Dude is the best phone reviewer. I only watch when I'm looking for a "new" phone, as in new to me, and well I busted my LG Velvet screen and somehow decided to get a V60 off eBay for $200, vs a Moto G power 2024 which is $400 in Canada, and man I'm glad I made that weird decision. And now that I'm looking around more in depth it's kinda nuts that the V60 is so loved 4+ years later. The thing is a steal if you are budget minded and want flagship quality.
My LGV60 is still awesome. I get asked all the time what kind of phone I have and the dual screen is so cool to see. Also my 74 MP rear camera is among the best for phones and I always get asked to take photo for someone
I'm really glad to hear you and other reviewers telling these manufacturers how cheap they are to de-content the phones as well as the peripherals that they used to include in the box. Please keep it up!
I'm on my second LG V60 and I still have my original screen case working fine. Big screen, fast, very well built phone it's too bad LG stop making phones imagine what the LG V80 would be like.
As someone who used to have a Samsung Galaxy Fold under carrier before returning it in favour of an Unlocked LG V50 with its detachable Dual Screen case, I can easily say that I don't miss foldable screen at all. Dual display brings so much flexibility that foldable screen can only dream about, especially when using two apps simultaneously. I'm not a big fan of the V60's Dual Screen case solution since it forgoes pogo pin, but I'm still thinking of having it in my collection. There's no other phone that can give Quad DAC, active stylus support, and dual display option for under $900 when new. Even nowadays, a bundled V60 with its Dual Screen is obtainable for around $400.
@@SalsHQ It depends, because The V60 has a lot of on board DSP that effects the sound signature while My V20 does not. The V20 is more of a Raw DAC but is B&O tuned for whatever that is worth. They both sound Great tho.
Let me tell you LG struck gold when they made the v20 because everybody copied that upper display from the v20 on other devices they started that Trend along with the wide-angle cameras. What turns me off from the v20 is that the battery life just drained but then again you can get replaceable battery so out of all the LG devices that's one of my all-time favorites and then follow it up with the v30 V60 and the G6 and not to mention the LG wing which unfortunately I dropped and cracked the back screen but I'm hoping to get that fixed but not no time soon unfortunately
Great video reviewing the full functionalities of the quite underrated LG V60. For all the enthusiast and tech-savvy, this phone can still perform like a champ going forward to 2024, even 2025 if good care is taken.
This phone was amazing... The second screen being operable separate from the main screen was a game changer... I just had to upgrade due to damage, but I will 100% be missing this experience...
Still using my LG v60, love it! Android 13, option to use a second screen as a foldable, fantastic audio with ess sabre Quad DAC, 3.5mm headphone socket, aptx adaptive, sd card slot... As well as wireless earbuds, I'm using sennheiser hd 560s over ears and they sound great with my v60.
Watching from my LG V60. I've had this phone for 2 years, I was looking to upgrade and realized that I'd be downgrading if I got anything on the current market. The only positives to upgrading would be better cameras in low light. Nothing matches this phone when recording live footage at concerts, you cannot peak these mics like a Samsung. The phone will be plenty speedy still going into 2024 and maybe even a few years beyond. Um headphones jack and SD card slot is a winner. Dual screen productivity. The speakers on the phone are loud and clear. I use a bamboo stylus to write notes. When in the dual case, the mag safe adapter is a winner, I love just putting my charging cable near the phone and it snapping to it. You can also dock this phone and get a desktop mode experience like DEX. The battery is huge and lasts a long time if you're not using both screens for gaming lol. Wireless charging is okay, great backup if your port breaks which will never happen if you never take it out of the case. The screen is industry standard flagship 6.8". It isn't quad HD but you'll never notice, it is 60 hz, but it never bothered me. Those two things are also good for battery saving. The screen gets plenty bright. I work in landscaping outdoors and never have an issue viewing anything. There's many many reasons to love this phone. I don't need to upgrade, I don't want to upgrade, but there is no upgrade path forward. Either run this phone into the ground or buy a Samsung. We don't talk about the surface duo...that's a huge downgrade. It's worth it to note that the dual screen is somewhat fragile. I've had to use insurance once after I realized you do not use screen protectors on this device! It will crack the dual screen when it folds. A year after that I cracked it again and don't know how but will have to use insurance again.
Here are a few questions. 1. Does the phone feel bulky on a day to day usage if you always keep it in the Dual Screen Case? Do you just get used to the weight after a few days or does it still feel noticeable? 2. Knowing V60 offers excellent battery life with nearly 10 hours of SOT on a day and a half usage, how much does the secondary screen affect the battery percentage if you always use it? 3. Do you feel a bit more functionality on the tiny third screen would have been more practical like at least receiving the calls or dialing someone? 4. Can you charge the phone wirelessly with the DS case? 5. I have read quite a few charging port failure issues on the V60, apparently the numbers seem staggering and surely it's the weakest area of the phone. I assume keeping the phone inside the DS case and using the magnetic charging adapter might actually prolong the USB-C charging port unless someone plans to do wireless exclusively.
Iirc the v60 competed with the galaxy S10 series. I have an S10+ and a s22 ultra and camera aside, the S10+ is a beast. I was so torn between the v60 and the S10+
@@kamrulhassan7185 1. Yes, the phone is bulky. It is the same dimensions though as a Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra in a full body case, and since the DS case is the case, it really isn't a con. 2. Single screen - excellent life, dual screen - not so much. I don't use the dual screen all the time though, it's only for occasion like taking a picture while having gallery open, or taking a huge screenshot, copy and paste between apps, or reading. You can turn the second screen off when you don't need it. I found I still got a full days use even with occasional dual screen use. 3. I love that the tiny outer screen doesn't have more functionality, no butt dials! That said, you can see who is calling and answer the call screen closed with the Google assistant button and hang up also. To make a call you must unfold it, which I find as a pro. 4. Yes you can charge wirelessly with the case on! 5. Yes, the charging port is the weakest link, mine started to not accept a charging cable properly out of the DS case, but the case still works great and charges fine with the mag safe adapter. Out of the case requires a wireless charger to be reliable charging. I wish LG could have stuck around a little longer to perfect the tiny things. I wish the case had a docking point on the phone separate from the type C for the case to use.
@@stevenbrindisi4719 1. Do you feel the DS case is safe enough to protect the phone against drops and falls compared to a rugged case from Otter, Spigen or alike? Also, are you able to apply glass protectors on both the inner screens and still able to comfortably fold them? 3. Did you need to reprogram the Google Assistant button to accept/reject calls or the functionality comes automatically when you attach the phone to the DS case? 5. Do you notice any difference in size or shape in the USB-C connector of the DS case compared to the one on your charging cable? One user on Reddit said that the connector in the DS case is pointed to a slightly upward angle. I find it rather strange that the phone won't take charge through the USB-C port out of the DS case but at the same time there won't be any issue with connectivity to the secondary display. You don't need them anyway when it's closed when you're not using it. 2. No reprogramming, the case tells you to answer using the Google Assistant button with an incoming call. 3. There is no angle to the Type C connector on the case that I can tell, I believe the issue is that because the phone fits tight in the case, installing and removing the phone causes you to put pressure inside the charging port at an angle that eventually stretches out the port on the phone.

I want a new phone because my S10 Plus is cracked, the headphone jack is gunked up, and the charging port needs to be replaced. And I want 5g. Also I just want a new phone. I bought my S10 Plus a little over 2 year ago used and it's been good to me. It's still an amazing phone and I love all of its features, but I just want a new phone. I've settled on an LG V60. It's only one year newer than my S10 Plus, but it has all of the features I love in a phone and I'm excited to try out the quad dac and the dual screen case.
I still love mine and although I have a Google Pixel 6 Pro, I still use my V60 and i have never had a phone 3 years old that was not outdated. Except the V60! Good everything!
I had one and liked it....i wished they made different colors for the second screen plus the hinge started messing up. I switched to the galaxy fold 4 and glad i upgraded
I love my LG V60 i had to get a port replacement but i still love it. I've been wanting to buy a 1 TB sd card this will probably be my last chance to do so phone wise.
Theres a lot of V60 selling for under 100 to 200 dollars -- which is definitely better than any brand new phone you can purchase up to 300. However theres a lot of suspicion on the V60 units being genuine at all, like some of its parts being replaced with inferior ones, which could be in any or all of the following: the screen, the microphones, the battery, the usb port and the speakers
I think you mentioned that it does have pen support. I didn't see you using it, but it does add an additional dimension to the phone. I'm enjoying it quite well.
True Statements! The BEST Headphone jack...So Awesome I just bought another. Brand New never used..Dual screen too! Took awhile to find it.. Great video!

I use the second screen from time to time. With the second screen it's a bit bulky for my trouser pockets (fine for my coat) - nice thing is its quick and easy to skip the second screen on and off. I can charge wirelessly with the second screen and my wireless charger (even if I couldn't it's so easy to slip the second screen on and off it wouldn't be an issue for me if my wireless charger didn't work with the second screen).
Sadly for my 2nd hand lgv60 unit, my battery isnt that great. 😢 i hope i could stoll get it repaired in the official LG service center. BUT. STANDBY TIME IS THE BESSSSTTT. I tried not using the phone too much and it lasted for 3-4 days. I just got Android 13 and will observe battery performance.
I finally bought one 100% new unlocked with second screen. Put Android 13 on just last week! The phone is incredible. Using in Canada. Great ram Great snapdragon Removeable storage Pen support...i have the Waccom bamboo pen...quite responsive Ip68 Dual screen Wireless charging Headphone jack a must love Quad Dec 4 mics Desktop experience pretty good 5000mah battery This phone I have running side by side with my Samsung Ultra Note 20....final verdict.......while the DEX is a much better desktop and has built in bluetooth pen and 120hz display....the V60 is still go to phone.....both are great and offer same snapdragon. A hugely under rated phone. Its the SLEEPER car that surprises everybody when it eats sports cars for breakfast. Solid build Beautiful phone. For MOST....the 60hz will be quite adequate. Camera is on par with my Notes 20 for pics. Beats the Note 20 though for its amazing 8K video. With update to Android 13, the finger print reader just as well as my Notes 20. I got my 1st one in 2021 for $369. 99% brand new. Added dual screen for $99. Just got my 2nd "some day back up" from ebay $149. Also 99% brand new. Every single thing you've mentioned is why I'll never own a $1300 Samsung or Apple phone. Yeah I'm pretty sure that it won't get any more OTA android updates. But it's better than 99% of the current bunch of fan boy phones

You know this phone has "fast charging" and wireless " fast charging" I don't have, and don't want a computer, my phone is my internet!! I'm on it daily!! It does charge fast!! I was at 35% in less than 2hrs. it was 93% 😳🙄so that meant it was fully charged in less than 2hrs and 15mins.🤔😏👌🏾............By the way, I don't like it to get below 60% if I can help it!!🧐
Flagship devices from 2019 and 2020 are still relevant 'till this day. I think I'm gonna stop using my LG G8 if parts become harder to source in the near future.
Vern they just released the pixel fold as you know $1,800 and you could actually go get a V60 for $179 and then maybe get a dual screen case for what 120 to 150 so total out-of-pocket you may be paying close to 3:50 and you'll get the same dual-screen experience at a lesser price but you know people are going to flock to the latest and greatest and be paying a car payment, house payment maybe even a car payment with insurance just to have a phone that folds in your pocket. The only way I can afford any, foldable phone is get the dual-screen case for the V60 which I bought another one because I crap my other one and it wasn't really working that well anyway that's the only way unless somebody just sent me a fold Galaxy fold or pixel 4 for free and say here you go on us other than that the V60 with the dual-screen case would get the job done for me. I can't speak for anybody else but I couldn't even rightly justify well I'm going to keep this phone for a few years and so that $1,800 is worth it there ain't no way
I kinda want this phone but I just got S23 FE😢 the only thing that's stopping me from selling my phone and get this was the single sim. I need dual sim😣 but I ordered this phone for my sis to replace her Huawei Nova 3i from stone age😂 I hope she'll be happy with it🥰 I'm excited🥹🥹
My only gripe is that Bluetooth connects to Aptx Adaptive and has no way to switch to Aptx HD once it does. As such, I can't really use my earbuds(B&W Pi7) to their true full capabilities. Still, I love this phone.
Do you know how to turn off the charging sound on v60? And had an LGG7 for the last 5yrs if the charge port hasn't broke I'd still be using it. It's specs are still better than any mid range or most other phones under $500. Which is why I just picked up this V60 for $100.

Love you so much my little brother in Christ Jesus ✝️ ✝️ ✝️ you and tech preacher got me sold on lg v60
Need to buy one.. I've been looking at the specs of this phone since last year
I want a new phone because my S10 Plus is cracked, the headphone jack is gunked up, and the charging port needs to be replaced.
Thanks for video of LG V60,good explication
I still love mine and although I have a Google Pixel 6 Pro, I still use my V60 and i have never had a phone 3 years old that was not outdated. Except the V60! Good everything!
It's amazing! Love the phone!
Ya i really really want to get one of these with the dual screen case.... Awesome phone.
Watching from mu v60 thinq 5g dual screen android 11 this machine is magical and beast all day... Great loud speaker 🔊 and earphone 🎧 jack
Thanks for watching 🙂
I ended up upgrading to the Samsung Galaxy z Fold 3, but I converted my v60 to a gaming console and it's still a beast ❤
Ooh relevant...I thought I was trippin. Great vid bro...and yea Amazon renewed is the way to go 👍🏾
I just got Android 13 a month or so ago and the July update patch yesterday ❤️
I had one and liked it....i wished they made different colors for the second screen plus the hinge started messing up. I switched to the galaxy fold 4 and glad i upgraded
Using LG V40 ThinQ and I'm proud to have it. 💞 Love it. 🥰 I wish LG Mobile should come back in future soon. 🥺
Miss LG
I love my LG V60 i had to get a port replacement but i still love it. I've been wanting to buy a 1 TB sd card this will probably be my last chance to do so phone wise.
Let me add one more:. It runs cool to the touch. Newer phones stay warm if not hot.
Great video bro
Thanks bro 😀
Theres a lot of V60 selling for under 100 to 200 dollars -- which is definitely better than any brand new phone you can purchase up to 300. However theres a lot of suspicion on the V60 units being genuine at all, like some of its parts being replaced with inferior ones, which could be in any or all of the following: the screen, the microphones, the battery, the usb port and the speakers
I think you mentioned that it does have pen support. I didn't see you using it, but it does add an additional dimension to the phone. I'm enjoying it quite well.
I don't have a pen for it. That's why I didn't demonstrate. No need since I use my Note 20 Ultra
It haa pen/stylus support, both screens.
I wish lg stayed in the phone game and continued its v series phones, i absolutly love the v60 with the dual screen case.
Thanks for watching 😊
I just ordered one, it will be here on Sunday!
I ordered one today, refurb but I'm guessing I'll get about 2 years out of it for less than $200. That dual screen case has gotten pricey though.
True Statements! The BEST Headphone jack...So Awesome I just bought another. Brand New never used..Dual screen too! Took awhile to find it.. Great video!
You can use the magnetic usb-c charging head and leave it on your phone so you wouldn't need to plug in and off all the time.
@@TaigiTWeseDiplomat--Formosan Does it charge slower through the magnetic adapter compared to the USB-C cable connected directly?
I use the second screen from time to time. With the second screen it's a bit bulky for my trouser pockets (fine for my coat) - nice thing is its quick and easy to skip the second screen on and off.
I can charge wirelessly with the second screen and my wireless charger (even if I couldn't it's so easy to slip the second screen on and off it wouldn't be an issue for me if my wireless charger didn't work with the second screen).
Great video u should have more subscribers for sure ✊🏿
maybe 2023 is the comeback of LG SMARTPHONE...maybe😊😊😊
Thanks for watching 🙂
I just bought one on Amazon Renewed $170 with 90 day gurantee. Mint condition.
Excellent 👍
Totally agree
Hey man, nice review!
Thanks
buying today for 230 usd...best deal!
People should experience a phone like this, and tote it around, just to understand what it feels like when a brand cares about the user experience.
Nice I just ordered me one
I love you channel and i just found it 😂❤
Thanks. I appreciate it. 🙂
I'm still rocking my lg g8 and my note 9
I miss LG mean. They were one of my favorite smartphone companies
I couldn't agree more 👌
I finally bought one 100% new unlocked with second screen. Put Android 13 on just last week! The phone is incredible. Using in Canada.
Great ram
Great snapdragon
Removeable storage
Pen support...i have the Waccom bamboo pen...quite responsive
Ip68
Dual screen
Wireless charging
Headphone jack a must love
Quad Dec 4 mics
Desktop experience pretty good
5000mah battery
This phone I have running side by side with my Samsung Ultra Note 20....final verdict.......while the DEX is a much better desktop and has built in bluetooth pen and 120hz display....the V60 is still go to phone.....both are great and offer same snapdragon.
A hugely under rated phone. Its the SLEEPER car that surprises everybody when it eats sports cars for breakfast.
Solid build
Beautiful phone.
For MOST....the 60hz will be quite adequate.
Camera is on par with my Notes 20 for pics. Beats the Note 20 though for its amazing 8K video.
With update to Android 13, the finger print reader just as well as my Notes 20.
There is a lot to love about this phone!
Sound is louder and clear and cleaner then my Ultra Note 20.
LG should do a HUGE surprise release with a V100!
Simply put.....Excellent phone
What's the LG version of Dex called?
Its totally worth itttttttt.....!!!😍😍😍😍😍
On my lg v60, it can reach 14-15 hours screen on time.
Been using this phone since summer 2019. Still runs like new. Cracked the screen for the first time in October. The only feature I don't like is the magnetic port on the case.
Just saw one. Good shape for 129. Unloccked Verizon. I may jump. I don't fear light scratches.
Is video OK with portrait video?
I not sure I've never used it. I'm pretty simply when it comes to Camera's. 😔
@@vernonleewarren280 hey that was kind to answer my friend. I shoot videos of guitar and always looking to up my photography. I know buying a DSLR is where it's at but I know the DSLR that are worthy are way more than I can afford. I use pixel 4xl 2 now and one plus 7t. In good light both are great. But I really would like portrait video. I will have to wait a bit til I can afford the pixel 7. Hahah. Or s22. Thanks again my friend.
You mentioned Amazon renewed phones.. do you usually purchase Excellent condition? I heard people say even buying Acceptable condition are great phones.
I've had the LG G2 / V30 / V40 and loved them all. I have the Velvet right now which is nothing special but has gotten the job done
All my renewed devices were in excellent condition
I have 2T SD card from AliExpress and worked with my V60.
Wow! That's what's up! I didn't know 2tb SD cards existed
2T SD card from AliExpress? You like living dangerously, amigo! 😄
Best audio and best battery wow
I wish i knew how to get that kinda battery life, what app do you use to keep changing your wallpaper?
HD Wallpapers
But where may I purchase this though...? Attach link in the description?
I got my 1st one in 2021 for $369. 99% brand new. Added dual screen for $99. Just got my 2nd "some day back up" from ebay $149. Also 99% brand new. Every single thing you've mentioned is why I'll never own a $1300 Samsung or Apple phone. Yeah I'm pretty sure that it won't get any more OTA android updates. But it's better than 99% of the current bunch of fan boy phones
It's going to get Android 13
@@vernonleewarren280 Thanks....any idea when ?
@@robertc4826 no. I probably would think the next couple of months at the most
AT&T won't activate any V60 any more.
13:14 The microsoft bamboo pen/stylus for this phone functions very similar to a s-pen with buttons on the pen that open menus ect and pen software built into the phone and pen... Good video by the way 👏🏼 👍🏼.
You know this phone has "fast charging" and wireless " fast charging" I don't have, and don't want a computer, my phone is my internet!! I'm on it daily!! It does charge fast!! I was at 35% in less than 2hrs. it was 93% 😳🙄so that meant it was fully charged in less than 2hrs and 15mins.🤔😏👌🏾............By the way, I don't like it to get below 60% if I can help it!!🧐
Why cant i get android 12 on my lg v60 softbank japanese model?
I wish I could tell, but I don't know
It's worth it bro I just ordered one today. Got Samsung galaxy a54 5g and I'm turn it in LG v60 will destroy a54 5g and 3 years old
I find a brand new one for 345
Is it worth it?
Also im planning this lg v60 or a s10 plus
Wich one is the better option?
I would go with the LGV60
bro what is the stroge type of this device UFS 2.1 vs 3.0
As the 2.1 but it has a different process of using it so you don't really notice that much of a difference
Did you get android 13? Because I heard there can be performance issued.
Flagship devices from 2019 and 2020 are still relevant 'till this day. I think I'm gonna stop using my LG G8 if parts become harder to source in the near future.
I use G8x
The V60 is a great phone, it's such a shame LG finally got it right and then ended their phone line
I can't speak for anybody else but I couldn't even rightly justify well I'm going to keep this phone for a few years and so that $1,800 is worth it there ain't no way
I feel you on this bro 🙂
I kinda want this phone but I just got S23 FE😢 the only thing that's stopping me from selling my phone and get this was the single sim. I need dual sim😣 but I ordered this phone for my sis to replace her Huawei Nova 3i from stone age😂 I hope she'll be happy with it🥰 I'm excited🥹🥹
☝🏾Plus!! Just give consumers the option to choose either or!!🧐🙄🤔
Is this US release?
Yes
My only gripe is that Bluetooth connects to Aptx Adaptive and has no way to switch to Aptx HD once it does. As such, I can't really use my earbuds(B&W Pi7) to their true full capabilities. Still, I love this phone.
Got to use the 3 finger swipe to change screens
Do you know how to turn off the charging sound on v60?
And had an LGG7 for the last 5yrs if the charge port hasn't broke I'd still be using it. It's specs are still better than any mid range or most other phones under $500. Which is why I just picked up this V60 for $100.
where do yall buy lg v60s for 100 dollars?
@@akilbarboni4198 just lucked out bought one off offer up. They were trying to sell for several months at going price $250. They dropped the price I think it was 175. I gave 120. Works great other than the color is off
Where did you get the case and how much?
The Dual Screen Case?
@@vernonleewarren280 yes
$129 on Amazon
@@vernonleewarren280 do you have a link? Also did it come with the magnetic charger.
I was really sorry LG stopped producing phones!!😞 I love their sound quality!! Have been using LG phones since (2008) All the reviews of the cameras though, I don't get,😳🤔I'm not a photographer, I wish they focused more on their hidden features!!🧐
what's the name of the wallpaper app you're using... it's very cool
HD Wallpapers
@@vernonleewarren280 thanks 😊
@@vernonleewarren280 please i need clarification on something... the v60 has a fhd+ display but it's able to play games at ultra hd or the highest graphics... how do games define high graphics?? or it's due to the GPU
I'm sorry but I can't answer that question. I don't play games on my devices
@@vernonleewarren280 alright but please do let me know when you find out 🙏
Im watching this on my V20
And i have 2 V60's blue and white
