share with me.” After Jesus was resurrected, these sealed ones were told to feed his sheep. The faithful slave. Matthew 24:45-47 John 21:17 He said to him a third time: “Simon son of John, do you have affection for me?” Peter became grieved that he asked him the third time: “Do you have affection for me?” So he said to him: “Lord, you are aware of all things; you know that I have affection for you.” Jesus said to him: “Feed my little sheep.18 Most truly I say to you, when you were younger, you used to clothe yourself and walk about where you wanted. But when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands and another man will clothe you and carry you where you do not wish.” 19 He said this to indicate by what sort of death he would glorify God. After he said this, he said to him: “Continue following me.” 20 Peter turned around and saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following, the one who at the evening meal had also leaned back on his chest and said: “Lord, who is the one betraying you?” 21 So when he caught sight of him, Peter said to Jesus: “Lord, what about this man?” 22 Jesus said to him: “If it is my will for him to remain until I come, of what concern is that to you? You continue following me.” 23 So the saying went out among the brothers that this disciple would not die. However, Jesus did not say to him that he would not die, but he said: “If it is my will for him to remain until I come, of what concern is that to you?” The Apostle Peter and Paul was writing letters to the congregations before the Gospels were ever written. By about 70 AD they were executed and Jerusalem was destroyed. As long as the Apostle John was alive they believed Jesus was returning. But about 25 or 30 years later, John received Revelation for the congregations. John probably was the Q source for the Gospels because he was an eyewitness to all about 70 AD.
The Harlot Clinging to Jesus! My Lord and God! Christendom Clinging to Jesus! Jesus is the head of the true congregation of Jehovah God! Stand in awe of him, all you offspring of Israel. Does God have brother's. The resurrected Jesus has brothers! After Jesus' resurrection. Jesus words proves there is a God and Father in heaven. John 20:17 Jesus said to her: “Stop clinging to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father and to my God and your God.’” Christ Brothers! Luke 22:28 “However, you are the ones who have stuck with me in my trials; 29 and I make a covenant with you, just as my Father has made a covenant with me, for a kingdom, 30 so that you may eat and drink at my table in my Kingdom, and sit on thrones to judge the 12 tribes of Israel. Revelation 5:9 And they sing a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll and open its seals, for you were slaughtered and with your blood you bought people for God out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, 10 and you made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God, and they are to rule as kings over the earth.” Revelation 1:5 and from Jesus Christ, “the Faithful Witness,” “the firstborn from the dead,” and “the Ruler of the kings of the earth.” To him who loves us and who set us free from our sins by means of his own blood 6 and he made us to be a kingdom, priests to his God and Father-yes, to him be the glory and the might forever. The Lukewarm Church Revelation 3:14 “And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, ‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: In Revelation 3:14, Jesus is referred to as, "the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of God's creation." The whole passage reads as "And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God".
Like in the Gospel of Mark the short and long conclusion was not originally there. The NWT ends at Mark 16:8 Jesus is the Lamb of The God of Abraham YHVH Yehovah Jehovah Mark 16:8 In the Gospel of Mark. If the women tell no one then, Who is ! What each Gospel story is about. The four living creatures! Matthew Who was! Mark Who is! Luke Who is Coming! John The Lamb of YHVH! The four gospels are associated with the four living creatures: Matthew, the man, Mark the lion, Luke the ox, and John the eagle. John has Jesus dying on a different day. It's the Day of Preparation, not the Day of Preparation for Passover. It was the day they prepared the lambs for sacrifice. While at the same time, Jesus is prepared for sacrifice. Jesus is the Lamb of YHVH Yehovah Jehovah a man, a lion, an ox and an eagle. The man symbolises the prophet; the lion, kingship; the ox, priesthood, and the eagle, fatherhood.
Jehovah God provided his son Jesus as the Lamb. Genesis 3:15 Jesus was sacrificed by Satan's seed! Genesis 22:8 To this Abraham said: “God himself will provide the Lamb...14 And Abraham named that place Je·hoʹvah-jiʹreh.* This is why it is still said today: “In the mountain of Jehovah it will be provided.” Footnotes * Meaning “Jehovah Will Provide; Jehovah Will See to It.” John 19:10 So Pilate said to him: “Are you refusing to speak to me? Do you not know that I have authority to release you and I have authority to execute you?” 11 Jesus answered him: “You would have no authority over me at all unless it had been granted to you from above. This is why the man who handed me over to you has greater sin.” John 10:18 No man takes it away from me, but I surrender it of my own initiative. I have authority to surrender it, and I have authority to receive it again. This commandment I received from my Father.”
You bring up the JW never know if they are one of the people that will survive Armageddon. So a person could be a "perfect" Jehovah Witness from the moment they are born and still not be saved.
Overlapping Generations! Saul , David, and Solomon! The Kingdom is 120 years! 2 Samuel 16:5 When King David reached Ba·huʹrim, a man of the family of Saul’s house named Shimʹe·i, the son of Geʹra, came out shouting curses as he approached. 6 He was throwing stones at David and at all the servants of King David, as well as at all the people and the mighty men on his right and on his left. 7 Shimʹe·i said as he cursed: “Get out, get out, you bloodguilty man! You worthless man! 8 Jehovah has brought back on you all the bloodguilt for the house of Saul, in whose place you have ruled as king, but Jehovah gives the kingship into the hand of Abʹsa·lom your son. Now calamity has overtaken you because you are a bloodguilty man!” 9 Then A·bishʹai the son of Ze·ruʹiah said to the king: “Why should this dead dog curse my lord the king? Let me go over, please, and take off his head.” 10 But the king said: “What do I have to do with you, you sons of Ze·ruʹiah? Let him curse me, for Jehovah has said to him, ‘Curse David!’ So who should say, ‘Why are you doing this?’” 11 David then said to A·bishʹai and all his servants: “Here my own son, who came from my own body, is seeking my life, and how much more now a Benʹja·min·ite! Leave him alone so that he may curse me, for Jehovah told him to! 12 Perhaps Jehovah will see my affliction, and Jehovah will restore goodness to me instead of the curses shouted at me this day.” 13 With that David and his men kept going down the road while Shimʹe·i was walking alongside the mountain abreast of him, shouting curses and throwing stones and a lot of dust.

The God of the old Testament is Yahweh, who is Jesus! The name was given to Moses! The Tent of Moses is the Tent of David, which is the House of David, the Samaritan Temple! Yahweh is from the Samaritans. John 4:22 Samaritans had their own temple! Within the region of Samaria, in the city of Sychar, was Jacob’s well. This was the location of Jesus’ conversation with the Samaritan woman, who asked, “Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his livestock?” (John 4:12). Later in the conversation, she brought up a centuries-old controversy: “Our ancestors worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem” (verse 20). “This mountain” is a reference to Mount Gerizim in the central Samaritan highlands, the place where the Samaritans had built their own temple, which they considered the true temple of God. John 4:22 You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, because salvation begins with the Jews.
I use I AM from King James Bible because most believe Jesus is God. But that is not what it means. The meaning of the name Yahweh is not limited to the related verb found at Exodus 3:14, which reads: “I AM Who I AM ” In the strictest sense, those words do not fully define God’s name. Rather, they reveal an aspect of God’s personality, showing that he becomes what is needed in each circumstance to fulfill his purpose. So while the name Yahweh may include this idea, it is not limited to what he himself chooses to become. It also includes what he causes to happen with regard to his creation and the accomplishment of his purpose.
The marriage of the Lamb! Abraham and the Lamb! Mary and the Lamb! YHVH Yehovah Jehovah! In Hebrew the “ah” ending is feminine in its conjunctive form like Ishah אִשָּׁ֔ה (women) opposed to Ish אִישׁ (man). The Hebrew word Yapheh which sounds similar to the name Yahweh is used to describe David (1 Samuel 17:42) יָפֶה (beautiful) in the masculine form. The feminine form of this Hebrew word is Yaphah יָפָ֖ה like we see in reference to Tamar in 2 Samuel 13:1. It is the name of the creator of the universe that that would have a feminine form of the name like you see in Yehovah. Revelation 19:9 And he tells me, “Write: Happy are those invited to the evening meal of the Lamb’s marriage.” Also, he tells me: “These are the true sayings of God.” 10 At that I fell down before his feet to worship him. But he tells me: “Be careful! Do not do that! I am only a fellow slave of you and of your brothers who have the work of witnessing concerning Jesus.Worship God! For the witness concerning Jesus is what inspires prophecy.”
The meaning of the name Jehovah is not limited to the related verb found at Exodus 3:14, which reads: “I Will Become What I Choose to Become” or, “I Will Prove to Be What I Will Prove to Be.” In the strictest sense, those words do not fully define God’s name. Rather, they reveal an aspect of God’s personality, showing that he becomes what is needed in each circumstance to fulfill his purpose. So while the name Jehovah may include this idea, it is not limited to what he himself chooses to become. It also includes what he causes to happen with regard to his creation and the accomplishment of his purpose.
Agenda 21 2030! Jesus is the Lamb. The Lamb started speaking like a dragon in 1914 Revelation 13:11 Revelation 16:13 The Trinity! The gathering of the Nations! The remnant is of the Samaritans who follow the Mighty God of the Nations. So the remnant is the 144,000 and the Lamb! Isaiah 10:21 Only a remnant will return, The remnant of Jacob, to the Mighty God. 22 For though your people, O Israel, Are as the grains of sand of the sea, Only a remnant of them will return. An extermination has been decided on, And justice will engulf them. 23 Yes, the extermination decided on by the Sovereign Lord, Jehovah of armies, Will be carried out in the entire land.

I started my beard a year too early and now suddenly when I run into someone from my old hall they think it's really cool that I have a beard and want to discuss beard maintenance.
Why do people make such a big deal about it. All in the congregations are enjoying the change. Why be such haters. So not Christ like.
Welcome back my lord. I didn’t know about this preacher and found this video interesting!
It was good to hear you fact check info on the JWs
Stuff like cart crashing isn't really to change minds; it's to reinforce the beliefs of those who do them. If this was a real debate, there'd be a mediator, time for the Witnesses to prepare as well as Pastor Lorenzo, and generally equal treatment. No, this was an exercise in treating someone as incorrect, and thus, worthy of scorn.
Yeah I certainly would prefer a proper mediator and a proper debate. It's just so hard to get members of these High Control groups to meet even in a neutral setting 😪
@@DarthMagogi have been asking Daro Weilburg for a debate, he keeps running away.
The witnesses are "prepared," that's why they are there, for interaction with the public, and to share their "religion" and find new members for their dwindling cult.
@@DarthMagog .. where did Jesus encourage debate?
JWs are simply following Jesus' teaching and the evidence stands on its own merits. - Matthew 24:14
@@mattmurdock2868 .. the success of public preaching precludes JWs from being defined as a 'cult' - they are legalized worldwide in some 239 lands where they are allowed to peacefully practice their faith and give witness in public exactly as taught in the Bible.
Name a government that legalizes 'cults' by definition.
Do you have a dictionary?
Is English your first language?
I was wondering where you were at. Your Christmas break was long as hell 😂😂 happy you’re still at it 🥳
It is hard trying to explain to people that persecution or debates won't convince JWs...
You could bring them historical accounts of what Christians in the 1st age believed and show them it doesn't fit their theology at all and that still wouldn't work.
I hope one day we can learn how to explain to people that nothing is that simple...
Honestly I've found soft activism seems to work better. Getting a genuine conversation going just requires a bit of kindness, empathy and genuine curiosity. I think it was... I wanna say Matt Delahunty that said "Keep asking "why" and eventually you'll get to the core."
Nice to see you. Love the comeback.
Glad to be back

I really hate when people think that assumption equals fact.
I like this format of determining what is truly fact versus outright assumption. Well done, Darth Magog!
The Dark Side is the path to many abilities that the Witnesses would call, unnatural. Critical thinking is the specific ability lol. Glad you liked it Alpha ☺
Learning that the archangel Micheal was supposed to be Jesus 20 years after I left the religion really goes to show my dad was right. I really didn't pay attention at the meetings
Luckily it was all nonsense, so I say you dodged a bullet 😂
I worry that videos like Pastor Lorenzo's do more harm than good.
Aside from being little more than an ego-stroking exercise for the people doing the cart crashing, in the end it just reinforces the idea that outsiders are aggressive and condescending. These cart crashers are feeding into the narrative that the higher-ups have drilled into their victims.
Many cult survivors, not just ex-JWs, have talked about how these types of encounters helped drive them deeper into the cult. Smug superiority isn't how you help people. Kindness and compassion are.
Not only that but this pastor is trying to forcibly convert them to his sect of Christianity we atheists also hate that
Something practising JWs wouldn't know anything about.
Hey Darth!!! Great seeing you again ❤️. Where is your partner? We like him too. Great video and look forward more videos as you continue to " Watch The Watchtower "...😂..
Fives has been staying busy. But is doing well 😁
The only thing Russell and his Bible students have in common with Rutherford and his jehovah's witnesses is the watchtower magazine. But completely different religions.
Physically too at this point. Learned that the Bible Students are still around, though they're virtually extinct.
I hate cart crash videos too cause the rank and file are not the problem. It’s the organization (people you don’t see) as a whole that are.
That and it reinforces the persecution complex.
Bro, I can totally see your eyes through the lenses get darker lenses
Are they pretty eyes tho? 🤩
@@DarthMagog yes
So in most branches of Christianity there is no limit on how many people are saved and go to Heaven. Branches differ on how one is saved (predetermined, faith, acts, mix of both). JW are very much in the minority of secs that have a limit. Additionally many secs don’t believe in a new Earth. I know SDAs and JWs do but I am not aware of any other mainstream secs that do.
Presumably that’s where the pastor’s confusion comes from.
your costume is awesome! love the claws!
Glad you like it :)
A lot of nonsense was added after Russell. Not relying him of any responsibility, but it is unfair to attribute all oddities of the religion to the founder.
Yeah, if anyone should Shoulder most of the blame, I'd put it on ol Judge Rutherford. He really went off the rails on the crazy train 😳
Interesting video, dark lord of the apostates. Yes, it seems more are taking notice of JW's. What's the saying sunlight is the best sterilizer.
Millenial Dawn...sounds really Star Wars
Doesn't it? I think that's the name of the Old Jedi Order series
How is it going with that criticism of the Left Behind movie trilogy? Or were just going after those god awful Left Behind books?

Tbh, the way he phrased his criticism of NWT had an echo of KJV-onlyism, so I'd personally withhold points pending further investigation

Did they change their name because people kept calling them a bunch of BS'ers?
Lol no, actually it was because of a hostile takeover of the cult/corporation. The 2nd president hated the founder and wanted to erase him. I'll have to do a video on it one of these days.
@@DarthMagog Hey! Thanks for explaining that despite me being silly. ^^
Being Saved means saved so as not to die anymore.
That is what Everlasting life means.
The 144,000 are also saved because they will not die anymore having got the same immortal status as their head, Jesus.

John 21:9 When they came ashore, they saw there a charcoal fire with fish lying on it and bread.
He said to him: “Lord, are you washing my feet?” 7 Jesus answered him: “What I am doing you do not understand now, but you will understand after these things.” 8 Peter said to him: “You will certainly never wash my feet.” Jesus answered him: “Unless I wash you, you have no share with me.”
After Jesus was resurrected, these sealed ones were told to feed his sheep. The faithful slave. Matthew 24:45-47
John 21:17 He said to him a third time: “Simon son of John, do you have affection for me?” Peter became grieved that he asked him the third time: “Do you have affection for me?” So he said to him: “Lord, you are aware of all things; you know that I have affection for you.” Jesus said to him: “Feed my little sheep.18 Most truly I say to you, when you were younger, you used to clothe yourself and walk about where you wanted. But when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands and another man will clothe you and carry you where you do not wish.” 19 He said this to indicate by what sort of death he would glorify God. After he said this, he said to him: “Continue following me.”
20 Peter turned around and saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following, the one who at the evening meal had also leaned back on his chest and said: “Lord, who is the one betraying you?” 21 So when he caught sight of him, Peter said to Jesus: “Lord, what about this man?” 22 Jesus said to him: “If it is my will for him to remain until I come, of what concern is that to you? You continue following me.” 23 So the saying went out among the brothers that this disciple would not die. However, Jesus did not say to him that he would not die, but he said: “If it is my will for him to remain until I come, of what concern is that to you?”
The Apostle Peter and Paul was writing letters to the congregations before the Gospels were ever written.

Jesus is the Lamb of YHVH Yehovah Jehovah
a man, a lion, an ox and an eagle. The man symbolises the prophet; the lion, kingship; the ox, priesthood, and the eagle, fatherhood.
Jehovah God provided his son Jesus as the Lamb. Genesis 3:15 Jesus was sacrificed by Satan's seed! Genesis 22:8 To this Abraham said: “God himself will provide the Lamb...14 And Abraham named that place Je·hoʹvah-jiʹreh.* This is why it is still said today: “In the mountain of Jehovah it will be provided.”

* Meaning “Jehovah Will Provide; Jehovah Will See to It.”
John 19:10 So Pilate said to him: “Are you refusing to speak to me? Do you not know that I have authority to release you and I have authority to execute you?” 11 Jesus answered him: “You would have no authority over me at all unless it had been granted to you from above. This is why the man who handed me over to you has greater sin.”
John 10:18 No man takes it away from me, but I surrender it of my own initiative. I have authority to surrender it, and I have authority to receive it again. This commandment I received from my Father.”
You bring up the JW never know if they are one of the people that will survive Armageddon. So a person could be a "perfect" Jehovah Witness from the moment they are born and still not be saved.

The Marriage of the Lamb had not happened yet. Don't you see their expectations were false. Should all of the Protestants stayed in the Catholic Church! The Lamb started speaking like a Dragon in 1914! The arrival of the 7th Kingdom. Jesus is King of David's Kingdom! Was King David confused, too!
2 Samuel 24:1 The anger of Jehovah again blazed against Israel when one incited David against them, saying: “Go, take a count of Israel and Judah.”
1 Chronicles 21:1 Then Satan stood up against Israel and incited David to number Israel.
Jehovah God's Spirit Directed World! Will Jehovah's anger blaze at the world also!
Revelation 17:17 For God put it into their hearts to carry out his thought, yes, to carry out their one thought by giving their kingdom to the wild beast, until the words of God will have been accomplished.
